I wish we could dye weapons, like we can for armor. That would solve the appearance of many existing weapon designs, or at least improve them a bit.

I regret not picking the spear from the one Tequatl's Hoard I've gotten in the last 10-years.

Shoutout to my main man Nitro, which is just a rusty harpoon with several sticks of dynamite wrapped around it. On the TP for sub-2g.

This fits to the warrior theme perfectly since it does splash damage.

The new Weapon's Set introduced in this year's Dragon Bash DOES include a new Spear, so I have no doubt they will start including new ones too in upcoming sets.

Yeah the crystaline weapons from Dragon Bash this year had a Spear too,

LOVE this video, you're right that these are some skins I've never seen or even heard of before. I could have watched a video 10x as long if you'd kept going, now I'm curious to see all the other spear options in the game!

Hoping they bring spear skins to all existing black lion sets. Will seem silly to have so many sets that only cover 98% of all weapons.

Thank You for including some of the original Guild Wars skins - I remember the voltaic spear and how, if dyed, the blue light would also change colour

If they need a ton of new spears for the expac and the past 10+ of black lion weapons don't have spears, maybe have unofficial black lion themed spears available in the open world, in a "fell off the back of a truck" kinda way. A fun shiny for most while letting completionist have fully matching weapons.

Tormented spear skyrocketed in price weeks before spears were announced. Someone had inside info.

So many staff skins came out over the past years that looked like they were made for spears, but we won't be able to use them for Spears unfortunately.

Re: Ignus Fatuus: You can buy mystic coins with astral acclaims tokens through the wizard vault which just reset. I dont have the game open atm but I think its 8 AA per mystic coin. It is a limited amount. Eldritch scroll is cheap from Mystic Forge attendant. Will be hoarding ores and globs so should have that purple beauty before expansion drops.

Vigil Spear was my favorite showcase this video, though likely not a surprise if I tell you I main Guardian, and even learned from Evan from his Cele Willbender build awhile back.

Spears not being in some of the expasions made sense, 1 is jungle themed with almost no water, 1 is a desert, and 1 is "islands" in the sky......they kinda lack water related combat in those areas.

I got Ignus Fatuus for my mesmer. Can't wait for the expac! And a betatest of spears at the end of June!

I crafted one of every Legendary weapon type (plus 3 duplicates for dual wielding) over the past few years, so I have the Kamohoali'i Kotaki spear skin, but I wasn't too impressed with any of the spear skins you showed, so I hope Anet comes out with many new spear skins in the new expansion, and moving forward in the game.

good thing I had chaos spear and 8 tequalt board on bank. light and dark should cover most classes.

For me the only current spear that looks somewhat like a real land spear is dragonfury, the others are way too short to be used as land spears, lets hope we get more skins with the new expansion

Since spear skins have not been a part of weapon sets for a super long time, I hope ANet puts some extra effort into putting a lot of new spear skins into the game with the expansion.

Will the scholar classes have tridents?

I'm petty but I still feel like they're kind of starting to cross a line on my nerve now. I can understand professions and their extra abilities, mounts and such. But to technically introduce a new basic weapon to several classes the same way axes, pistols and short swords work. And lock it behind an expansion. And not just any expansion. But to any new player. They will get in, try all the weapons, see this ONE default weapon, fail to use it and see they are FIVE expansions from getting to use it. This is getting so raw even Runescape is giving a yellow card. Is it too much to throw just a little bone? Give veterans and some burnt out players something new to just give the game another round and play again and maybe encourage to buy the rest. Give some motivation to return. Give new players a whiff of the potential more content they could purchase. There's a term called Loss leader. meaning lowering a product below the market cost, to lure in customers and incentivize them to spend more on other products. Runescape does this by updating the game and giving the basic new stuff and some smaller new stuff for free and withholding the bigger stuff behind a membership. My biggest concern though is the long run. WoW eventually made so many expansions, each requiring the other; that they made the oldest one free and standard. Eventually GW2 is gonna reach a point where the only logical and reasonable choice for a consumer is to wait and gradually buy expansions that are on sale. Delaying the bigger purchase of new releases for a more sound pricing, as compared to the previous ones combined already equaling over 50 euro even on sale. So the only future options would either be to do the same as WoW. Or adopt the bait product strategy. Cause paying over 800 or even 950 euro is kind of ridiculous even with the base game being free. As at this point. It's almost becoming a demo for the actual game. They have an in game store already. It's feels more degrading and painful to play walking simulator literally looking like a rag dressed beggar in the middle of a speeding flying dragon and turtle traffic with more abilities on their mounts. Than it feels incentivizing to buy the expansions just to get a quality of life improvement. It feels like I encounter more paywall blocks to content than actual playable content even after I've purchased up to only the latest 2 expansions. And I was dumb enough to buy the game at launch full prize, twice! Just so my best friend could play it.

Please stop including terrible/ugly/boring weapons JUST because they are from GW1. It's so weird to me that you do that. One thing is that YOU like it, but it's such a weird and niche reason to like a weapon for that not many others than you will see the same "value" in it...... I don't know... This is a personal video with your opinion, I would just consider how relevant a specific opinion is to YOU compared to your viewer, especially when it comes to this. Other than that Love you content and you seem like a rly great guy!

Voltaic spears are an original popular weapon, people would farm hours in groups to get the chance at it. It also is easily one of the better looking spears lol
