Thank you so much for uploading this for all of us to watch for free, Chris Johnson. It really is a wonderful service you're providing, keeping these old movies available for all who want them. I hope you don't feel discouraged by the surprising number of people who choose to whine and act ungrateful in the comment section. They moan that classiness has vanished in this day and age, and then they give living examples of what a lack of class looks like. Oh well. I used to upload old movies onto KZread too, so I know something about the work and dedication it takes. You're doing a wonderful job, Chris, and you're bringing cheer and happiness into many lives that need it. Thank you again!💐💐💐💐💐💐

I see some in flowered tights, with stained shirts, I actually thing they'd look better in darker clothes, that fit right. But I hear what your saying, I hate tattoo's on woman, looks unclean, plus everyone's has to have it, nobody's a individual anymore, fake hair, fake, everything. I see movies, where people with their real teeth, and it looks kinda strange, because I'm getting use to seeing those perfect veneers, their having put in. Hairless, perfect teeth, fake body parts made to order, I never thought the future would be like this.

So Georgie shows up on deck with a d’Angelico archtop and actually accompanies the title song with chords in jazz voicings. Then proves he’s a song and dance man singing a duet with Mitzi with a little soft shoe added. This on top of his stammering comedic delivery. Mitzi, of course, is brilliant and sexy and cute and of course a star of many musicals including South Pacific. I liked her “Fi-Fi So-So La-La” type character at the party when she sang the song in faux française. Silly fun. THE BIRDS AND THE BEES (1956) Dir. Norman Taurog, writers: Sidney Sheldon, Preston Sturges starring: George Gobel, Mitzi Gaynor, David Niven. with Reginald Gardiner, Fred Clark, Hans Conried

This was a delightful, funny (albeit at times corny) light romantic comedy. I have a new found respect and appreciation for the acting talents in this genre of both George Gobel and Mitzi Gaynor ! Although it is also technically a musical and has some song & dance routines , they are not overly numerous and are , in fact, quite nicely choreographed. In short, 'The Birds and the Bees' is more comedy & romance than musical and has a well written stand alone plot /story line. Thank you!

Nothing on earth will duplicate the color of technicolor film. A great invention for the time. It first appeared in the Wizard of Oz. The color revolution perfected in the 50's took off big in the 60's. Then it became all about the lens and what detailed information a director wants us to see on the Big Screen. Hence the cropped uploads of films in KZread cheats us of the Big Picture. Cinemascope and color film --rolled into one movie, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and more. America lost it big time to digital film- reduced to a one man operation America will never see the likes of past movie masters of lighting and cinematography, editors, costume and set design, actors, directors and writers working under one roof again. Everyone is a documentary filmmaker armed with a cell phone.

“One on each foot?” “If you like.” “I believe that’s customary.” Funny, because in South Pacific, she sings a song about “little flat feet,” like mine, but she actually has ballet/dancer feet like my older sister.

@@hazelchief-rabbit5903 it is a streaming device that attaches to your TV and connects to your Wi-Fi. Once it is connected, you can add apps to your roku for all kinds of entertainment. Some tv's called smart tv's already have roku built in. I purchased both of mine from Amazon for about 30.00 for the basic model because I'm not a gamer. Roku has tons of apps some offer free content but some content requires a fee. Roku itself is a one and done. You don't pay for it every month. Hope this helps
