When reading tough books, I talk it out loud to myself after every couple paragraphs (or even after a single paragraph that’s particularly dense). As if I’m lecturing to someone else. Really helps cement the info And occasionally I get opportunities to explain things I learn to friends when they ask lol

I have used Feynman Technique unconsciously up to now, including the 4th step - finding a "teaching" style (writing articles, making posts on social media, talking with people about what one learned, etc.). Yes, if one wants to really know, the person should convey what he or she knows: talk, write, etc. For now, I prefer making posts because the articles that I published did not receive any response. On social media, I receive various responses, and they help me understand what I really know; in addition, I meet like-minded people here. Yes, we receive knowledge/information according to our character. I would like to understand the following: when I read a text, first I FEEL the text, and then read it again to grasp the INFORMATION. Obviously, sometimes, it takes too much time.

It's cool to hear you've been writing articles and posts, but where on? I'd love to read them

@odysseas__ I published articles in my country, which is far from yours. I would like to publish papers and essays on the Internet so that many people read them and reply to me.

This is a really effective learning technique. However, it takes a lot of labor to complete it correctly. This approach, in my opinion, can be used for philosophical or serious novels. I appreciate the video.

That's true -I'd reserve the creative elements (like articles, videos, etc) for what you are most passionate about and then do smaller things for everything else, like simply rephrasing a passage. And thanks too

What do you think of stream of consciousness writing? Set a timer for 10 minutes, and completely focus your mind on writing non-stop about what you just read. No edits, no major concern for grammar, just 10 minutes between the topic and you. I've found that it's a great tool that forces you to think about what you just read, as it allows you to notice deficiencies in your understanding, and often reveals interesting connections you've already made in your head.

I've heard of this idea a few times and I like it -seems to let you easily pinpoint the parts that resonated and the parts that sounded good in your head, but are actually weak points now that you are forced to articulate them

Thanks aplenty! Very good! Why not to say 'I learned smth from sb' instead of 'I stole it from sb'? Best!
