53 years old. Just did my very first yoga session here. Lots of pain. My teenage daughter and wife took great delight in my groans and moans. I feel very good, and I like the way you have described everything. I have committed to doing yoga every morning this week as a way of becoming more healthy.

I've got 20 years on you and just getting back into yoga. It will keep you young - keep up the work it will start to show in as little as 1 month plus you'll feel better almost immediately.
My dad told me last night that he has cancer in all of his lymphnodes. He told me that all he can do to beat it is; stay strong. So my word today was strength. When we circled back to the word and I realized how strong I need to be, I cried in happiness. I can do it. Thanks for your videos Adriene!

This is the first time I have ever tried yoga. My wife just had surgery. She's in bed recovering. I'm in the living room. Bored out of my mind. So I'm giving it a go. Thank you for putting out this video. It's actually harder than I thought

That’s the first time I’ve mediated/tried yoga since a major life event and I fucking cried when I reached the end. I haven’t felt so good about taking care of myself in so long and I’m just so glad I found this video

I have a very physically demanding job and two little ones at home. I started doing yoga with your videos almost 6 months ago because I just felt physically beaten down. Your quick morning and evening videos have helped me feel so much better! The videos for manual labor, neck and shoulders, and hand/wrist care are also awesome! Thank you for everything! I'm looking forward to doing this video tomorrow morning before work!

I have a job in a factory which is so much easier since I started doing yoga. Lifting, bending and standing for hours us just so much easier now. I love my job as I like being physically active, but my aches and pains after a long day were sometimes really terrible. Not anymore!

Try eating healthier, lifting weights and improving cardio as well. I have a physically demanding job too, but even if I do a twelve hour day I still go to the gym afterwards.

@@cernunnos3699 Cutting out refined sugar, vegetable oils and grains (the devil's triad lol) really helped me. My joint pain in particular has subsided a lot and I've only been doing it two weeks. Yoga is wonderful for ridding the body of negative energy I believe

9.9.22: Proud. I'm allowed to feel proud of what I've achieved in my life so far. It doesn't matter what others have done, I'm allowed to feel proud about every minor achievement without comparing myself to the rest.

Oh my I agree!!! It's too much work to worry about everybody else. I think that I am going to try to remember my phrase and it will help maybe both of us today, "Live well where you are" Look for the positive everywhere. starve out negative. Talk to God a bit. I really need that myself. Good work. Keep going. one step at a time.
My word was "safe," meaning I wouldn't do anything that hurts. I substituted crosslegged for kneeling, tried extended child's pose but kept both feet on the ground for downward dog. It worked well--I feel energized and my knees feel okay. Thank you, Adriene & new yoga friends.

I’ve been in a funk for a while now and doing any amount of yoga in the morning has felt daunting. But today, I was able to go on a walk and then find a quick and easy video to refresh me for the day. Thank you for all that you do to make us feel better, stronger, and more at peace!!

As a nurse on stress leave, I want to say how much I truly appreciate your practice. Sitting down with you and Benji is always such a pleasure. It allows me to calm and connect, leaving my troubles behind. Thank you so much.
Exhale day 15 - isn't it crazy how through consistent yoga practice I feel better? I feel better about my body, I feel like I can take up space and speak also? For a 10 minute practice I felt this on my arms, but I really enjoyed it! Thanks!
I feel amazing after this. I woke up early this morning (thank you doggie), as I drank my coffee I browsed my subscriptions and there you were. It’s been over 2 years since I’ve practiced any form of yoga and this sweet 10 minute video was exactly what this day called for. My word was “calm”. I know today is going to be a lot at work but I want to stay *calm* and remember that I am paid for 7.5 hours of work and that I work my absolute hardest in those hours but that it is impossible and *not expected* that I complete everything. I am only human.

I have had to BEGIN again as I have only just got out of bed after surgery last week. I had to have a talk with myself and decided against challenging myself to another year without missing a day, as it's more likely to make yoga a stressful thing if I'm not up to doing it every day, and I never want yoga to turn into something stressful. So I will be here, as and when I am able 🥰 Today I was able, albeit very wobbly but as you say, appreciative of the shorter length 🙏💝

It's so dull, raining and unpleasant here in UK, this morning...not in the mood as well but I dragged myself up to come on and my oh my! it's been worth it, a perfect lovely uplifting start to this Friday, I felt a shift in my mood, from dull to bright, felt well stretched and energised, a nice kick start , off to a nice walk even while it's raining.. Patience is my word of the day. More patience with myself than others - I tend to be more expecting of my own progress. Day 381 of the current run.
Have to admit that I struggle with downward dog, I have RSI pain in my wrists and mega tight leg muscles! And the 3 legged downward dog gave me huge thigh cramps, I had to take a break 😅 just putting this out there to validate anyone else who found this difficult. Good on us for keeping at it though, I know it will get easier as my body gets stronger ❤
Adriene really reminds me of a milk chocolate with her outfit and vibes in this one- white, peaceful, gentle and sweet! Also, there she is, doing what I should do, and there's darling Benji, doing what I, sadly, tend to do more every morning 🤭 Thank you so much Adriene for being a part of my life. You have become my friend and rock, been with me through some of my best and worst moments. When I come to you, it helps me come back to myself. Thank you 🙏❤️

