This tool would be awesome for motorcycle shops . I regret getting my huge $2000.00 media blaster now. For a bike shop it would do quick work on tanks ,fenders & bags .

So im 65 and i knew better as ive painted many cars and trucks but it has been years,,,i attempted to sand down my silverado so i could apply some olive drab paint to and camo paint,,,all went well except for front drivers panel fender which i used a 7 inch sander with 220 but had it turned all the way on high,,it tookj off paint but not evenly..when i applied primer earlier it shows all the high and low spots,,it looks awful,,reast of truck is perfect and ready for paint,,,WHAT is easist best way to strip down to bare metal,,i have a red harbor freight sandblaster but have never used it,,i used aircraft remover 30 years ago and it was awful mess...please advise asap

A dust-collection attachment would be nice to avoid throwing (lead-base?) paint dust around.

Are you using this to strip the paint in an old house? I don't think cars have used lead based paint since the 1920's.

Please come to Australia and sell us convicts some of these handy tools!! Waiting....

Wanted to know how this would work on a fiberglass boat. and what sanding wheels you would use. Please explain in detail to me

Would not recommend for fiberglass. You could try one of the less abrasive wheels, which should be available this week at Eastwood.com. But test an area that isn't visible before trying to do anything to the car. This tool could easily remove the fiberglass. Always wear proper safety protection.

Is the treated bare metal surface scuffed thoroughly so that a bare to metal primer can adhere strongly? The treated surface appears to be rather polished to me. That is the exact opposite of desired (and to what sand blasting leaves behind).

Yes, the surface is scuffed for primer. There are many different drums and sanding bands available here: search.eastwood.com/search?ts=custom&w=contour%20sct

That wire drum would be handy stripping a truck tailgate with all the uneven surfaces..
