My wallet is a 30+ years old leather wallet my dad gave me. He bought an expensive wallet when he was like 20, then I took it when he didn't want it anymore. I've now gotten into making wallets because I love the design of this old wallet and it was mind blowing that something could last that long and have ZERO issues. That's right no stitch has ever loosened, no pocket torn, nothing at all other then it softening up.

Quik i bought one a couple years ago and stopped using after it didn’t fit my stuff lol. I’ve seen on the bellroy website they have a full size zipper wallet but it was 100+ , so i went for that Johnny wallet

Been carrying a Trayvax Ascent for about a year. Very compact, beautiful patina, extremely well made. Great company too! Love what they stand for. All American made as well.

Hey Peter, I have been using the Ridge Wallet for a couple of years now, and I love it for its small size. Having my own EDC setup, I needed something that was small so I could carry all that other stuff. This fits the bill perfectly and I have never had any issues with it. Ridge Wallet tip - when you push the cards up using that thumb-hole cutout, you can squeeze that side of the wallet together and it will separate your cards at the top somewhat to make it easier to get the one that you need without having to remove them all. Love your content!!

It seems to me that your videos and your channel in general aren't about videography or photography. It's about whatever you're passionate about and because of that you make great videos about differente subjects. Your storytelling and interaction with the camera makes the awesome channel we love to watch. :)

I have 12 wallets (which seems incredibly undecided), but like you I am very picky. I’ve narrowed down my favorite two to the Trayvax Ascent and the Hide and Drink bifold snap. They both are incredibly well made (and also very different from one another). But the attention to detail and wonderful leather hides used are unmatched.

I’ve been on an EDC binge 🤦🏻‍♂️ and started my week with the minimal shit and I feel waaayy way more organized, your vids rock Peter! 🎸

Trayvax!! I’ve gone through multiple EDC wallets over the last few years. This is by far the best. It’s built like a tank, and has a dedicated section for cash. I love it.

Just started the minimalist journey and started of with my wallet and got myself The Ridge. Love it and I don’t see myself going to something else. Now to find the perfect key organizer

Was considering it but that plastic part is stopping me and I saw a guy carrying it but the plastic part is broken

I bought a Trayvax Element(Mississippi Mud) about a year and a half ago and it's one of the best purchases I have ever made. The leather has darkened and the metal has dulled, both improvements, but the wallet shows no signs of stress, wear or tear. Rugged, elegant and unique. I love it!

You are absolutely correct about shredding addiction. I was addicted to watching youtube videos about photography. Now, not so much. Thank you Peter!

I own one and very happy with it but because aluminium internal case it’s not as thin as you like mate. Check small switch on the bottom of SECRID... pretty cool.

Really love the Herschel Charlie wallet. Minimalist and adds a little organization remaining super small. I've carried the camo edition for over a year now and it's held up great.

I keep going back to the ridge wallet. I've had it for a few years and tried other wallets in between but always find myself going back to the ridge wallet. I love it

But Peter... I literally bought a wallet that has a zipper on it a few days ago, the hell am I supposed to do now?

I have been using The Ridge for years. One has lasted long time. Also when you push that little spot to push out cards, if you push the metal together on bottom, it spreads card out for easy picking.

Thanks Pete! I was actually just looking at the Ridge and the Bellroy sleeve (from your last video about EDC) since I was doing Secret Santa shopping on Amazon. I'm just using a card holder and putting cash directly in my pocket at the moment. I had a money clip before but I put a huge wad of bills in one time and it out stretched the clip so that the normal amount of cash I put in no longer stays clipped. Haven't gotten a replacement for years. I think I will try the Ridge especially after your comment about the loose thread on the Bellroy sleeve. I definitely don't have the tools to do work on that and it's quite a steep price for a wallet that can possibly just unravel on me. I would give that one a try! Thanks again! 😁

I carry the trayvax contour and it is amazing. it is indestructible, responsibly made, and small. It's got the right amount of great leather and metal. It has made me a cleaner person in my pocket. My old wallet was full of crap, my new wallet is cards and cash, nothing else. I also love how I don't have to remove my ID to show it as I keep it on top. I challenge you to wear the leather on this to the point that you no longer enjoy the patina. Side note, they make thinner wallets but I need about 10 cards in My wallet for various life/business reasons so I went with there highest capacity wallet but they make thinner wallets.

