The BEST Natural Moisturizer For Dry Skin and Eczema | 2 Ingredient Homemade Tallow Balm

It’s no secret that we are big fans of tallow around here. Whether using for cooking or skincare products, tallow is a staple for our family. After trying everything under the sun to help my skin-prone to dryness-tallow balm has been far and away my favorite.

    Everyone, there is a direct connection between Eczema and gluten allergy. If you have Evzema you may have an allergy to gluten even though you don't test positive for Celiac disease. A friend of mine had his Eczema completely heal in one week after he eliminated gluten from his diet.

    I agree, I tried a clean eating diet for 30 days and my skin cleared up completely. But honestly it was a hard diet to maintain. So I get flareups. I know most people have the itchy kind of eczema, mine is the burning sores on hands and forearms. I can't use commercial lotions because they burn my skin. This natural cream sounds perfect for me. Thank you for sharing.

    I know my eczema since childhood is 1. When I have too high of a white cell count. 2. Too much toxics in my system. 3. Eating too much junk. It is no fun and I believe got really worse when I had the chickenpox at 16 years of age. Many Blessings to all of your family ❤❤

    What is "toxics" and what do you mean "in your system"? Are you talking about heavy metals, PFAS, food poisoning, or what? Why do you believe that it's related to eczema? Are you aware that everything you read on facebook and youtube isn't true?

    @@werewoIf yes, too much poison in one's system, too much process food, too much sugar, and too many of added ingredients in food such as corn syrup. Having a weak immune since childhood leads to higher eczema issues. Hope this helps.

    @@beverly3397 It doesn't help at all because youre just spewing vague, mostly unrelated pseudoscience without any proof and it's quite obvious you have zero idea what "toxins" you are even referring to. "poison in ones system"? I don't usually eat rat poison so WTF are you talking about? Please do some real research. I was hoping you'd start googling yourself out of ignorance when you realized you have absolutely no clue what "toxins" you're even avoiding or how they get into your system in the first place.

    Thanks for the info. I just made my first batch of whipped tallow balm. I made some mistakes! I bought tallow from the butcher and it was tan-sh and smelled very meaty. Also, I melted it down and let it sit for an hour to begin to solidify and then used an emersion blender in it. I scooped it into a jar and as it cooled it became very hard. Much harder that the ready made one was. Whipping it is messy and too much work and after listening to you I have decided to not whip it. I'll just do the balm.

    Thank you for this video. Have a question about the oil...will coconut oil work instead of olive oil? Is there an advantage of using olive oil instead of coconut?

  • @FromScratchFarmstead

    @FromScratchFarmstead

    Жыл бұрын

    I use a liquid oil instead like olive oil because it gives the tallow balm a smooth, spreadable texture. I’ve never made it with coconut oil but it’s a solid unless it’s over 76 or so degrees Fahrenheit so I’m afraid the combination of solid oils at room temp would make it very difficult to spread as a balm. Thanks for watching!

    Also make sure you get him really hydrated. Any dry skin means you need more moisture. We can help it with rubs but to really fix it we need more hydration. Try hydrating foods and drinks. Also try cutting out citric acid from diet see if that helps. Having a problem with it can cause eczema because you sweat it out.

  • @FromScratchFarmstead

    I've never bought the epic tallow before - does it have a beefy smell or do they render it so it's odorless? If it's odorless, then warm the tallow, add the olive oil (extra virgin is great) and you are all set. If the tallow has a beefy smell and you want to get rid of the smell, then you can re-render is using the wet method to eliminate the beefy odor. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for watching and I hope you love the tallow balm!
