The original mineral oil pc build video was the first LTT video I ever saw , and it was from that point forward i would have gone to binge watch a vast majority of LTT's videos and build my very first PC of my own along the way. For better or for worse i learned how to build PCs from this channel. Seeing that build in pieces in this video was heartwrenching to me

There are so many video's you could make i mean with all the bits and prices you have not to mention you always have the best gear and Honestly to me your the best .. I admire you not only for the work and effort you put in but also the media group you own is awesome plus you get to do so much with PC's and stuff so cool.

At this point I reckon you should just rename the channel Linus Tech Drops

btw Linus talked a little about these conceps back at one of the Tech Expos' that he was attending... Not sure if it was CEX or another one. If I'm not mistaking the concept of it all is that inside the loop there is a special liquid engineered to be very temp. dependnt. When it comes into contact with the heat absorber on the cpu (for example) its temperature rapidly increases and causes it to evaporate (kinda like alcohol at roomtemp). The vapor is the carier of the heat and it condenses on the radiator. Then falls back through the second tube so there is an intake and outlet. The trick was to get a liquid that evaporates and then condenses in a narrow temp difference so as to no overheat the processor. On that expo video they stopped at what they called - The first ACTULLY working model of a pumpless water cooler... I belive fluid cooler is more acurate of a name.

@@xenonram Now that you say it like that hahaha, I guess so :D I haven't researched all the way through but going with the couple of things they said on that video. I can't remember if Linus didnt called it kinda like a gimick because it's basically a large capacity heatpipe system. I can see a couple of benefits though. Heatpipes are good at what they do but they are premade to fit a certain shape and are not so easy to make ourselves, even with pipe bending tools. Pumpless watercoolers might be just flexable heatpipes. You get the benefits of heatpipes plus the flexibility of soft tubing plus the size of the tubes. Not sure btw I might be just saying bulshit..

So LTT is becoming a minimalist?!

if you write in permanent marker on something like metal use a dry erase marker just scribble it out then erase and it will come off. only works on hard surfaces like metals and most plastics tho so your mileage may vary.

Would be perfect for my cheap mechanical keyboard as the ESC key keeps escaping if I knock it, so effectively it would be Linus dropping on the floor. Seems quite apt somehow.

They ran into an issue with the motherboard not detecting all the graphics cards correctly. They mentioned it on the WAN show I think, waiting on a bios update.

I would really like the commodore 64. I was cleaning at my parents and found 2 1541 disk drives. crap ton of software, and a okidata printer but no computer.I asked my mom if you got rid of the computer why did you keep everything else?

Look up the "Ultimate 64" it's a fpga C64 motherboard, incredible bit of gear. Next level exotica compared to what this channel deals with

It is possible to make a commodore 64 at home btw, it's a bit involved though. See installing CP/M, as well as homebrew 6502 Computers

@@somedude4122 that comment is insane, what has a home made 6502 computer got anything to do with a C64. The C64 is 100 times more complex than those machines. Custom hardware out of it's ass, same place as your comment came from lol

@@luelou8464 Also has a custom Atari chip though. All this things have already been rebuilt in FPGA though. Check out the "MISTer"
