I never really liked the concept of the AA being powerless over alcohol having to grovel for forgiveness for a disease !! I really want to find a way of enjoying my life ! After two years alcohol free I relapsed when I was diagnosed for the third time with cancer !! I am now five months clean but still depressed x

The hierarchy of values portion really hit me as an alcoholic. I would have never put drinking anywhere on the list, let alone in the top 5. Pretty powerful stuff.

I actually had a tear in my eye when Professor Von Breton told us he had been a pupil of the great Professor Ellis. SMART Recovery for me, is a home coming. Professionally, & personally, I had used techniques from Ellis, Bandura, even Pavlov's theories, as the Master shared in this video, for me, I had forgotten the skills & tools.

I really don’t get the negative comments. I can understand him and the audience members just fine. I appreciate the walk through and this video, great work!
