I'm still on the S9+ after 4 years and 3 months and it's still performing admirably well. Obviously, the battery doesn't last as long as it did but I can still get a day's use out of it with moderate use which is very impressive.

I just swiped an s20 fe for 100 bucks on ebay and I'm slowly turning it into a one stop shop for emulating retro games from the NES and SNES all the way to Gamecube and PS2.

I have the A12 and my husband has the A13 and we love our phones! We've never understood why someone would wanna pay 1,000 bucks for a phone but to each it's own I guess! 🤷🏻‍♀️

My mom has an a12, she let me use for school. It couldn't handle it, after a few weeks it started overheating and switching off automatically. Needs someone who's not big on multitasking, I'm not even a gamer.

The only compromise on the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G is the lack of Always-On Display, despite that the certain phone has an AMOLED panel. I am not sure if aodNotify will work on that phone without Always-On Display.

I am currently using samsung A53. I must say, i am enjoying it at the moment.

what kept me from buying the a33 but buying the a32 is that there wasn't a reported gyro sensor on the a33, no accelerometer, no magnetic sensor so that you can use your phone as a compas. These are huge features people just don't talk about and they are make or break in certain settings.

i have the a33 and it has an accelerometer i verified in castro that is an app to read sensor data

The A52 gets 3 major os update, and an ekstra year of security updates, same as A52s. A52 is just over 1.5 year old and A52s 6a just over a year old, so lots of updates back. As far as I know its on the 3 quarterly update cycle. I woukd also buy the A52s over the A52 5g and also the A53.

Awesome video Wade, it never makes sense for me to pay $1000 for a cell phone that is going to be out of date in one year. $500 to $600 that what I pay for my cell phone. I like the fact that Samsung cell phone has SD card slots. I am planning to replace my slow Samsung tablet 8 inches with an old Samsung Galaxy Note and S phones. I like the Note 20, S21 and S20.

I would have never thought smart phones would go up to $1000 i remember the old droid phones were like $500 brand new and if you think about it in a couple of years that $1000 phone will probably be $500 in a couple of years

I’m thinking about grabbing the Note 20 ultra because the regular Note 20 doesn’t have an SD card slot and I think the ultra might be worth the extra money. What do y’all think?

I don't think the Note 20 Ultra is that much more expensive compared to the note 20. I bought the Note 20 Ultra because the Note 20 seems so watered down. If you are planning on using it for a few years then that sd card slot comes in handy. With all my apps I already use half the storage. I can use the SD card for all the photos and videos I will have. I wanted the 120 hz screen refresh rate as well. I like the build of the Ultra better, the glass material compared to the plastic. Also the camera is a little bit better as well. The Ultra also has more RAM.

Every Samsung I've ever had has the worst overheating (same with my pixel 6a which is why I'm looking for a new device) and idk what else to do anymore 😔 it's so frustrating

This is a great list for shopping on a budget thanks Wade , I would also add the Samsung M52 5g where available,for around $320 in many markets , sweet deal if you don't mind the lack of ois and stereo speakers.

