I am running Optima welding in my 4th gen. His transmission tune is awesome works great in the city. No lugging and down shift sooner so no dragging! And will not go into 6 till 60 100k for me! Pusher rocks brother got it on mine too and intake too! Goodbye intake heater! I am doing 12 Lites to the 100 km! Hiway mountains 14 15 city! 3500 4 door 8ft box! Clean tunes! Love my 2017!

I have pusher intake as well and love it pair that with ict billet grid heater delete and my truck was happy

Running the exact same intake horn. Approaching 700hp...also run the Pusher cold/hot charge pipes as well...with an s366sxe...no shortage of air flow! Good product cam. 👌

Flow per dollar!!! ..you nailed it!! The 5.9 common rail factory air horn REALLY leaves a lot to be desired. But a 5.9 owner has to buy the 6.7 fuel rail (and injector lines) plus the 6.7 grid heater delete intake plate on top of the 6.7 air intake horn in order to see gains like this. So saving the money on the air intake horn leaves some cheddar in the wallet for the fuel rail, fuel lines, and intake plate to be able to use this style intake horn. killer set up and maybe even more so for the 5.9 common rail guys like ME!!

Have this intake on my truck and it's great SWAG keep up the mods man can't wait for the compounds to go in and im guessing upgraded boost piping coming soon

I just installed the banks monster ram with the banks intake plate, and it's the best thing ever.

You are 100% right, ive got the banks 3.5 on my mega and i love it but i do agree that for bargain to performance the one you have is best!

I found that 3-4 years ago just needed some welds cleaned up inside but its very nice for the Price

U are right if u have no need for pre heat

I have that exact same intake manifold on my 2018 ram 2500 and my 2010 ram 2500 and hands down I think it's one of the best intake men on the market especially for the price. I've never had any issues with either of them and to be honest it's the best bang for your buck. And if you don't like the way it looks you can always powder coat it.

Ok so I looked up this part. It’s over a $100 but also it doesn’t say if it fits a 2014. So will this work on my 2014?

Mod according to budget great videos. I personally just bought the bank 4.0 and had to buy boost tubes because OEM wouldn’t match up.

I was going to run the same in my dually 2021 3500 HO but I ended up doing the banks instead and had a custom injector line made for the clearance. It’s AMAZING👌🏾

Nice intake mod, bent feeler gauge is for the Xotic head studs your going to install so you can reset exhaust and intake valve clearance

Banks is the best diesel products out there. All the engineering they do.

At $0.19 per CFM gained versus the Banks $0.95 per CFM gained, I would agree that this is a great overall value. Great video. Always happy to see the UM flag.

hey man! thanks for all your helpful 6.7 ram content! i just purchased a 2015 6.7 and i have an EGR delete kit on the way and want to know if doing mods such as removing the EGR and replacing the intake such as this video, is it preferable to have removed and disabled the dfp def system or that doesn't matter?

I have a 2008 6.7 1 ton and it's my first experience with these pick up diesels and hi po aftermarket parts . I own a detroit 3 cyl turbo in my backhoe and a diesel kabota . I am not aquainted with all these aftermarket parts , but ; the one thing that has always concerned me about modifying my diesels in any way is the way these things produce vibration and shake in a way that gasoline engines never see . I have built and drag raced gas engines and those things can't be compared to modifying a diesel engine when you are dealing with that vibration !!! What I want to express here regarding your intake horn is that even though the construction looks very good on this product , I would be very concerned about running anything on a diesel engine that was welded together like your intake . My concerns may be unfounded , but ; being a welder , I have seen the long term effects that vibration has on welded parts on industrial machinery and an intake manifold being welded together and bolted directly to one of these vibration machines just doesn't strike me as a long term , happy situation !! I would like to know if one of these could take 80 or 100,00 miles on one of these engines without the welds cracking ??!!

Bent feeler gauge is used for Valve adjustment Now ever think of using a torque wrench to adjust the valves? I have do this when ever I adjust valves because doing this will assure that all valves are the same.

No worries man, and I never got a electronic throttle code. Unless your truck is not deleted. If it is ,your tuner needs to disable the throttle valve

Do you need pipe dope on the hardware holing the horn to the block. Do the bolt holes go all the way through and leak if not.?

Would this work with the banks grid heater to get rid of that death bolt?

I live in a colder climate so need the heater grid, will the grid negate the increase in flow?

This May help for people in cold areas Part #: NED AIH101 air heater Nappa $65.49 and a machine shop can install a female thread for you. Works well if you do the grid heater delete. Weld it where the two intake openings meet into a one.

@@farva75089 the electronic connection is just a bolt on eye so yes. You do need to have a fitting welded on to a pusher type intake horn. The heater will connect to that, bolt oem wire to heater. Let your machine shop know to keep the flat connection that bolts on to the plentun cool so it doesn't warp when welding is done.

I just put this intake and grid heater delete on my 4th gen and all the bolts are tight but sounds like it blows boost out somewhere on driver side when I get up around 24lbs of boost? Any advice on what to check? Thanks

What is the make of the new intake manifold

Did the intake horn have a sight bend at the bottom?

Did you do the grid heater delete on this truck too?

My MAP sensor was so clogged it took a whole can of MAF cleaner to get it cleaned with the use of a pick. I couldn't even see the sensor it was built up so much.

I went with Banks, but you are correct that is a very good price $70? Especially if you're just making improvements and not building a race truck.

What about the bust tube/sensor that screws into the elbow I can't seem to find a spot for it

Just get the Banks fuel line that’s made to go around their intake and you won’t have to have the dent that gives you room to go around your pusher intake .

How did you fix the stripped threads in the intake manifold

It’s about proven performance and Gail Banks is the Boss you should have got the Ram air bank’s air horn! Pay for what you get. The dent affects the air flow flowing into the cylinder head. Witch is why I put Banks Ram air intake horn 3.5 on my 4th gen Cummins. But you are right you spend your money on what you can afford. With that said I don’t cut corners on my truck. I want what’s best for performance so I go with Banks!

i don;t cut corners either, banks products arent end all be all. but to each is own.

I have bought abs returned 3 of those things lol none of them are flat on where they mount to the plenum and it results in a boost leak with my boost leak tester. finally got annoyed and went to buy a smeding one that should be day and night!

EFI live question, I have a custom tune efi live and have the CSP5 switch 15 Ram 2500 . I w owned this truck since 2017 , was tuned a year ago has been great I keep it under tune 3. Question is when switching from tunes on the fly does the trans needs a relearn or time to relearn etc ? I’ve read conflicting things over the years on forums , what’s your take on it ?

Any issues with it sucking the MAP sensor o- ring? 6 months installed and 4 O-rings later.

The only thing that concerns me with this style is the fact it doesn’t replace the death nut grid heater fail issue. Granted we can have them tuned and deleted all together but what other option besides banks can we do for direct replacement no tuning needed?

Good video,I'm going with Banks because I'm in California and near his shop so parts and tech service is nearby,plus it's a 50 state application. Unfortunately commiefornia has so many laws on emissions.
