My girlfriend recently left me for another man, and I work nights, so my sleep is basically none existent right now. So I'm glad you made this session. I'm hoping it helps me sleep!

@GhANeC Hey! Thank you for your kind words! I appreciate them so much I guess an update is in order. I'm doing a lot, lot better now. I ended up going to therapy to talk about my issues and work them out, and generally become a healthier human. My ex had a few issues with me, and those were valid. I was working on them before we split up, but now I'm making a more concerted effort to keep up those changes, and so far it's worked. At the same time, I've also come to really accept that there were absolutely things that she did which were completely unacceptable. I don't like the word toxic, and I think it's over used. But genuinely I believe that some of her behaviours were toxic in hindsight, such as the first time she split up with me to make me "fight for us". Likewise, I'm also slowly accepting that it's a very high possibility that she cheated on me, and that a lot of her concerns and weird actions and fears about me cheating, something I have never done, seemed to be projection, as were a lot of things she claimed I am. Coming to terms with that has been difficult, and I won't say it doesn't still hurt to some degree. But I'm no longer getting sleepless nights about it It took a long time to unstitch the thought and feelings I had that she was the love of my life. We'd been together for 5 years so those feelings were bound to take a while to dissipate, but I'm there now In even more positive news, I'm in a new relationship now with a partner who is more loving, empathetic, and actively supportive of me. She's incredibly smart, witty, and all around just an incredibly fun person to be with. I'm a lot happier, and the future seems a lot brighter

@@ihackedmyself makes me very glad to hear of such a positive turnaround in your life, including your clearly better and happy new relationship, and improved mental health, despite clearly a hard path with harsh realisations and recovery. Well done and best of luck with it all. Just curious btw, what kind of therapy(ies) did you get, and was it difficult and expensive to obtain, in the place you live?

@GhANeC Thank you! I forget the exact name of the therapy I had, but the way it was described to me was that the client would know what they would need to do in order to fix their problems, and the therapist would guide them through why they feel what they feel and/or give them another perspective as well as being an empathic ear. It wasn't particularly difficult to obtain, all I had to do was email her and set up a time and date. Luckily she lived close by, so I had a half an hour stroll there and back. I'd been to see her before back in 2017 when I had gone through an abortion with another girl, so I already had some repiore with her. Price wise, it wasn't too expensive, I think it was about £30 per session every 2 weeks. Though I did feel the hit to my wallet as I'm not on mega money. But it was worth the money for sure! I've also done over the phone CBT last year, but I found I didn't take to that all that well. I'd also done some talking therapies as a child and a teenager.

I always have issues with falling asleep. And so the sleep video sessions are my favorite ones. BTW today is the shortest night in my part of the globe, it is summer solstice, one of special days of the year. And it is already a dawn now. Haha. Try to sleep. Thank you, Anna! Thank you. 🙏🌞🍀

I’m so stressed about making summer vacation awesome for my kids that I get anxious trying to sleep. I miss my oldest all day when she’s at school & my second is starting in the fall. I’m going to miss him too & worry because he hasn’t gone to school yet & certainly not all day every day. 😭 I miss them already!
