literally all he did was follow the censorship and 'appropriateness' guidelines talk show hosts are forced to adhere to for the most part in america. here, there are just too many sensitive people. hell they just allowed the word fuck to e said on regular cable tv. a show like this just couldnt exist in america and it makes me sad. the closest we ever get is the comedy central roasts and youtube channel shows or podcasts. but never a straight up show with hilarity like this.

Manwell congrats on you for feeling that way. But I don't see it like that. And yes, generally British TV shows are better, cuz the humour is different, but he is still in my opinion the only chat show of the US version that I watch regularly... He has such fun games like rap battle, carpool karaoke, and the one were they aren't allowed to flinch.

Kira Jeppesen since when is it mainstream to hate chat show hosts? There's loads of chat show hosts that everyone loves, a prime example being graham norton. James corden is just cringe on his chat show because he's such a kiss arse. And you can really tell when he's forcing out the laughter on his show.

M A actually it’s not that the joke doesn’t age well, it’s that the joke demonstrates it’s our culture that hasn’t aged well. The PC police and their power over the culture is not progression, it’s regression.

jimmy2k4o it’s not regression if “our culture” demonstrably is progressing past a point previously acceptable. It’s evolution of what is acceptable or not

M A if our culture has ‘evolved’ in a direction that treats jokes like they’re serious and increasingly restricts freedom of speech in an effort to force the world to be (in the view of some people) better. It’s a shift in the direction of authoritarianism, censorship and moral intimidation. Encouraging people to be more sensitive and vulnerable is unwise. People already have a natural tendency to victimise themselves and dwell in self pity, why encourage it?

@@jimmy2k4o I understand your point and concern however it reinforces the idea that trans people are themselves "abominations" which reinforces violence and discrimination towards trans people. And violence and discrimination and transphobia is still prevalent today and it continues to be and that's why people have to think before they speak. We all have to about everything, it's just apart of life. And as James said we just need to "get over it." Oh well, let's move on with our lives.

What Corden is missing is a partner, a Laurel to his Hardy, someone who can take his insanity and trade jabs with him.

Obviously it was a joke, but 'Abomination' should not get a tick. Also, if they say it's correct, Daily Mail readers are generally NOT going to be the ones complaining.
