@Hunter Smith also my dad's favourite (and mines). My dad is a DJ. He's been doing his Blues Brothers skit for 30 years now. He and his DJ partner always go out dressed as the Blues Brothers and always performed this song in the bars. They have the whole bar singing with them everytime. Everyone calls him the Karaoke King. They all love him. I've now joined him in the fun. They love the father-son duo we've become.

Jake and Elwood ACTUALLY brought the blues back to life in the 80's...If Sly Stallone can get into the Boxing Hall of Fame, The Blues Brothers belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!!!!

very true, one of the best movies ever made, and thats what the 80's so great is these type of movies, and yes its a real shame that this type of dont get made anymore in this type of style, john landis back in 80's was a master film maker, its a real shame these type of movies ended in the 80's, quality film making with great story and script

I'm very sorry for your loss but I just wanna say, my grandpa also loved this movie and we also played this song at his funeral! It was in 2018 but I think it's a funny coincidence.

Such a great film. One of those rare and non-pretentious films that will always be a celebration of music. We need more films like this

My brother and his fiancé had a wedding 4 years ago at the House of Blues in New Orleans. We held a parade in the street, a blues band followed behind us playing this exact song as we danced with random strangers through the streets of the French Quarter. It really did feel a scene from this a movie! Now every time I hear this song, I think of my brother's wedding. :)

I can text, email, or phone my son and start that 106 mile phrase, and he will finish it from wherever he is. We started out doing that just from being in different rooms in our home when the movie first came out years ago when he was in school, and now he will finish it from wherever in the country he is at the moment.

HE was the quintissential "Straight man" that made it soooo damn funny. Hollywood sneers at productions that they can't control the content and all aspects of production. Yeah, back to Lucas....he wanted to do it right! Use special effects that had never been done before. Made "Industrial Light & Magic" as his own company. The rest is legend!

Dan aykroyd was a real artist. He was tje mind and the heart behind those movies and still he played apparently in the background, leaving the scene to belushi and Murray. Great artist, creative, inspired, genuine

Technically it’s not a musical, a musical comedy would be a better way to describe it. It’s not really a musical unless they sing songs as part of the plot like The Sound Of Music or Mary Poppins. Apart from the song Think by Aretha Franklin, no song is sung as part of the plot, most songs are sung for performances.

Back when I was young and lost...I had this movie on VHS tape and played it over and and over again just so that I could face the world the next day. That was so many years ago, but I am so grateful that this movie ever existed. I LOVE Blues Brothers. Thank you😭

I lost my dad in 2020 he was born in 61’ he loved this movie the blues brothers is a classic every time I watch it I just think of him being in his 20s during the 80s makes me live my life like he did during those times.. miss u dad 💙

I like how the police had them dead to rights, but Mr. Mercer (John Candy) wanted to hear them sing first.

Man, looking at this film now, I love how this whole scene is basically shot on tripods with absolutely no hand held camera shots. Yet it's still such high energy. Kind of a testament to the old style of filmmaking and the totally different feel it gave.

I'm in my 40's and thankfully my dad is still here. This is the first movie I remember my dad taking us to see. When that day comes and he's gone...I don't think I'll ever be able to watch it again.

Yes!! No matter what kind of day it has been, when I hear this song and especially when I watch this video I just can't help but get a big grin on my face!! Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi had so much fun together, didn't they? And yes, as other people have noted this music and the movie are timeless and it's hard to believe all of the years that have gone by since it was made!

What a masterpiece. I love the film. I keep listening to the soundtrack of the film in spotify.

Me and my friend are gonna dress up as Elwood and Jake and sing this song infront of everybody in school as we graduate.

how i came across this movie, my mama was watching it and she told me how she grew up watching the blue brothers on tv and i had no clue what it was , now that i’m older little did i know this movie was a classic and a masterpiece, it was made to be timeless 👏🏾

Dang, you must be young, and grew up with Jack Black doing Jackass.....no disrespect for your innocence or ignorance, but they planned that movie in like a trilogy, but John went to that Laurel Canyon party where he dies speedballing...(that was BEFORE crack). He me the same fate of EVERYBODY who hung out int the Laural Canyon. Don't do the Deep State Lie...you will DIE!!

Thumbs up if you can't remember how many times you've seen this classic movie and still want to see it again. John Belushi and John Candy were two of the funniest comedic actors of all time. RIP both, the world misses the laughs you gave us.

My favorite movie ever since I was a kid. I was born in 1993, and I must have been like 6 when my mom got me the VHS, and I watched it over and over and over. Will always be my favorite film of all time. It has everything - sweet cars, comedy, action, great actors, real muscians, and its basically a musical in a way. God I live this film

Classics never die. They just age like the finest wine. Da boys were on point in this flick. Brilliant. I NEVER tire of it. RIP John. And Cab's Minnie the moocher. I've got the original by him, but in the movie his rendition is sublime.

I still have the soundtrack cassette of this classic. Great music is forever RIP Belushi.

One of the greatest movies of all time. A MISSION FROM GOD🙏 The MUSIC!! All the Smashed Cop Cars! Destroying a Shopping Mall. John Candy. John Belushi. And all the musicians!!! Absolutely FABULOUS

Wish I was half as cool as one half of one Blues Brother.

I remember being able to say 'representatives of Illinois law enforcement community' before I even learned english in school thanks to my dad loving this film. Great memories.

I just Love this movie and the singing and dancing by John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. What talent!!! A timeless movie . ~ The Blues Brothers~ Will live on forever!!

Im 32yrs and seen this movie dozens of times and there is no playback like nowdays its just pure

I will NEVER get tired of this movie! And John Belushi had a great voice!

I saw this movie countless times when it was released. Not once was I not stoned . Good times of my miss spent youth haha

My wife downloaded this on her phone and it wakes us up in the morning now to this song ! Even our cat gets in the groove ! It's the best song ever to wake up to as a ring tone introduction for the day ! We just got it a few days ago and it's a miracle !

This Movie was extremely popular with the troops stationed in West Germany in the 80's. I need You You You in particular was a song sang frequently.

Easily one of the best films of all time. Blues Brothers is an absolute master piece that you'll never get sick off. A gem 😀
