Love that cabin! and the underfloor heating was superb, no cold feet in the shower…perfect! I also found it strange there was no hand wash or tea towels!! Only other thing to bear in mind for someone slightly older or with any mobility issues the stairs down to the sauna or up in the roof space are incredibly steep and should be used with care. Incredible holiday space though ❤️

Some visitors have a bad habit to take every possible small item like lighters, glasses, and stuff as a souvenier so even if they are included there is some job to do and check if all items are still there. Finland is in TOP25 recycling countries in the world and similar to UK in % but obvious reasons its bit different in Lapland.

Surprising to hear about the recyckling issues, I thought the same regulations cover all Finland. Perhaps the lady has her own rules :) Maintaining infrastructure gets easily expensive up there, Lapland has a vaste land area larger than Portugal, with only 200K inhabitants.

4:00 is called the blue moment, when the sun sets, everything turns blue. It is much more noticiable because snow reflects light and because sun sets very low angle it lasts much longer in the north.

In Finland, hand sanitizer is not generally used (Covid control was a different story then). More bar soap or liquid soap.

Hi Leanne, if you are staying in central Levi, then yes, everything is available on foot. we stayed about a 5-minute drive outside. We did see some very brave people walking in (mainly locals). Hope that helps, thanks for watching!

Thanks we are looking at the same cabin you stayed in. We have been levi twice and stayed in the Panorama Hotel but want a cabin this time. The one you stayed in looks perfect, but from the video looks hilly down to the town? if its flat that will be fine just dont want to be pulling the children up hill in their sledge ha thanks

U just put your trash and eventually they wll separeted it. Levi is too far from real recycling. But they do i later . Any even minor town do it. It must be this way bc most of the tourists dont know anything about cycling. This is only way. Somebody do it for you. And if u go Lapland. Always keep firesource near with u 🙂 Usually there are matches or lighters. Not always. Have been there like 70 times. Im a Finn so i keep always few things with me even i dont smoke. I can set a fire +1 and heavy rain outside. Must learn it in military service. Well actually i have know how to make fire since i was like 5 year old. Next time prepare.

Omg, who is cycling in Lapland/Levi. In the wilderness in winter? Some cultural misunderstandings maybe?

    Recycling, not cycling
