5:16 Natural remedies for Sjogren’s syndrome
9:52 Find out what vitamin D can do for autoimmune diseases!
Let’s talk about Sjogren’s syndrome and an interesting protocol I would do if I had Sjogren’s syndrome.
Sjogren’s syndrome is an autoimmune disease that is commonly mistaken for dry eyes or dry mouth. It’s a chronic problem that can progress and can affect the sinuses, gastrointestinal tract, lungs, kidneys, and nervous system.
It’s common for people with Sjogren’s syndrome to have other autoimmune diseases. There is also a lot of pain and fatigue and a high risk of lymphoma associated with Sjogren’s syndrome.
Women are more likely to have Sjogren’s syndrome than men. One cause of Sjogren’s syndrome is a genetic weakness that can become triggered by certain environmental factors. The trigger or stress factor is usually Epstein-Barr virus or cytomegalovirus brought out of remission from a stress event.
There is also some interesting research that suggests that this problem could be initiated in the gut. If you have an autoimmune disease or inflammatory disease, it’s crucial to get your diet on the right track.
The natural protocol for Sjogren’s syndrome that I would do addresses putting the immune system back in balance.
The best protocol for Sjogren’s syndrome:
1. Sweet wormwood
2. Broccoli sprouts (sulforaphane)
3. Sauerkraut
4. Vitamin D
5. Vitamin A (cod liver oil)
6. Black currant seed oil
7. Coconut oil
8. Cordyceps mushroom

High stress/grief/emotional trauma is the trigger. Mine went into remission using hyperthermia treatments (fever bath, dry sauna etc) , turmeric externally with castor oil and turmeric internally, ground chia and flaxseeds, greens, lots of garlic, cruciferous veggies - all every day. Along with a whole foods 100% plant based diet, plenty of water, sunshine, rest, exercise and trust in God.

Thank you so much for this Dr Berg. Diagnosed in 2004 Contributing- Connective Tissue Disease, Celiac, Osteoporosis (just found out about this) High Blood Pressure, cholesterol, chronic pain, fatigue I’m sharing this with you because you have the wisdom to understand the risks associated with each of these complex issues that I am dealing with. I have been referred to a few specialist for testing, many MRIs this year, aortic aneurism without ruptured with stints placed in Sept., and significant blood work. I now see my pcp every other month and am getting nerve blockers that unfortunately are not taking for sciatica. I’m concerned that with all of this going on, even though I’m blessed to be able to receive fine referrals, there is no “home base” that was prepared for all of this unexpected change in my physical health and many tests are duplicated, tests are not being shared and I am very concerned about my health and I respect and appreciate everyone who has helped me, but I am a handful and need more coordination care because I am tired and need help. Please guide me through this situation. My insurance carrier charges January first, I can stay on or move to a more mature practitioner. I am in a geriatric maintenance practice now, for the most part. Beautiful people, but like I said, I think I need more now. I will watch for one of these downloads on your app You bless us all 🙏

I agree with that. I was just recently diagnosed with Sjogrens Syndrome after my rheumatologist ordered labs. I was already diagnosed with 2 other chronic autoimmune disorders for about 5 years. I thought that because of the medications to treat those, I suffered extreme dry mouth. I lost my teeth one by one over the last 10 years and had to drink excessive amounts of water all day, every day, just to avoid the sore throat and swallowing issues. My rheumatologist missed it until way too late. I'm just now researching and learning how to properly care for myself with these issues and still live an active life. I'm only 45 and plan to beat this.

This video answers a lot of my questions, it explains a lot. Thank you so much. It seems stress really is a huge player in the state of our health, perhaps even an underlying factor for most diseases. I'm very sorry for people who like myself are stuck in a really bad place with no chance of getting out any time soon. Stress can be so corrosive and destructive, especially when it starts wreaking havoc on a subconscious level it gets harder and harder to manage. Hopefully the suggested dietary changes will help, at least they are a bit more within my control.

His videos demonstrate that the medical profession doesn't spend much (if any) time educating their clients about the basics. They don't answer questions. They rush from room to room. If you ask something they don't know lol - well you get told "it's in your head" "not important". My story is too long for here. I greatly appreciate this videos. Our society is specialized work. I can't major in everything. So we need competent professionals to give good advice - like these videos! I share them with friends and family. Many thanks for all of these videos. PS) I'd like for doctors to start calling me a client not patient. We are all smart and educated. It levels the field. Just a thought.

Was hospitalised yesterday & a friend mentioned Sjogren's. I thought I'd do some research and realise that I have almost all of the signs & symptoms. I will be contacting my rheumatology nurse after the weekend to discuss things. I'm in the UK.

Dr. Berg, this might be a great idea for a future video. I have interstitial cystis and I also have all these other autoimmune issues clumped into one. I am sensitive to high histamine foods, such as sauerkraut and all the foods that help with gut health? They trigger a mast cell activation flare for me. However, I could also tell the fatigue and all the other symptoms got better while eating sauerkraut, kefir, and foods like that. Except, the interstitial cystitis worsens. Which is caused by a mast cell reaction attacking the lining of the bladder. I wish there was a way around this. I would love to incorporate these foods into my diet. Thanks! Your videos are full of amazing holistic education, that we can’t find in the medical field these days. You explain how the body works and the whys. Things that many doctors never address. Thank you!

  • @jazzmoon77

Hey @tracyhagler2146 your symptoms sound a lot like mine. You might want to try PQQ to help with the cells that line your bladder and are damaged/hypersensitised by interstitial cystitis. Also have a read about low dose naltrexone. I’ve just started on it recently and it’s been the only thing that’s had a significant improvement on all my issues. Diet and supplements still v important but in terms of medications, this is the first effective one I’ve tried.

I really appreciate the tips on the vitamins, of which, I have been told, I was deficient in vitamin D, C and due the fact I have chronic pain, I was told to add omega 3 as well and I'm sure I am not taking the correct or kind or brand of omega 3 that I should. Also could you do a video on parasitical infections being diagnosed as cancer and the various anti-parasitical treatments that are curing cancer? Ever since covid and people using horse paste, they've been curing themselves of different breast and pancreatic cancers as well as small cell lung cancers and lymphomas. Having lived in the sub-tropics of SWFL for 30+ years, I suspect many ills could be cured in this region alone by regular treatments of anthelmintic supplements. I think even sweet wormwood falls into this category. Same with sauerkraut. Happy Holidays to you and the Mrs. :)

I’ve got longcovid and it’s triggered all these things that you’ve mentioned today and more. I feel like I’m trapped in a nightmare.

Try wet cupping, if you can find someone in your city to do it and is licensed. It cleans up all Longcovid symptoms and helps with sjogrens

@@kikiwillow187 it’s where they put tiny paper cuts on certain places where toxic blood gathers and then by removing the toxic blood, the lymphatic system is cleaned up again thereby affecting your whole body. Works for lupus, sjogrens, pretty much all auto immune. Try typing it in google maps, or type hijama.

For my dry eyes, my physician recommended a petroleum based eye ointment. I used coconut oil instead. Worked great. Temporary blurry vision until oil dissipated.

You can get Homeopathic Eye Drops. At an health store, or pharmacy. Always read ingredients, and research them so that you know what they are.