Thank you, Adrien! Your teaching always had a great impact on me since my teenage years (I'm 21 now) in terms of kindness to myself and others, and even language learning. Every morning I roll out my mat because I know I will find something kind and gentle in your words that will help me to get through the day and be kind to others. This is so comforting that I could just choose a few poses and go with my own flow some days for just 10 minutes… and feel better! Feel like I have myself a gift and take that feeling along my way.
This practice today was perfect. I am not able to get on the floor right now. In the middle of some medical treatment. But I was able to do some of the moves in my chair. Thank you so much Adriene

It's been a what seems a lifetime since I've done YWA but when I saw this month's theme, I had to get back to it. I lost my dog unexpectedly last Oct and it just devastated me to the core, he was my physical and emotional support for years, especially when I was getting cancer treatments. EXHALE 🧘♀ | March 25, 2024 | It's been a minute since we had the pleasure of waking up the body with this quickie! I didn't do it this morning however, but I did need a wake-up after a full day of working on my laptop - so this was the perfect end to my workday, stretching out the body and re-connecting with my breath! 🙏

@@zabethbolte thanks guys, I quit smoking during the days but when I go out to drink I cant resist it 😅 still went down from 20 cigarettes a day to 3 a week. Getting there 💪
Just completed this one over on FWFG. It was quite lovely and a nice to energize in a short amount of time. Energize day 6. 610 days in a row.
Anxiety always tries to get me in the mornings. Thank you for bringing me back into my body and helping me find my calm. A short gentle practice like this can be so potent. xo

Today, my word is positive. Because lately, I've been around nothing but negativity and toxic energies. I hate that my energies sometimes absorb that, and then i become how those people are until i get a chance to cut those negative chords. Positivity is a great word. Ive also been struggling with depression as well and i go see my therapist every two weeks. She noticed that im doing so much better. I do yoga all day ( morning, afternoon and before bedtime. ) This really helps my depression and to keep love and light in and out.

I have just arrived at my 1,000th Yoga with Adriene class! And I am just now beginning to grasp what she means by "move with the breath." I’ve been a fan of Yoga with Adriene for years now. I first discovered her after trying her very first 30 day yoga challenge. Adriene taught me literally everything I know about yoga and has changed my life all without ever meeting her! Yoga has been a part of my life ever since getting the basics down from Adriene. She gave me a great foundation to make my yoga practice my own while following proper technique and remembering to “find what feels good” as she always says. The way she verbally teaches yoga through a screen is a true talent. I absolutely adore you Adriene!! ❤️

I am here starting the first day of BEGIN. As a full time student who has struggled to exercise during college, the intention of this month couldn’t be better. Today I struggled a bit with the positions but I know that my body will become stronger as my practice becomes consistent. Thank you Adriene for your caring practices and I look forward to completing this month’s calendar. Saludos desde la Ciudad de México! 💚✨

I'm going to do it! I will stick to 1 month of YWA and I will love myself. Ever since the break up I've been skipping days, pausing my yoga journey because of depression. Now. I'm ready to challenge my mind, body and soul. I will.

Coming back to the mat after a few weeks' break! First I was on holiday and then I had covid. Getting back to it was more of a mental than physical challenge. Like for many others, this theme of "beginning" feels very suitable :)

Hey Adriene. I was discussing with my yoga teacher why I don't do my 10 minutes of yoga in the morning and that motivated me to start! I have been doing your morning yoga (either 10 minute or 11 minute) for two weeks now! I hope I have formed a habit. Thank you!

I got diagnosed with mono about a month ago and so I was too sick of fatigued to do yoga or work out at all for about 45 days. Today was my first day back on the mat 😄 great way to start the day!

I am doing another 30-yoga challenge cause I never did YogaCamp from 2016 and remembered why I have never done this one because in that year I became very sick. So I just did day 11 “I release” and will do my other excercises now so maybe I can do this with everyone in 80 minutes later.
My practice ends my day today. Heading to bed feeling relaxed and at peace. Thank you, Adriene 🙏🏻💛

Thank you! This one is my go to for my 10 min morning yoga before I start the day. My dad passed away this week so didn't do much yoga due to just getting all things ready for his funeral, and I felt it. Little pains here and there (and 7 months pregnant). I feel a lot better now, YOGA FOR LIFE, thank you.
