This christmas album has been re-released in several guises. The 20M sales quoted includes all versions- and they sell well every year so the sales accumulate, thats why its the biggest seller.

Hey Ed, I think you may have just created a new variant criteria all on your own...label alignment. It can be measured in degrees or by the clock face. So now unless it's a stone mint, 1S/1S, Indianapolis pressing which was done on a Monday morning right after the 10 AM coffee break 12 o'clock/12 o'clock label alignment (also known as 0 x 90 degrees), it's not worthy of being in anyone's collection LOL. The 1957 was the most elusive in my young collecting days. I got really lucky a few months ago and got a nice one for just $35.00, seams and booklet intact, the only problem being a small paint or nail polish mark on the background of the front cover.

Hi Ed, it’s actually not this album, it’s the 1970 RCA Camden album that is his best seller and others similar in configuration. The 1957 is, inaccurate, I believe, certified as 3x Platinum, but I think it’s the 1959 re-issue of this Lp so that should get that credit and acknowledgement. Merry Christmas 🎁🎄 and enjoy. 😊

Hate to tell you ED but the 1957 ELVIS Christmas album is not the biggest selling CHRISTMAS album. That belongs to the ELVIS 1970 CAMDEN label release ( ELVIS'S Christmas album ) has been certified diamond for selling over 10 million copys. And is the only Diamond award album ELVIS has.

I just verified…it is the same matrix as the FM release and has Kevin Grey’s initials in the deadwax too. Sounds GREAT!!

Hold onto it, Ed! I at least have my parents'' copy, which is the second pressing, the blue one that came out in the '60s, but yours is an original copy from '57! Who cares if it's a little rough around the edges, it's an original!

The American album cover is really great just looking at it makes you feel Christmas even on a hot July summers day, the U.K cover is dull RCA should've made the U.S cover go world wide. I'm not a great fan of Christmas songs only maybe 5 and none are sung by Elvis and it's, in fact that cover is so great just replace the Elvis picture with your fave singer/group to their Christmas song ( I.E Slade) and it's a winner.

LOC-1035 LPM-1951 and LSP 1951(e) are NOT the best selling Christmas album. CAL-2428 and its variants are. They earned a RIAA Diamond award-10 million sold.
