Really enjoyed this video! Thanks! Even the first visit to the Big Bench was wonderful - it’s always exciting to be out in wild nature, and that sunrise peeking through under the dark, looming clouds was quite dramatic. I didn’t know that there were a bunch of these big benches before seeing your video! Cool to know! The footage from your second trip truly showcased the beauty of the area! Loved seeing the animals, too. What is the bench made of? Is it painted wood, or plastic, or …? Just curious, and hoping it’s made of something durable in the elements so it can be enjoyed for many years! Thanks also for the car rental info that you gave to another person-very helpful! Excited to hear that work is beginning on your house there! Happy for you!!!!!

You’re quite welcome! Thank you for the feedback again Deb. We always look forward to hearing from you. The bench is actually made up of a durable plastic from what we can tell. I had withstood all weather! The views are amazing and it is a wonderful place to spend the morning or a nice afternoon. We hope to make it for sunset one day.

What a kind thing to say! I always enjoy both of your thoughtful and appreciative ‘takes’ on your Italian experiences and trips. I’m glad to be able to contribute positively to your dialogues with your viewers. 😉

I appreciate all the advice you provide to your viewers every time you go to Italy. Do you have any recommendations regarding car rentals in Italy since you seem to rent cars on all your trips. In my experience, I find renting cars quite expensive especially automatic cars.

Thank you for watching Michelle. Renting cars of any kind in Italy can be pricey. Always good to plan ahead and keep in mind that even SUVs are smaller, so always rent bigger. You also have to be aware of the tire requirements for certain places during the colder months. Most rentals come with all season tires but it’s a good idea to ask the rental agent. The larger city airports, Rome or Milan, will probably offer the widest choices but cost a little more at the airport. It’s so much more convenient though. We always budget car rental when we travel. Because renting a car can be a pricey challenge. Some ex-pat friends we made in Italy recommend Renault. They offer long term vehicle rentals direct from the manufacture. We have gone that route yet, but have to at some point. Always plan ahead. www.renault-eurodrive.com/en/the-eurodrive-formula
