the BIGGEST mistakes in music history - pt 2
Музыка
Everyone experiences the pain of missed chances. But few can say they passed on opportunities, which would’ve led to phenomenal success and potential riches. This is especially true for those working in the cut-throat world of showbiz and particularly music.
Some of the world’s greatest superstars such as Beyonce, Britney and Taylor were all dropped or rejected by record companies as they struggled to break into the industry, in what must surely be some of the biggest mistakes ever made in music.
So what happened between Destiny’s Child and their first record label, to make them want to drop the young group? Why did Britney fail an audition with Sony executives in '97? And why did RCA records have the option to sign a fourteen year old Taylor Swift to a record deal but didn’t take it ? This mini-documentary explores these questions and more.

I'm 40 years old and I've been a Britney fan since the beginning. I honestly believe that she never had anything that made her stand out from the average. We know her primarily as a "singer", however there isn't much she can do without post-producing her voice in the studio. The times that she sang live are the exceptions. I'm not saying she has a bad voice, but she just doesn't stand out from the average, and in the '90s almost any teenager with her presence and the Max Martin team behind could achieve what she did. She was just in the right place and time.
