What else do you have on your car? I have a ‘17 G30. I’m MHD stage 2 plus with the XHp. It was a total game changer. Without it the additional power didn’t balance well with the transmission.

14:19. It definitely works on cold start for me. The only time it doesn't work is when I'm on an incline. It works every other time (M240i RWD). When the transmission is cold the 1-2 shift can be quite jerky at low-partial throttle, this is why I activated this setting. It makes pulling away from a stop much smoother and more relaxed.

Hey, for someone after the loud brap upshift sound increasing torque reduction seems to be the key if I’m getting it correct. I was just wondering in what increments should I try raising torque reduction upshift between gears to get what the loud upshift sound I’m after? Or is it better to play around and see. Regardless if you have a number I should start at I would appreciate it! Thanks man

I really appreciate the support. And yes, the torque reduction will give you what you're looking for. Start in the middle and slowly go more aggressive until you hit the sound you like. I would only increase it as much as you need to. It can slow down the shifts and affect performance.

Can anyone recommend the optimal custom XHP (stage 2) settings for my RWD 340i MHD stage2 on E30 blend? I'm running always start in 2nd Gear on and some torque reduction but the car really has trouble putting the power down on my 265/35/19's in the rear. Even in Sport mode the traction control constantly cuts power as it loses traction. I really regret not getting X-drive.... Also should i go to a 275 or 285 on 18's for better traction?

@@kern417would you do 600 for 3rd as well? Do you think 3rd is stronger, or simply not as necessary unless you’re hybrid turbo? I’m thinking engine torque could get higher than 600 even on stock turbo with some of the dyno sheets I’ve seen being 550+

3rd is stronger than 6th but the limit just depends. Not many go that high on stock turbo without port injection

Do you recommend using torque reduction or staying away ?

Would adjusting the slides help prevent the car from going into limp mode during hard launches on a prepped surface?

No, that just adjusts how much power is sent. There are still limiters that can put the car in limp in certain scenarios

So torque reduction function if i put the slider to negative it can make the car faster right?

It just depends on if that's even a limiting factor. If you have other Big Turbo then possibly

Idk if I’m the only one that has run into this issue… I have a 2017 540i 40k miles with MHD stage 1 (for now). All maintenance is up to date. Bought XHP, flashed the car, get a flashing CEL but no error codes. Uninstalled and it went away. Tried to reinstall same thing. Anyone have an answer for this?

hey how’s it going I’m having trouble with slipping from 4th-5th gear is there any settings that could help besides bumping the line pressure it works sometimes but the car is stock no tune just downpipes and intakes what would u recommend also my xhp settings never seem to save i have to flash my settings every time i get in the car

If your transmission is slipping on stock tune then make sure your fluid levels are not low. Otherwise it may be time for a rebuild/replacement.

If you daily your car but don’t use sport + with dsc off but maybe do a couple non wot pulls throughout the day of usage. Is drag mode bad in that scenario?

Will drag mode work in the D mode of the gear and Sport+ of the engine?

Great videos, the most informative I've find with regard to xHP software. I have one question, new user of xHP I try to do my custom maps. I cant notice any change of ZF8 transmission shifting, BMW F30, until the transmission is fully warmed up. It seems that xHP maps are not active and stock map is on until transmission fully warmed up. Is that the case, as it was meant to be?

Has anyone used these settings on N55 ? are ZF8 transmissions all the same ?

Do you think Throttle Blips will wear the transmission? I love driving it in manual mode in my 2022 M340i and I have my Throttle Blips all set to +35% it’s so addicting hearing the downshifts. Also put my Torque Reduction all to +10%. I’m only on JB4 since these are locked ECU. Just curious because I don’t wanna blow my transmission either.

not really needed unless you're pushing the limits of the trans with a tune that isn't reporting torque accurately.

Would be so good if you could have different settings that you could toggle through like you can with the ECU tune eg MHD. Then you could select valet mode on/off in a couple of seconds

You could even have a 0% power mode as an anti theft setting. I've even suggested this to MHD in the past

Make the map you want and export it (three dots in the top right). You can export as many maps/setting configurations as you want! Like Race Mode or Valet Mode. Makes flashing for every scenario a lot quicker! NOTE: Export/Import only works in the editing window for some reason. If your in the stage selection window, export/import will fail.

To you recommend standard or lower for drag race mode, stage 2+ bm3?

i wanna try drag race mode from a 50 roll to see what ill get, but my trans is already experiencing torque limits in 6th gear should i try it one time?

Torque limits in 6th aren't much of a factor specifically. What's your mileage/maintenance like? No fluid leaks or anything?

Main thing is making sure the car is in good condition and up to date on maintenance. Still no guarantees but that reduces the risk

Thanks for the video! I’m still a bit confused on the Max RPM setting. I turned it on and dropped all the values down to like 6000rpm, but my car still shifts at close to 7000rpm when I floor it. I have a BM3 Stage 1 tune and xHP Stage 2, so my turbo runs out of air by 6000rpm. Any advice?

I believe reducing torque reduction on shifts will help and dial back shift aggression. No matter what the car has to cut power when shifting and that's what you hear.

maybe on an Xdrive it is good as is... but on my RWD (MHD stage2 on E30) the stock XHP stage2 can't put the power down, not good enough traction and the traction control in Sport mode constantly cuts power. But the custom settings are hard to figure out. I should have gone X-drive. :o(

What is the current only way to get more power out of POST 06/2020 produced b58s. So like for example a 2021 m340i. And are there any companies working to figure out a way to unlock them without having to send them to femto? Its been 2 years since those b58s came out, shouldnt there be some kind of progress on figuring out a way to crack the dmes?

Femto is unfortunately the only way at the moment to get your ECU unlocked. JB4 technically gets you past the stock power levels but it isn't a true ECU tune (piggyback) like MHD or bootmod3 would be.

As far as I know there are no companies publicly working on unlocking them. Downpipe JB4 E30 is basically the limit without sending your ecu out.

@@peepstar8773 mission performance tuning has apparently had it unlocked for over 6 month now. They posted on a discussion posting in may of last year with an attached video for proof that they unlocked it. But they said they will not release it to the public until another reputable company unlocks it because they don’t want other companies to copy their technique and take credit for unlocking it. And I don’t see mhd or bm3 making any strives to unlock it. Very annoying
