Yes, instead of increasing the weight by one pound each week (which we probably cannot do) we can increase the reps a bit. Then we can add like 5 more lbs. Got it!

You can't know the science of a random person's body though. That's the only caveat.

so I’d say i’m an intermediate lifter and do pull-ups as my first exercise for back, but for hypertrophy would it make sense to swap it with something else that’s in the s-tier in this video? I do pullups and lat pull downs for my lats in my current routine.

I did this in front of a girl who was using the abs machine and I was looking straight at other people behind her to focus but I can tell she was looking at me 😂 so then I intentionally closed my eyes while doing the movement shown in this video 😂 but jokes aside, i like this method better than stretching both shoulders at the same time

But, don’t the cuffs just decrease the lever arm of the exercise? That would explain why he got more reps, because it was loading the side delt with less force. Or am i missing something else?

I did these during covid, using planks to keep the burn going in between sets, but I always did it after a run or some hiit. I was in a state that only locked down for 2 weeks so I didn't stay out of the gym for long.

I feel like it’s a little bit of both as not everyone will want to exercise but also some people were always born that way but can still technically loose weight and turn it into muscle. Yes metabolism is in play but also genetics play into it
