About Thrashed:
Check out the Jackson collections of your favorite artists in this series - Thrashed! What Jacksons are they shredding on and why?
About Jackson:
Jackson began back in the late 1970s, when heavy music experienced a flamboyant and virtuosic resurgence in popularity and a small Southern California guitar repair shop became the epicenter of a new level of shred-approved excellence. Ever since then, Jackson guitars have been universally lauded as the metal guitars; the shred machines-highly original high-performance instruments of distinctive style and formidable substance. From metal’s chart-topping peaks to its darkest recesses, for discerning guitarists all over the globe, Jackson is the only way to go.

    This guy is truly something else: perfectly mixes classic metal and rock with more modern concepts and is able to apply it to any genre he plays. He could just be jamming out a random riff and I would want to hear it in an actual song

    He has good tone but I really do not like his vibratos, does not sound like good vibratos.

  • @MiroslawBlazek-Gdansk

    @MiroslawBlazek-Gdansk

    9 ай бұрын

    @@mathias6423 I guess it's only a matter of taste, 'cause I for example think his vibratos are technically in a top league and sound like they could have been modeled after Malmsteen or other extremely advanced guitarist who triumphed in the 80s. This is simply because some people prefer slower, rhythmically synced bends more than those hasty, impulsive, kind of nervous vibratos, that are typically associated with novice players.

    @@killthekaiju9219 Artists have a lot of reach and usually end up with their own signature pickups. There's no reason Seymour Duncan couldn't make it a signature pickup. I'm sure if Jackson wanted to make that Kelly a production model SD would follow through with the pickup as well.

    @@ESPSJ my point still stands. This exact same guitar can only be made through the custom shop. You can get his China made production guitar, sure. But let’s be honest, There’s no way you could replicate this guitar through production means unless it was going to cost as much as the custom shop guitar. Talking anywhere in the range of $5k to even possibly much much more. Titanium Floyd Rose? Replicating what is essentially a one-off pickup in the entire world at the moment? Premium woods and hardware? Even the paint is a one-off custom paint that was made by hand. The production crackle paints are made at a specific China facility no matter what the price is. Because it is essentially applied not painted. Notice how all the production guitars have the exact same crackle pattern? In real life it’s actually hard to replicate a crackle unless you used a template or did it by hand to match a specific pattern. My point is? The comment said “this is my next guitar” I’m speaking on literal terms. It is impossible to get THIS unless it is through Custom Shop and dumping SERIOUS cash.

    @@roccanto86 Fun fact: I had the Loomis pro series pre-ordered in 2020. I swore when the USA dropped (out of my budget) that if a pro model was released I’d get one immediately. My prayers were answered but my impatient self back then cancelled it and got another guitar, that I then sold not even a year later. I underestimated how much COVID would screw supply chains (my job got hit badly too). I tried to remedy my need for a Kelly by pre-ordering the Ellis Kelly last year the day it was announced. Cancelled that for a Concept Series RR. No regrets with that as the RR is my favorite so it was a “fair” trade compared to the Ellis. But since I didn’t get the Loomis and sold what I bought instead of the Loomis, my heartaches.

I recently ordered a Charvel CS, a regular custom team built. A lot of the options from this guitar would not be offered normally (e.g. full titanium Floyd, Schaller Allen wrench thing to name a couple). Are those appointments such as magnetic truss rod cover and back plates and other special feature exclusive to master builds? Can ANY customer out there place such an order?

    My Caparison has 27 frets. I rarely do solo stuff, but man they sound cool when you are playing some scales past the 24th fret.

    I have no concept of extra fret luxury. How much did that caparison guitar cost? Is it 7 string?

    @@dannyhood7433 I got it used but in mint condition on Reverb, the person was having another child so he brought it down to $1,800. It's a 6 string Caparison Horus Dark Knight sponge finish. SD Black Winter in the bridge and a Bareknuckle Cobra in the neck.

    That could be the absolute sexiest Kelly I’ve ever seen. The Kelly is my favorite Jackson guitar shape and in my opinion the reverse headstock is a must on any Jackson guitar. I really wish Jackson would offer something like the old Kelly XLR of the mid 90s. I thought his other green crackle was sweet but this new one is Hot !