I just picked up the Note 20 5G about a month ago. I wasn't planning on getting one nor looking for one, but I just so happen to be scrolling through what seemingly appeared to be the infinitely Walmart online site that has seriously more of everything than Amazon. By accident or by chance, I saw a rarity. A Mystic Red Unlocked Note 20 5g for $300. Typically I would think it over but in this case I read the description thus condition and I immediately bought it. It actually just received Android 13 and really the only feature it lacks or the feature that I wished it had was the higher 90 to 120hrtz refresh rate. However to be honest, being that I have the Pixel 7 Pro and OnePlus 9 Pro that are my main phones, I really have not even noticed that it is only a 60hrtz. I guess I should add that I thought I recalled the Note 20 5G to have a micro SD card slot which I was wrong. I can definitely attest and validate exactly what you said in that not just with the Note 20 5G but with any of the older model Samsung Flagships which I've written about often being that the S20 series from Samsung in my opinion were the very last of the very best premium built every feature you could think of smartphones that Samsung will have ever made. Samsung made some rather cheap cost cutting corner cutting moves that began with the S21 series that Samsung no longer offers what they were widely known for and offered which were the very best most premium built smartphones you could get. I find it to be a cheap greedy move by Samsung but as what is an entirely different topic, as Apple has it and only allows, Samsung in the US, to be the only other true Flagship option even at the current moment with the Pixel 7 series out. The pixel 7 series are awesome and within a couple years as long as Google either continues or quite possibly if Apple allows, only then will the US have a third true Flagship to choose from. I say the above because Samsung no longer has any competitive reason to offer the highest and best premium of build. There was nor is there currently any other competition that would and that goes for apple as well which is to no longer or simply no need to innovate by way of another top tier flagship that would pose not even the slightest threat to eat in to their set in stone predetermined profit margins and or their guaranteed thanks to apple writing the mobile market guidelines in the US to put a fire under either or both their asses Samsung and Apple to only do and offer the the very least yet still charge the already highly inflated prices thus we the market are paying more for less than product. Hence the reason why the pixel 7 series was so well received. Something different and for the first time in years brought a little innovation with. I digress. What to buy s20 note s20 Fe or the A52?

Had my S9+ since April 2019 the power button and Bixby button fell out so I've been looking for a new phone

Still rocking an s8+ haven't ever had 1 single issue, glitch, or complaint. I dont want some big ass phone with square corners. I just want something with the same smooth edges and overall size. But I cant find anything that is as softly rounded to replace it with

@J L not compared to the s8+ .... the s8+ is the smoothest rounded corners and side (edge) of pretty much any smart phone ever built. It was basically perfect.

I am going for S21. It will get at least 2 major Android updates and at least 3 years of security updates.

It will have another 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates. Samsung confirmed that as they launched the S22. So S21 will have up to Android 16 and S22 Android 17.

I've had my Samsung S8+ since 2019 just severally cracked phone screen today so after 4 wonderful years I have to buy a new one 😩

I recently purchased a renewed S21 coming from an S9 and although the lack of a headphone jack and SD card slot, it's a great phone

With Samsung now supporting their midrange phones for 4 years and Google their Pixel A phones for 3? They're the only phones I can really consider buying (with Moto G series & OnePlus Nord series only getting one major update and Moto not having NFC at all. ) Especially with Samsung's cheaper depreciation prices and refurbished prices on Amazon. T-Mobile based MVNO's don't really discount phones as deeply as TracFone, Boost and Cricket does their locked phones and I'm on Metro by T-Mobile, so upgrading/changing will probably be Amazon unlocked or cheap T-Mobile locked phones going forward, that Metro will activate for me. Appreciate your reviews, Wade cutie.

I'm personally not the type of person to buy a midrange, it's usually not better than what you could get a used flagship for. Wanted an a32, got an s20 fe for the same price. I'm happy with my choice.

The ladt one must be an A52s 5G. Some of my friends are still rocking it since 2021 and they say there's no lag or stutter at all. If you aren't a hardcore gamer, you can get an A72 also, but the downsides are 4G and worse chipset and cameras. The A52 series IS getting android 13 and OneUI 5.1, Samsung said they'll go up to android 14 and OneUI 6.1

sadly the prices are not the same here where i live. refurbished you cant get a s21 or s10 series under 360. the lowest you can get is 200 for a s20 fe with an exynos used (not refurbished) But now heres the thing: i can buy a a52s 5g for 160 couple months used or new for 289. wich puts me kind of in an awkward position where: yeah i could spend a little more and get a potential better phone but... do i need it? probably not because i m pretty sure an a52s does everything a normal person does on their phone and i can either save more money or even get a brand new one for that matter

I think going for a older s or note series is better than going for an a series

S23 ultra is very much advanced. It has new features and you can even customise your lockscreen, the camera is great for people who are avid photographers, it has 200 megapixel camera with 100 times zoom

2 or 3 years? My huawei p10 Lite is still rocking after 5 years, 0 issues 😆

A33 5g has no earphone jack, but he didn't mention that

As a person who regularly buys older phones at a discounted price. Samsung is great for budget hunters like me and I could get a flagship device for a bargain price. I can't wait for when I can pick up the S21 and newer phones because they will start getting four OS updates and five years of security patches. I am sad that LG exited out of the market. LG phones depreciated in price faster than Samsung phones but would say the value justified the price since LG has worse software support. On Amazon, a LG v60 is around $200 and that is comparable to the Note 20 ultra.

