In other words to wrap the exercise around by meals, I'd say ideally 2 proper meals before, one after exercise to get as much energy in/ to create as much glycogen, to get as much pump as possible.
As someone who just started making content, wow do I appreciate the level of professionalism here. I aspire to get to this level in a couple years!!

I thought no more than 40g of protein in a meal could be allocated to muscle protein synthesis (the surplus is converted to glucose)

Nah this has been debunked in a brand new study where they compared protein intake (100g vs 25g) in one meal. The result was that 100g of protein per meal resulted in higher and far more longer muscle protein synthesis than the smaller meal, which makes sense.

I haven’t started working out yet but i love this guy and the science he backs everything he says up with. I am an engineer so i love to know the actual science but its shockingly hard to find good sources when every gym bro thinks hes cracked the code

Based on my experience, I have overall better performance, when I am hungry, which is why I train in the morning. But this is just because, we are all different and we gotta look what works best for us. Great advice tho.
