Hey Ed! That set was released in October, 1977. The ten record set (20 Golden Hits) was released in December, 1977. I got both sets at Walmart when they were first released.

This is the 1st time I've this. There was a Canadian pressing of Elvis 45's that came out Elvis passed too. With the hard cardboard sleeves with different pictures sleeves and different songs. combinations combinations

A set in a red box also came out around the same time called 20 Golden Hits. 10 singles. I bought them both.

I've seen them on Ebay a couple of times and was tempted to buy but changed my mind and now that you've said that I'm glad i did. Luv the show.

Here in the Netherlands the singles were sold individually. I bought Hound dog/Don’t be cruel , In the Ghetto/ Any day now/Are you lonesome tonight?/I gotta know ,Heartbreak Hotel/I was the one good stuff.

Hey Ed, I bought the two 50th Anniversary singles (gold pressings) box sets. The boxes edges are a little worn but the singles inside remain unplayed! I remember I would have been about 11 and I made a deal with a local business to get the money to buy them! I worked 2 days straight, 8am until the night cleaning their warehouse. At the two days, the guy then made me clean his car before giving me the money! He was a real creature!

RCA did the right thing and pumped out more Elvis Goodness. There will never e enough.

Hi Ed, I like you was old enough to remember that day. I stood outside my record store the next morning and bought additional recordings. The thing that brought everything into focas was a women came into the store while I was there all dressed in black with a vail and bought every Elvis record the store had in stock. Also Ed we just passed the date of June 26 that marked the anniversery of Elvis last live performance in Indianapolis.

You Are right about a teal box set i see it at my local thirft store i think it was released around 1978 But its more like a Michigan Blue but yea they exist.

Hi, Ed. I have two of those sets as well as the “shorter” set that came in the red box (10 Golden Records, 20 Golden Hits); don’t know why they did that! The box set that you showed would be the more practical choice. I do believe, if memory serves, that these box sets were released prior to the double album, “Elvis In Concert”.

Got em in ‘77. Removed from box. Never played them. Also inserted cardboard in each sleeve that does not break down and acids ring ware and sealed in plastic. Maroon one is Canadian and has less records. Same process for 60 years

I have the Black Box still sealed plus an additional open one. I also have the Red Box-Set.

For example. Moody blue came out with Way Down in Canada.

Hey Ed, great video. I remember picking this up in the summer of 1978 at a Peaches records store in Florida. The quality of picture sleeves is disappointing, I don't remember listening to them, but I'm sure I did. Later sets were great. The version of this in the red box had 10 of the same singles instead of 15. I still have both them.

I too have this 45 box set which Discogs has a really low price! I will keep mine since its value is so low!

A bought the red box set in 1978 not sure when it was released never had it long because my so called friend stole it never managed to replace it

There are adapters that go into the middle so they can be played.
