This add-on is useful only for those who want to make cinematics out of msfs, when I play and those rare times I even record the takeoff and landings, I don't even remember to replay the recording to have it captured in video, and when flying planes just to fly, it is not easy to go out to see smoke or water or wheel effects. Also the price is not very friendly, base package cost quite a lot and each Immersion pack will be extra to that. Great for cinematic creators, not much for the rest, imho. Note: 10% off on 2 products is still 10% of the total, not 20% 😁

Strange how simmers WILL DEMAND realism, then when it is delivered, suddenly pass on it and shoot it down. simmers are about all over the place and the next one make this rather a price issue, not a realism issue. because this is absolute realism, even if a bit pricy

Sorry p42 produce some nice addons but to pay for an initial product and then nearly the same price for each airliner that you have as an expansion?? Gets expensive. If it was just one product that was updated for each aircraft I’d get it but not paying extra each time. Bit of a rip off just to have pretty videos.

Great job Gavin. I guess we don't know if MSFS 2024 will make this redundant in some or any ways? True with any add-on I suppose. Very tempting for the Fenix.

People need to settle their expectations lower about 2024. It won't be such a leap like 2020 was from p3d/fsx.

@@GUnit2214 Agree. Just like MSFS 2020, the initial screenshots were not even close to what was actually in the sim on the release date. I have said it before, and will say it again, MSFS 2020 for the most part has been one giant paid beta. MSFS 2024 will be no different. I will hold off for a few months before i dive into the new sim, just like I did when when MSFS 2020 was released.

@@GUnit2214 Really level headed approach! IF it did include any / some of these effects it absolutely would NOT provide the configuration or empower users to tune things for their individual systems. We're simmers, we understand and value the difference between being forced to use a poorly tuned visual effect (any default effect available today) and going completely the other way and having something be as customizable as it is gorgeous. We're not scared, not one bit. It's like custom wheels vs stock steel wheels from the dealership.

what about when you start up th dc 6 from pmdg ? any smoke there?

What's the CPU hit?

Most of the effects you will never see during take offs and landings so what the point to buy? Unless you gonna records all of them and watch the replay just fot the efects

The 777 family, A320 family

Only really suited to content creators on KZread who want to showcase something and of course to up the viewing figures and attract more subscribers, as they show off the cinematics. Very rarely when flying do I spend time viewing outside the cockpit, as I have enough to do inside, being focused on the flying. Its tricky having to pan outside just to capture water droplets or spray. Not much use for the majority I suspect.

Water droplets you can see before and after the flight, there are a couple things you can see from the cockpit. Also effects to vatsim traffic is great since for some reason i cant see tire smoke on them. Price is too much tho

As amazing as it looks, the total cost is almost as much as the fenix a320 itself.

Its nice but the heat blur looks very aweful! They should do working on this!

looks like the real thing, you should also constant airbus and Boeing then to inform them that YOU feel it is not real and "awful", really. the English language is lost on those who speak it. simmers can use words extremely unrealistically, for those who supposedly demands realism

Got this a few days ago, tried it twice, it absolutely tanks my fps, I run a 4070ti, i7 10700k, 32gb ram and use fstl traffic injector, on any setting this brings my sim to almost an unplayable level, deleted it, waste of money, it needs badly optimising Edit “ I use the fenix a320”

Gav, far too expensive for something that is going to maybe be obsolete come November, £20 for the two packs then OK but NOT at current price, besides not many of us use outside views, we are too busy setting up for the flight or flying.

With msfs2024 release just at the corner, purchase of such add-ons makes no sense

Small niggle/correction: two items each with 10% discount - overall discount is still 10%! Otherwise, by buying 1o items at 10% discount, you might expect 100% discount ie free! Wouldn't that be great!!

I’d probably buy SimFX if Parallel42 weren’t being so greedy and pushing macro transactions through it instead of including these effects packs as part of SimFX. Rather put me off them as a company.
