I am 31 and have been living off of my boyfriend for about 6 years. I recently started reading the Bible and am trying to get close to God. I have an interview Wednesday at amazon. I feel a pull to work and not be lazy. I trust in God that I have a meaning and purpose and he will use me wherever I go.

Just reminding, if you're living with your boyfriend as if you're married but you are not married, that's fornication, and it is a sin that will keep you out of God's Kingdom, so you need to repent if that's the case.

David Pawson can convince me of anything scarily enough. I have been just about set that I want to become a lawyer for a good while now, but mr. Pawson has just about convinced me to be a carpenter. And believe me, that is the one job I have been completely sure I will never go into. The one work I would never do, and mr. Pawson just needed to speak a few words to convince me to consider it strongly. Wow.

We need millions of brother Davids going about teaching the Bible. He is the best teacher I ever heard. It's funny. I'm a Christian and from southeast Alabama in the USA and when God speaks to me he has an English accent like brother Davids. Maybe it's my ancestors who are from England and such. Idk. Can't stop listening to the videos.

SteamControlValve I think it's because David balances well emotion and factual, this is often the case with English/British teachers/lecturers, I find. Americans, on the other hand, are too emotional, or too preachy and sound angry, even when they are not and what they are talking about isn't something to be angry about.

Hi my friend. Would you consider yourself to be a good person? Try the test: How many lies have you told, and what do you call someone who lies? Have you ever stolen something (even when you were small. Even from your parents. Even a sweet), and what do you call someone who steals? Have you ever taken God’s name in vain (very serious; in Old Testament times, the Jews wouldn’t even say the name of God for fear of blasphemy) - even ‘OMG’? Jesus said whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery in his heart; have you ever looked with lust? One more: Ever disrespected your parents? Well I’m not judging you - but if you’ve done these things then you’re a liar, thief, blasphemer, adulterer-at-heart and rebel, so you're not good enough to go to heaven; that’s how seriously God takes sin. He is Holy (perfectly good/righteous and separate from sin) which means that He is perfect in justice; that means that just like a just judge sentences criminals to pay for the wrong they caused, so does God sentence the payment of all sins. If a judge was in front of a guilty criminal and just said "I forgive you. Your crimes don't need to be paid for" that judge would be considered unjust. Justice means all wrong is punished - and if God were to judge you by the moral law (we’ve already looked at 5 commandments) would you be innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? The answer is hell - the wrath of God upon you for your sin. Is that concerning? But fortunately, God’s will is not that you perish. He wants all men everywhere to be saved. But all sin must be paid for, because he us just. So do you know what He did for us guilty sinners? In self-giving mercy, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to take the punishment for our sins (and here is why - - ->). He lived the perfect life that we should have lived - tempted at all points and yet He NEVER sinned. Through His life, being in very nature God, He revealed God to men; but we in our hatred condemned Him to death. On that cross as Jesus suffered, He took on the sin of the world and was judged in our place; receiving God’s wrath. You and I broke God’s law, but Jesus paid the fine. God can justly forgive us. On that cross He died, then He was buried, but 3 days later He was raised from the dead - conquering death and Hell and ushering in The Kingdom of God. He then ascended to the right hand of God the Father (where He came from) now Lord of the living and the dead. God has fixed a date when He will judge the world in righteousness. What you need to do is repent (In humility, acknowledge your sin before God and turn to a relationship with Him) and trust ALONE in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross; and God will grant you the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then be baptised. Jesus' perfect righteousness will be accredited to you and you can stand in a relationship with the God of the Universe, a Father. If you repent and believe the gospel. ROMANS 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved

Hadn't thought about Jesus coming back for 1000 years - I'm guessing he got that from Revelation? I'll have to go back and check that out. A disadvantage of Mr Pawson's sermons is that he doesn't always tell us where he's getting his information. On the other hand, that's probably a good thing since it forces you to search the Scriptures yourself to see if it's true, rather than being spoon-fed, which probably leads to much more misleading!

@@chrisumlas1119 No.... You can't enter the holy of holies... The Kadosh Kadoshim. We have access to the Most Set Apart Place, we don't enter it as Paul Wilbur inaccurately tells us. In order for you to understand this, you need to study the Temple (Mishkhan) service. Each year on Yom ha Kippurim, (the day of coverings) once ram would be chosen for YHWH and one for 'Azazel. The sacrifices that took place covered the unintentional transgressions of Yisra'el, they were basically announced "firgiven" for their past transgressing that defiled the Most Set Apart Place. The Set Apart Place has to be cleansed. The sins of Yisra'el were out on the head of the ram for 'Azazel, and the ram was taken into the wildness where it was set free. This is all a picture of Yahuwshua. Yahuwshua is now the Kohen ha Gadol after the eternal Order of malki Tzedekh. Yahuwshua serves in the Heavenly Most Set Apart Place . You and I can never go before the mercy seat of YHWH the Most High. Only YaHuWSHuA can. We have access to YHWH the Father through Yahuwshua His son. And also, if you aren't keeping faith obedience (hearing and doing the commandments through faith in YaHuWSHuA) you certainly cannot even approach the Kohen ha Gadol YaHuWSHuA... because he only died for those who repent of transgressing his Father's commands who turn back to obeying the commands.

