​@@NandiCollectorI agree, no matter how important family is this is still his job, he can take way more days off with youtube than if he had a normal job, an update should be mandatory, but we don't know what's happening so we can't assume it's only family, though it wouldn't be the first time he took a while off, with that all being said he did mention alcoholism and illnesses in the past so that could be it, no matter what I really miss him, I really expected him to come back for April fools, and he's not even active on twitter which is strange.

A year with no April fools video from Phly is like a year without Christmas, praying for an upload today

i love him, but it annoys me the lack of communication, last year he dissapeared for like 5 month , not a single tweet or something saying i am good just taking a break...., after that he came back with weekly videos for a few months until this, now the same dissapears, and post randon instagram stories . I mean its ok do you life but give some little comunication to the viewers that gave you everything... a little respect for us.

I don't think it's wrong to feel neglected; Phly has been lax with communication (to be fair he's always been kinda bad about it and has contradicted even stuff he says in his videos) and I worry he maybe takes his fanbase for granted sometimes. We don't need to know what he's doing every day, but large gaps between videos with no explanation is a pretty bad trend for someone who used to do it "daily". I just worry that feeling can dovetail into a sense of entitlement, and I really want us as a community to rise above that. There is more to life than a single KZread channel.

It's sad to see a legend like you slowly fading away, thank you for everything PhlyDaily.

Armored trains are one my favorite things from early modern warfare. I know they are borderline useless, especially now, but the rule of cool come into play.

It's my favorite type of support cannon. There was a game called Steel Panthers, possibly Steel Panzers, and I did some digging around in the scenarios. You could change the order of the one side or both. They had Battleship artillery support. So I put an railroad gun back in the corner. And left the other side alone. Then started the scenario. The first time I used the gun it created a giant dust cloud ☁️ where it was, I started laughing! But I didn't see what happened where it hit...! So the next time I fired it I watched where I was aiming. The shell landed and I saw a new, but smaller cloud ☁️ of dust! When the dust cleared I saw a huge crater! So I looked at the area where I shot before and found that crater too, it was in a rockey 🪨 area. It blended in the background color! Then I read the rules for changing stuff and I found out that I could change the weapons on the units. I put a 6 inch howitzer on a Abrams tank. Stabilized and laser ranging of course I had to put it on an M1 Abrams! It was fun but missing something..., so I added a Battleship gun to the Abrams! It actually let me do it so I tried it out! And it actually worked, in game at least, would never work in real life. But I had a blast with the game 🎮 for a little while. You only had HE but when you kilt' everything you hit I didn't worry about it anymore...!

Poor Phly, he can't even fake enjoying WT anymore.

Facts. He also has to get back to actual battles instead of mostly just testing custom vehicles. I'd like to see that more.

The Karl Gerat self propeled siege mortar could be added in war thunder: it moved on his own wheels, and had a 600mm mortar. Would be a cool event vehicle.

I dont think something that large would ever be added, but the SU-14 would definitely be a cool event vehicle. Its basically a SPG built on the hull of a T-35

Reading this made me think I posted it cause I'm the same way. Found wt because of phly, have more fun and love hearing his opinions, and love watching how he played, ever since I haven't seen his vids I've gotten significantly worst in wt and I hate it... it's just a miserable game now

Even the legend fades away slowly,but his fame in war thunder will be lasted till the end and current fame from the beginning, hope you(Steve) and your family(Laura,Banks) are doing well 😊.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t coming back. The burnout has been in effect for a year now. His upload schedule shows it too. He’s got a family now, he needs to see and care for. If you look his golden age was about 3-4 years ago and with playing the same game for 13 years it’s probably over. We just got to let him go now and migrate to new War Thunder Channels. Every video is more and more depressing, I’m sure he could bring his channel back if he did migrate to other games at this point. Thanks for everything Phly ❤

I hope they could implement the shell tracking like in naval battles. So you could see how big the shell is and how close/far off target you are

Technically, this was a concept too. The P.2000 Monster. A Gustav railgun fitted onto a mammoth of a tread system to support it, allowing it to not be hindered solely by rail travel. never got beyond blueprints, of course

Not Insulting. He's just taking in Real Life, then spending hours getting footage, and then getting it edited, then fixing any mistakes. It takes time from his family. I'd be honest, I'd rather think he got an official full-time job, cause YT won't cut it, and is now doing this when he gets a chance. I mean, it's what I'd do as a father.

Pretty low effort video.. on the one hand happy that you get to spend time with your family man. On the other, who else gets to take WEEKS off work at a time and still be employed. You’ve been phlyoccasional for like two years now

They should make it so that after firing a certain amount of shots you need to repair or sort of reload the barrel like the historical one

There was a design on the Gustav cannon that had engines to take away the need for railways
