    I love the Crab. You can couple the tender closer than that. It runs fine on tight curves, and looks so much better.

    It was better than when IC82 did a 9F video involving the evening star but he called it a 9f strength test, it was good to watch but your video that included 9F's I thought was better, I am not saying you are better than IC 82 but both your's and his video's are the same quality in my mind.

    To quote Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical STARLIGHT EXPRESS . . . Freight Is Great!! If those vent vans have the doors open you could put a drunk hobo figure playing his guitar inside, hitching a lift to the promised land like in American boxcars back in the day . . . the double headed 9Fs hauling food I liked as a kid was cool too. Good to see the Battle of Britain hauling freight and the Zoflora van out for a spin. I do love a Q1 too. Interesting loco.

    Thompson's O1s were rebuilt from Robinson's O4s (some of the O4s entered service with British Railways via the GWR who picked up some cheap motive power from the War Department after WWI) and there are 3 different Britsh Railways Standard Class 4s, a 4-6-0, a 2-6-0 and a 2-6-4T. It's enough to give you a headache, let alone a touch of confusion.

    Sam: Loved the freight! I'd love to see a Victorian\Branchline Running Session. You could break out the older 4-4-0s and also older tank engines like that L&Y tank or a Terrier. I think it would be nice to see them pull a mixture of some of those older coaches you have that have the Celestory roofs, or the rake of four wheelers you've been working on again. Might be interesting to break out the single wheelers too. And any opportunity you can get to show off the milk vans and cattle wagons is great, I love those cars. :).

    I have a suggestion, a banking theme, we've seen some double headers, but we haven't had a lot of pushing. Also, freight trains are my favorite so I liked this video a lot, and I think empty coach movements count as freight. One last thing, I like your LNER O6 model (no, I didn't spell that wrong).

  • @SamsTrains

    @SamsTrains

    6 жыл бұрын

    Hi mate, that's a very nice idea! I normally avoid pushing/banking because it usually causes lots of de-railments, but it would be good if I could get it right! :D Thanks so much for the kind words, Sam :)

    That would work with American diesel locos - the long freight trains they have there employ locos at the front but also in the middle as "helpers" and at the rear on mountainous stretches.

    You have 3 types of a standard class 4, the 2-6-4 tank, the 4-6-0 variant, and also a 2-6-0 There is one notical different between the Ivatt one and the Riddles one, the running board one the Riddles one is different

    Hey sam how did you get your turn table to allow dcc I mean since it spins wouldn't it just eventually spin so much the wires got so twisted and break? I'm wondering because I'm setting up a dcc layout and also is the track your using cheap and if not could you point me in the direction of some cheap track because bachmann ez track isn't the best thing to work with when building a actual scene Also could you point me towards a nice decently strong shunter in the 100 dollar range

  • @SamsTrains

    Hi mate! The turntables will work with locos on either DC or DCC! It doesn't use wires though - it has little contacts that are able to slide, a bit like the pick-ups on locomotive wheels! Peco or Hornby set track is all great for this kind of stuff! :D Thanks for watching, Sam :)

    Sam, I need your help, recomend to me your top 3 freight or mixed traffic locos. A few specifications: #1 No southern locos because I don't like thier smoke deflectors. #2 None of them can be the 9f, robinson 04, dean goods, j15, C-class, B1, 3f, or any diesel loco. #3 no 0-6-0s Thank you very much in advance.

    So there will be something similar with diesels? I do believe some of your's have more/most muscle in them. I don't know how many electric locos u have (I only have 4, so they uncommon in my fleet too) but I don't think I saw any running at u.

    Love me some good ol' freight trains! So, I'm looking to get a Hornby A4, but they're so expensive! Even on eBay, can't find one less than $150, and as I've said before I live in the US so it's kinda hard to get one for a good price! I've found one for $120, but the postage price from the UK is high! Do you have a solution? :) Thanks mate, Tyson'sTrains (my cousin would hate you for killing birds by the way! :D)
