The Biggest Scandals Ever To Hit The Food Network

Ойын-сауық

You might not think of a cooking show as a hotbed for controversy, but there have been a lot of scandals that have hit the Food Network over the years, and they have gotten pretty ugly. Some of them seem to have come and gone, like all of the lies Robert Irvine told about his past experience, while others have made the chefs infamous, like the Paula Deen racism scandal. From Guy Fieri’s uncomfortable comments to the time a chef turned down a Make-a-Wish child, let’s take a look at a few of the biggest scandals to ever hit the Food Network.

I read an interview from Ina Garten who said she had no clue about the make-a-wish request that those things are handled by her team, she only caught wind when a big uproar was made and she tried to make it right. She can’t be blamed for something she didn’t know.

Problem is that some people don’t give room for mistakes. That’s the only reason some of these are “scandals”. Some of these people are admittedly just not the kindness of individuals. We’ve all said things in the past we’d never say today. I’m willing to bet the most offended have said and done far worse than these chefs have

Exactly!! Blaming people for things they allegedly said decades ago.... seriously? Also, people have a right to feel the way they feel. I don't see anything wrong with what they said. It's also just words. No one died because of words. I hate cancel culture. If you don't like someone, don't watch it. I watch the people I like and don't watch who I don't like. But they still have fans and have a right to have a show.

I saw that episode of Pioneer Woman and there was nothing racist about it. She was simply playing a joke on her husband and his friends because every year they look forward to having game day hot wings. So she pretended to switch it up. She still said very nice things about the Asian wing recipe and how much she loves them. If you actually watch her show you would know that it is a standing joke about how much her husband is a creature of habit and he likes to eat the same things all the time 🙄

The Ina Garten issue was completely blown out of proportion. The request was made during her book tour and the requests were declined by her PR team not Ina herself. It’s not as if she received the request on her personal email. They said Ina receives tons of requests, and with her current busy schedule, they cannot accommodate everything. After the tour, Ina agreed to cook with the child but the family already made a new wish for their child to swim with dolphins & said they didn’t want to go through another disappointment & stress the kid any further. They even apologized and said that it was not their intention to put Ina in a negative spotlight.

Regarding Paula Deen, it's my understanding that she was a bank teller who had experienced a black criminal coming into the bank on her shift and robbing her @ gunpoint, and when later relating the incident to her husband did use "that word". It is my further understanding that they were in the privacy of their own home when this was said. The lawsuit that is referenced was primarily concerning the behavior of a male family member who was the major owner/manager of the resturant where the discriminatory behavior took place, and she became caught in the crossfire.

I don't understand what's so racist about the episode of 'The Pioneer Woman'. I've watched the episode and didn't see anything racist about it. She made Asian Chicken Wings for her family as a joke, knowing that they didn't like Asian Chicken Wings. They weren't saying they didn't like them because they were Asian. They all said they didn't like them because they didn't like the flavor and didn't trust the seasonings and what have you. Just because you DON'T LIKE something, doesn't make you racist toward the cuture that provides it. I don't like truffles on my pasta. Why are all these "chefs" still working for the food network? I would've fired them. Ina has been there too many years, are we supposed to watch her until she's 90? Time to retire. Also Guy, he won a cooking show, and all he does is watch others cook, he writes a book, and gets all the money. WHY IS RACHEL BACK? I didn't miss the pasta, salad, and burgers. Besides, she has her own show. BUDDY, why? He has his show in TLC, and in 2 other channels, he has been doing the same stuff since his teens, and I bet he's only in the bakery when filming. ROBERT IRWING, back why? I don't believe that people were begging him to come back, he should stay NOT cooking for Prince Charles.

I don't know how some celebrities handle it. I think I would probably cry, spending time with a child with leukemia. That's especially true since my nephew died on the day he turned one and a half from a genetic disease that compromised his immune system. His short life was spent with many trips to the hospital, being poked by needles and handled by strangers. It broke my heart. I'm sure some celebrities have had similar experiences in their own family because they're real people, too

The Ina Garten one sounds like a case of entitled parent(s). Maybe she had personal things to attend to or a packed schedule that couldn't be tweaked then she simply forgot about the request because, I don't know, she's a very busy woman with lots of things on her mind? I'm sorry that the child is sick and dying, but, geez, not because someone is on the brink of dying does it mean their EVERY wish has to be granted.

So this is how this clip goes she makes Asian Wings the friends and family were expecting buffalo wings when she pulls out the wings are all like what the hell are these she comes and goes I'm just playing guys I wouldn't do that to you and pulls out buffalo wings at what point is race in this??? And if you hear the one guy go oh I don't trust them he's talking about the fucking Wings not Asian people Jesus Christ stop being so fucking sensitive lol btw when I think wings I think black folks, not Cowboy white people let's see that just comes from where you were raised and what part of the the states