You are truly a live saver About a month ago I was looking for a new phone and Didn't want to drop a kidney for a phone especially because The industries getting greedier and greedier with phones not coming with simple headphones and full charger anymore so I bought Samsung A33 5G phone from your recommendation. I love the phone the only - being camera not being the best when it comes to zoom in and shooting in artificial light I love the detail that sound is coming from both sides

Keep them for 2 or 4 years.. LOL I'm still on my old LG phone after 6 years. Smart phone companies need to build products that last longer not that planned obsolescence everything seems to have built into today. From smart phones to cars. Ugg.

If u like compact phones, u could go for iPhone 13 mini, or u could buy the regular 12 or 13. If u have a lower budget, u could buy the iPhone 11.

Iphone 11 seems to be the best compromise if it's not too expensive for you. Both new or used. XR is cheaper, (2nd hand only ) but has quite a few compromises in comparison, even though it's the same screen and battery. For a larger screen, XSMAX is quite old and expensive - not worth it. 11 pro max would probably be the best option, just compare it to the price of the new 13 max - non-pro ( both are still expensive) If you want a new device, the SE from 2023 is leaked to have the XR design, and should be affordable ( for Iphone standards), so it might be worth waiting another 4 months.

Yesterday I bought the a04s, it's cost 30,000 over here.

i bought the a53 5g as a second phone for my business, it has 256gb storage for £320 on ebay brand new. I am surprised how good it is, I won't be buying any more new flag ship phones again. my other phone is an s22 ultra, I have moved away from apple, they are too expensive for what you get.

S10 is a great phone...had it 5years...broke my s21 s22 too big, just keep using my s10...built much better than newer phones and works on everything.

What about A73, IT'S A GOOD PHONE TOO

Boost got phones for a steal. I got my a13 5g for $70 and it gets the job done.

Why the A13 and not the A14?

The a23 5g is an awesome phone has a solid processor (snapdragon 695) good cameras 120 hertz display also 1080p if it's in your budget definitely get it if your buying from Amazon or something like that u can also find the Samsung Galaxy a53 5g for 349$ hope this helps

Our carriers here are so sneaky - they never offer previous years models, and have increased the contract periods from 24 months to 36 months, but their warrenty is still only 24 months.

i bought a samsung a71 4g for 180€ and its worth every penny 6.7 inch super amoled display 60hz but looks very good 6gb ram 128gb powerd by snapdragon 730 which can run everything and its fast i was able to run genshin impact on it at the highest setting and it ran well battery life is very good lasts a full day of heavy use and the quad camera setup is good but if u install a gcam port its definetly close to iphone 12 and galaxy s21 with gcam 8.7 crazy how good gcam works so far i love it

A33 is kinda not useable for many networks..... and is only 30 bucks less than the A53 at this time. and the A54 isn't much more expensive than that.

It has worser telephoto cam and only 4000Mah Battery and a glass back that shatters easily. There is no reason anyone would want to choose S20 over S20FE

And regardless of that, the smaller battery comes with a smaller phone which more or less compensates for it and they are both 1 day phones anyway. The differences between both -battery and telephoto cameras are completely negligible and not even remotely as prominent as other differences. Ive been using glass phones for the past 4 years and havent broken any of them, even tho I'm completely sure I put them in more intense situations than you or most of the people do. I do parkour and bring my phones with me everywhere. Therefore, if you are sloppy enough that a glass phone is a potential predicament for you, it's your problem, not mine. And glass feels significantly more premium than the garbage 'glasstic' material samsung uses. Just the aesthetics of S20 alone , especially the bezels, decimate the FE. By your logic, I could say S20 also has a 4K selfie video, as opposed to 1080p on FE and also has an 8K recording but those arguments would be just as completely useless as yours, because they are just negligible differences.