Trayvax Contour. Done. Has everything you mentioned ,leather, no folds, technology,looks cool when you whip it out. It has excellent craftsmanship with the CNC work, and it will never let your cards bend.

Got a Secrid wallet last year on a work trip to the Netherlands and still love it. Whats best, cards slide out sorta fan-shaped so you can easily grab the one you need and slide it back into the same place where it was as a little gap remains where taken out. Also it holds coins and cash and offers a little space for some extra cards/paper bonus cards or whatever too (besides the 6 cards fitting in its main compartment).

I use a Verso card holder that also has room for cash. I have had it for about a year and love it. Like you, I had been through so many wallets until I found this one.

Watch his hands holding the wallets during the B roll. You can tell he's also a magician.

Huge Trayvax fan. I own 4 of their wallets with my favorite being the notebook summit. It’s a nice combo of metal and leather plus you can stash cash in the notebook pocket.

Missed the best one though, Trayvax. Got one in 2016 and never looked back. They're the best minimalist wallet available hands down. Still have the same one I stated with and you wouldn't even be able to tell it's not brand new. It's RFID protected, has plenty of space for your cards and cash, they have a ton of different designs/colors, and the best customer service available. Plus they're American made. There isn't anything negative I could possibly say about them. I will never buy a wallet from anyone else again. Trayvax is 100% the end all be all.

Have to agree, watching the video I was thinking "Trayvax, Trayvax!" Just recently got the Ascent wallet myself. Since it's got a 65 year warranty and I'm only a few days from my 53rd birthday, I think I'm allowed to say it will be my forever wallet :) Just a through and through top end quality wallet, can't recommend it enough.

I've had the Trayvax Axis for years. It's perfect. If you buy it, you will never again wonder if there's something better out there.

He quickly got me from 'I wanna that' to 'I definitely don’t want that!!'.

Great video! You mentioned Bellroy. My favorite EDC is the Bellroy Slim Sleeve. Thin profile for a bifold.

I love how this was a wallet review turned into an inspirational bit. I love it.

Trayvax Summit Notebook. gives you the leather you love, a metal frame, even space for a tiny notebook and Fisher space pen if you wanted to go that deep with it

Hey Pete, I agree with what you're saying I'm regards to the minimalist approach. It started with me with a Ben Sherman wallet I bought from the Bay about 7 or so years ago. It's a basic wallet that holds about 5 cards amd has a magnetic money clip. Have loved it for all these years but now I'm looking at a more traditional wallet from Populous Leather, made in Lethbridge, Alberta. Cheers

Been using “Chelsea Slim Card Sleeve Men's Wallet with RFID Protection by Vaultskin” for the past 2 years and it is super compact and has an elastic pull tab that doesn’t dangle when you pull out your cards like every other pull tab wallet. Very satisfying. Mechanism hasn’t worn, still works like day 1 and the stitching is top notch. Fantastic wallet. About the same size as a card as well!

Secrid Miniwallet FTW, had mine since 2014, with Nice patina! Sadly I have to get a new one soon, but it have lasted a long time. The pop-up function still feels smooth every time it’s time to pay.

I've been using the Carbon Fiber version of The Ridge wallet for almost a year now and I love it. I get so many compliments on it as well. I also like EDC knife The Ridge as well.

I personally bought the ridge wallet in forge carbon and I have loved it ever since. Feels awesome to have just a super simple wallet.

I've used and loved my EZGO slim wallet for the past 5 years. Got it on massdrop, barely worn out.

I've had my Ted Baker brown leather wallet for around 7 years... I love it. It's still going strong and the pattern inside is all silk... They don't make that one anymore

@@the_aimanrosdi588 Yep I have the carbon fiber. While it's a bit of adjustment at first, you get used to it quickly and the form factor is amazing. Like Peter said it's nice not ending up with a bunch of junk in your wallet because you physically can't put it in. I like the cash strap version, lets me carry more cash than the money clip.
