Great video, so absorbing, i really think i can feel some of what you experienced. So holistic and vivid. Thank you. I'm considering whether to tackle Te Araroa, Overland Trek or Bibbulmun and so far Bibbs is in the lead. Looking forward to the rest of your videos.

It's so true. People are constantly surprised when they discover that the social element of some long distance hikes like the Bib, The Overland or the Larapinta is a huge and rewarding part of the journey.

I am totally absorbed in watching your excellent video. Am planning to attempt end to end North to South in September- October this year. May I ask if you thought it was essential to carry a tent? You said the huts were a bit dark and you preferred a tent but there always seemed to be plenty of room to sleep inside if you wanted to. I'd like to reduce my pack weight if possible. Also, were you carrying a solar panel to charge a phone ?? I think the photos of flora and fauna were brilliant. Well done.

hi, this video has been a wonderful discovery, really enjoyed the content very much. silly question - I'm curious about the stationery camera shots from when you started going solo. did you get help from fellow hikers or did you run back and forth setting up the camera and doing the walk-shot? it just feels so tiresome doing that in the middle of a trek. cheers!

  • @GreatWalksoftheWorld

Caroline had to do most of those shots herself by walking away and coming back to get the camera, meaning she had to cover a lot more distance in a day. It's a lot of work. There were only a few rare shots that someone assisted with.
