The menudo looks absolutely delicious! Today is the real first cool weather day in Central Texas and now I’m craving menudo even more. The hominy is my favorite part too! It seems like it’s a new trend for places to serve it without hominy, but growing up we always had it with hominy. Thanks for sharing another awesome recipe! I can’t wait to make it!

I really enjoy watching your videos. I understand you are from Arizona and I find it interesting how your recipes often differ a little bit from how we do the same dishes in south Texas. Mexican cooking along the border and in the Southwest has so many variations. I find it interesting and what makes our food the best in the world. One thing I agree with you is the hominy. To me menudo must have hominy or it just isn't done right, lol! I also like it with a lot of it, makes all the difference in the world. All the best to you.

Yeah agree love the hominy! Im from mexico and I'm trying to remember if it had hominy down there, but its been a while i was a small kid like 5 when i last ate it down there , one thing though the menudo in mexico atleast the region where im from (Pacific coast) is the menudo is white not red. I grew up in south texas and yep i like the red menudo with the hominy!

I love menudo and just bought 32 oz from a cafe for $10, the only cafe here rhat sells it on weekends only. I have yet to make it perfect. I get confused because my Memaw added pork neck bones to the initial broth. But will try again this year.

Have to admit I have never heard of it before, but it looks amazing and I just might have to give it a try 🙂

If you ever have the chance to make this make sure uts Mexican oregano and not Greek oregano

I had this with my in laws they are from the motherland Guanajuato, Oaxaca
