My own personal theory for the contents of the box is it being a metaphor for all of Rose’s secrets finally being revealed, hence the box finally being opened while throughout the entire series it being closed as her secrets and lies hadn’t been discovered yet

The classic cheesy “it was friendship all along” plot line😂 completely unrelated but I honestly believe that’s what the one piece is and I’m not even a fan of the show. I do get a kick out of that line though.

Technically its widely accepted that what was in the box was Charlie from the Silver Eyes book series, it's a whole mess of tangles that is the fnaf lore. But basically in the story the main character Charlie opens a box that looks similar to the chest in fnaf and what's inside is her own body

​​@@pyro1830 huh? I swear it was one of the MOST realistic portrayals aside from the final episode... His lashing out, his feeling of "constantly dying" from the smallest of stressors. Textbook examples of PTSD and trauma rearing it's ugly head, especially with ADHD/Autism/Bipolar It was nearly scary how much I related to Steven, I broke down crying after the hospital episode.

*Personally? I think of it as a metaphorical box. Here me out* *it stayed closed a hell of a lot of the time we’ve seen it. However, when we see it after Pink/Rose’s secret is known, then we see the box open. The box was basically the idea of keeping a secret “under lock and key”*

The only person who could solve this was matpat, Master of all theories. But when the world needed him most, he vanished.

It wasn't, the jacket's sleeve can be seen when Steven enters Greg's garage in "Laser Light Cannon"

I reckon the box had memorabilia from when Rose was with Greg like the shirt she got while at Greg's gig, wanting to try one last human thing before she went, a treasure hunt.

From what we know, Greg went on at least 1 tour and had multiple, some unsuccessful, gigs meaning he had more merch equaling more shirts. And then the rest are like old beaten containers from food stands or something like that.

I like to headcanon that it was something important to rose, but not important to the story. Like a swimsuit or some collection of regular rocks that reminded her of her friends or something

As a massive fan of Steven universe I think future was fine but it just couldn’t live up the masterpiece that was Steven universe.

It’s probably symbolism for stevens self discovery and how all of pink and roses secrets and mistakes or problems were unveiled.

Inside the box could be a bunch of coins and that’s how they drastically upgraded their house by selling the coins for a lot of money

I honestly can't help but be a bit disappointed that we the audience never learn what was in the chest.

Hmm, the chest looks fairly old, prolly from when Rose & the gems first come to what will be Beach City with Dewey’s ancestor, roughly 1600-1700s. So the chest IS old but not old OLD like the gems so it might not b a lot of super old secret stuff she put it in the chest. It’s not like she had the time to keep her diamond stuff while she was Rose when the diamonds made their final attack 😅 But also, it could contain a journal amongst the items like Dewey’s ancestor’s book. She TALKED to him while he was making maps of the gem places, she knows the concept of journaling prolly cuz of him. She would’ve had to put down her private, PRIVATE thoughts in a book in a WHOLE DIMENSION that only she can have total privacy over.

Lion was an ordinary lion that died and she revived using her tears. That's why Lars, another revived organic, has the same portal hair and pink color scheme

Sorry to tell you this but you missed an episode, so he gets a random key and starts trying to see what it opens he goes to his room and says “I want somthing that this key open’s!” And he it gives him a lock that just poofs into clouds once he puts the key into it then he goes into his lion and it opens but there is nothing inside
