Hopefully you'll be able to generate background and characters separately using masks and keeping the seed the same for the background.

The benefit this would have for the entertainment industry is astonishing. From doing simple edits within a fraction of the time to full blown changes, or even upscaling older footage without losing detail. Of course with cutting edge tech like this I can't see OpenAI just dropping the model freely and having people create whatever right away. Now they definitely seem to intend to want to give it a commercial release but like their web generative services which are restricted I can easily see Sora being restricted against copyrighted and inappropriate content. THAT SAID I do imagine one day this will become freely available and by that time it's likely we'll have better tech to spot AI videos made by those with bad intentions. And at such a point, I LOOK FORWARD to the possibilities. Just imagine, getting Sora to read a book that might never get a movie in most cases and then having Sora generate a movie from the book itself. Or maybe you're from the 90s like me and you have Sora generate episodes with the same style as 90s TV, just for your own viewing. Likewise I can see many people being upset by this. AI has been a divisive topic on the internet with entertainment (games and movies and TV etc) Sy, so hearing news that "parts of the video was assisted by AI" might piss that person/people off to no end. Personally though, I look forward to it. This is a very powerful tool that could change the internet entirely.

At first, it will be very novel, but soon people won't be as interested. The market will become oversaturated with content, and the general public will lose interest in consuming, for example, thousands of audiovisual versions of a book, which may also be generated by AI. This is something that is well known and concerning, not only due to the loss of jobs and the replacement of creativity by machines but above all because of the damage that market saturation can cause.

@@danielpose3340 Yes, I totally agree with that assessment. Especially regarding the oversaturation. I do however think there will be a demand for human made content, i.e. how there are mass produced watches but human made watches are still something people want to buy. There IS also the possibility that professionally produced content producers realize this fact and have a ban in place on AI created work (at least fully created AI work) though I question the greedy mind.

If you can separate out the character from the background, then you could pick the background you like and the character you like and then combine them together.

I’d like to see any kind of implementation that can be run off-line and locally using Nvidia 3090 type architecture. Even if it’s not this level of quality and just animating some movement would be better than nothing.

only thing about the beginning comparison that I saw is, the shot with the woman was missing the graffiti on the third garage.

Since Sora sounds like it's going into the hands of Hollywood and not the public for maybe several years, I'm less interest in it and more supportive and invested in an AI system that is invested in you, the public

One day, it will come out. Interesting to see where it at as a novice. It's not about only you.

But the backgrounds for the four characters are not the same. You can certainly see distinct differences in the graffiti, for example. One of the keys in movie making is the ability to reshoot the scene exactly as intended, including even sich nuances as lighting and tone. Sora's not gonna take over anyone's jobs in Hollywood if it is not able to do this accurately and absolutely indistinguishably.

so far the most useful way is to prompt creative prebis....

Doesn't make any sense.. How do they have new feature announcements when they haven't even released a product yet? and very likely will not release Sora to the general public for a long time.. And if/when they do, it will be HIGHLY restrictive to the point its unusable mainly due to the risks and pressure from powers that be.

For making it safe tgey can just restrict usage of real people faces

When someone plugs a controller into the PC and starts controlling sora in real time, the entire game industry and movie industry will be completely upended. If Sora knows enough about real world physics, it's possible rt video from Sora could make a game engine obsolete.

The "rest of the scene" does absolutely not "stay the same". Look at the graffiti on the walls, the trash cans, the puddles & reflections, the buildings and cars in the background... sure it's all relatively minor differences, but the scenes are absolutely positively not identical.

Why discuss something that is not yet available for a common person?
