@@jaylaaavu1430 thank you for the info, I think people should use what works best for them because I use pro styling gel with the proteins and that’s what I’ve been using for years and I love it

When you comb it instead of brushing it you know that's good jam

Not good for ponytails I thought so, it makes your hair look super dry no shine. For me anyway!

Facts I’m only 13 but I do hair I’m not licensed duhhh but my braids come out great but anyways yeah your right if they can’t braid the regular natural state than they are not a real braider but most people come to me with blown out hair I never tell them to their braids turn out the same regardless but I would very much rather them come to me with their natural state rather than them come to me blown out

I actually use them for everything I do that’s protective styles braids faux Locs passion twist stitch braids but if your sensitive or allergic to certain ingredients I can see how that can happen I haven’t ran into that problem tho and I deal with all hair textures for me I have bad dandruff so I can use to much per day on the scalp but on my hair shaft if that make sense

Makira La'nya I totally agree with you I went to a new hairstylist and they use this in my hair my hair was flaky and very itchy I don't care for that product at all never heard of it or never used it before regular shiny jam I have no problem with it but that braid and shine and jam is horrible

I love this product! What I notice is, it doesn’t make my scalp itchy like regular edge control when being applied to my scalp to make slick braids. I’m talkin about the red shine and jam specifically. The other shine and jams will itch me a little or melt.

I absolutely love this stuff

I used that type of shine and jam it is made SPECIFICALLY for PARTING it will hold for a few hours but by the next day the hold will be gone leaving the hair frizzy again

I totally agree. Some products work for the initial stage then later the hair has flyaways and if you don’t tie the hair down or spray a holding spray or put something on top they don’t hold good at all. The uploader for this video is stressing that it works for her and her clients. I just wish content creators would be honest. Why title this video about braids when that’s not what’s shown. We shouldn’t have to go search for other videos as we’re going by the title of this video.🙄😒 So many of them don’t show before, during or after applying. It would be nice to see a unedited video timeline and if the product is holding. That’s too much like right and some are receiving a monetary kickback or free products. Some of these content creators will do anything for clicks and views and it’s unfortunate.🫤😬🙄😒

Ummm a light hold edge control ? Other than that idk trial and error visit your local hair stores and try some out

I differ the red one it has more of a water base the yellow one is better/holds the hair straighter lnger

Mmm you know everyone 4c hair isn’t the same because my hair will eat up cream , I only feel condition between styles but If I wear my natural hair out I definitely will need some hair butter or oil or jam to execute the style maybe I haven’t found the right cream but my hair is dry like 10min later with hair cream lol

Does it turn greasy and soften up afterwards though cause I haven’t bought a jam yet that doesn’t do that, I don’t mind the moisture it gives your hair but I don’t like it softening up ruining whatever I’ve done to my hair especially a slick updo

I use this for braids and faux locs this is not a hard hold for updos I would use something else for slick ponytails

I didn’t use gel or jam for the longest in my hair bc I didn’t like the way it felt on my head and on my hands lol. I use a very small amount now when found protective styles but I have to keep a damp cloth next to me so I can wipe my hands often lol😂

I can't use shine n jam cause there's an ingredient in there that I'm allergic to and it breaks my skin out. Pisses me tf off cause that's probably one of the best products I've used!😞😣
