It feels simultaneously not that long ago, and also forever ago, the first video I ever watched of Linus was the original Corsair SP120/AF120 fan review he did back in the NCIX Tech Tips days, and some of the things shown here are such a nostalgia trip. It's so sweet that he kept that fan mail, I wasn't expecting that at all and it's definitely put a smile on my face, I wonder how it makes the people who sent that fan mail feel to know he never threw it away.

I too am one of his earliest subs. I don't remember the exact video I watched as my first one ever; but I have seen every single video this guy has produced. All the way back to the Sunbeam Tuniq tower cpu cooler. Ah memories...I am just two month's older then him too and we have the exact same computer building experience. I will probably be a sub of his till the day I die too.

This video isn't long enough. I can't explain how hooked I get on cleaning out stuff and going through each thing (often getting very distracted from the clean-up).. Honestly I could have watched this all day

Yes

9:46 Certain rubbers react when they're exposed to heat, and go through the process known as vulcanization. It hardens the rubber and causes sticky goo to leach out. I have several items that are susceptible to vulcanization, and it's always a pain to clean.

I also sentimentally keep a piece of my original PC in my current builds. I've used the same mobo speaker since the very first PC I built in 2003. Partly, it's a practical thing, I like POST beeps even though I never actually use them to diagnose, but largely it's just because it's still the exact same one for almost twenty years.

when I see videos like this I think wow we've been though so much... Linus has been making great videos for over 10 years and I've been sitting on my butt watching them.

3:16 Yep, I can confirm that that is Linus in Korean. Or rather Lieenoseu (as close as Hangul can get to his name)

@@NakabayashiRima Yeah, I'm not very good at it yet, either. But I find it to be a fascinating language so that keeps me motivated to keep learning. And hangul is mind-blowingly simple compared to our own alphabet.

That was what drove to do my first custom water cooled computer. After couple of year, I gave it to friend in much need of top tier gaming computer.

Heck yes I remember fUNC mouse pads! I used my Surface 1030 for over 15 years, and I recently got a NEW, UNOPENED one. I live in Norway and had to buy it from an ebay seller in Australia, but it was worth it. This mousepad could last me another 15 years.

Half the time I just come for the subtitle.

He is such a dad. As soon as he is forced to spend more than a week at home he notices all the stuff that needs to get "fixed".

The Intro is much more awesome than the other one haha