I have enjoyed listening to him, but he is wrong that a man needs a girl, something to go for, that is destructive to a person. A man goes beyond that, working for production, enjoyment, and the benefit of others. God first than work. After that a man has a choice.

YHWH brought the Shabbat in, in the first seven days... Sorry! YHWH rested from all that YHWH had created and made and that was the presedent for 'Adam.... Man. YHWH tells us in B'reshith (genesis) that Abram followed all YHWH's mitzvot, chukim and Torot, and that YHWH knew that Abram would teach his children and children's children. It was verbal. YHWH in the garden, that is: preincarnate Yahuwshua, spoke with 'Adam in the cool of the evening all the words of the covenant that 'Adam was to abide by. Sorry, but David is absolutely erronous here. Mosheh by the instructions of YHWH, wrote down the Mitzvor, chukim and Torot with Yisra'el by establishing it as a record of two witnesses... The two tablets of stone. All things come from YHWH the Father, through His son, Yahuwshua, and without Yahuwshua, nothing came into being that came into being. No one has ever seen YHWH, only YaHuWSHuA had declared Him; for YHWH is Ru'ach, YHWH is light. YHWH resides in unapproachable light. Surrounded by thick darkness and cloud. The only brought forth son who is in the bosom of the Father, he is the only one who had declared the Father. He is the one that gave the Sabbath to 'Adam to keep so that 'Adam could rest from his labour that he had made the six days. Yahuwshua made the Shabbat for 'Adam (man)... He didn't make 'Adam (man) for the Sabbath. That is why Yahuwshua is Master of the "REST". For Yahuwshua is the living fourth commandment in that we are to come to him and take upon ourselves his yoke, for he assures us that his yoke is easy and his burden is light and that by entering into his rest, we have rest for our souls (beings).

I don't mind work at all, but it doesn't seem like gods will that my boss and shareholders make 350% more than I do even tho me and my coworkers create and move the services and products while these shareholders sit on their yatchs never working a day in their life.... I don't mind working at all, any job will do so long as I'm being compensated fairly for my labor, getting equal portions of the profits and returns as everyone else who works in the company. Also I would like my labor to be meaningful and adequately serving my fellow man and community... The current model of work is exploitative and amounts to slavery, theft, and oppression.... Again not very christian, not gods will or intention for us, the lectures should be saved for the oligarchy, us ordinary folks are just doing the best we can in an oppressive system, it would be nice for the church to have our back rather than perpetuating this oppressive zeitgeist, there's a special place in hell for false preachers

I agree with his teachings in principle, but I agree with you about work in our modern times. Workers are abused and a hard days work is never enough. All workers, teachers, nurses etc I know are overworked and understaffed not to mention imorally teaching children sex education or doctors providing 'experimental treatments'. Also the fact that our governments are corrupt and tax money goes to war, big pharma etc to enrich evil whilst they print money and inflate our savings/pensions away. Not to mention the youth now have no chance of affording property or building a family in regular jobs. I feel we are at the absolute end of the age and these teachings need somewhat adapting as we need to work and provide but try and start christian businesses they can be structured in a Christian way that will give everyone value and fairness. I go to work and work hard but rather than be appreciated you get abused and take on the slack for the lazy and also our earnings are inflated away which is extremely demotivating to work more and more for a corrupt system.

Jesus, was Joseph the carpenter's son. No where in the bible says that Jesus was a carpenter (even from 12 yrs to 30 yrs = 18 years). So David Pawson is just speaking conjecture when he says Jesus was a carpenter. Granted though , one could assume that Jesus helped Joseph in his daily carpentry. I understand that David Pawson died in May? 2020. It's not my place to say or think-or surmise whether he's gone/ going to Heaven or Hell but I know that if by gaining knowledge about the bible, of which David was extremely immersed in - that includes going to areas of the "holy land" to gain further insight/ proving for himself that this is real, then where is faith when you leave 'no stone upturned' in proving it's real. Anyone who sets out along a path of this kind negates any possibility a having things revealed to them by God. Knowledge is not faith. If you have faith - faith to believe, as a grain of mustard seed ( a tiny tiny tiny seed) - then God and only God can reveal it to you. Sure, by all means read , study, meditate etc but if you think that by all your knowledge pursuing = faith , then you're on the wrong track. Knowledge and supposedly revealing proofs by yourself, is like ' seeing is believing' . Jesus said "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed".

Good sermon but the preacher is wrong about the Sabbath. God rested the seventh day as an example for all mankind. Adam and Eve would have kept the Sabbath. It isn’t commanded in Genesis but it’s implied. God gave them an example of rest to follow. God doesn’t need rest but he I new people would. It’s also not just rest from work but a special time to remember and contemplate what God has done. Resting from our works on the sabbath is an acknowledgment that our works cannot save us.
