Ойын-сауық
The latest trailer for MSFS 2024 was released over the weekend and it sure does look inviting. There is lots to take away from the video and lots of questions that it has brought up. Personally, I think you'll love it from what we can see. In this video, I go through the things you might have missed that should convince you to puchase it when it is released.

Was about to write the same… nothing matters more than performance which is the main and primary problem the sim has today. We really need info on multithreading capabilities. I wouldn't hold your breath about the skyscrapper night lights. It's the one limitation of photogrammetry that it can't render PBR materials, so for rural that's ok because they can strip back and layer on extra details, but urban areas is much more difficult.
I think many of those scenes are cut scenes like what you have with MSFS2020 when you are getting the "ready to fly" message and the animated cut scenes.

Agree with you on GSX, It's crashed so many times for me now I don't even use it, it is total crap. Not interested in MSFS 2024 they are turning it into an Xbox game rather than the flight simulator it started off as, missions etc are of no interest, I only fly airlines.
What I would love to see is a joint venture with other simulations. Imagine driving your bus to see another player driving the train at the station that I stop at. The train driver can get our of his train and steer a bus that was left at the bus stop or that the bus to get to his next train. Looking up at the sky you see real players flying the commercial flights, maybe even go to the airport to take a flight yourself. While you prepare your flight for departure there are real players loading the bags or fuel you requested. When you fly over the sea you see fishing boats by players at sea. They bring the fish to the harbour and offload it to a real player driving the lorry. And if somewhere in the chain there is no player online a bit takes over. Including dispatching for each of the entities by real players or bots.

I'm hoping that they keep the promise of improved load times. I know it's a "first world problem" but I dislike having to wait 3-4 minutes minimum for the simulator to load into the main menu. I wouldn't mind so much if the wait was after I'd chosen what I want to do, because then I could just "fire and forget" and come back in a few minutes with it ready to go but no... I have to wait, set up, then wait again.
Nice video. What would be thr system requirements. Also would the legendary 747 be a part of this package. Please share your thoughts. Thanks
Looks great but 2 things worry me, I'm already using over half my 1tb memory on 2020 so would i have to remove it or get a bigger memory and what happens to products bought in the marketplace if this is a stand alone product how they might be moved to 2024

Did you mean storage space? Its always a good idea to get as massive a SSD or HD as you can afford. Too much space is always nicer to have than too little. FS24 will be optimized better to take up less room. However after that how much it uses depends on how many mods you have. MS have said that many addons will work with 2024. As a bonus the new Bing terrain that FS24 is getting will be streamed to FS20 also!
yes im getting
Will they have GSX’s gate guidance feature by default?
Like with some of those apparent third party integrations, I would love to see native functionality for customizing panels and swapping between various avionics packages. I don’t care if they are in-store add-ons or if they’re part of the purchase price. It would just be nice to be able to do that without having to go to a third party to get a certain navigator and having that navigator only work for a few planes. Also, if anyone with magical coding wizardry exists out there, please make a KLN GPS add on. Many people are still flying those, and it would be nice to get to practice legacy avionics that are something other than the Garmin 430.
It took me a lot of patience and nerve to upgrade to GSX 3. And people complain about the simulator's updater itself! Honestly if I could get rid of GSX for an in-built mod, I gladly would. I'll join you on that one. I'm very glad FS will provide for an A330; I certainly hope the A320 will still be there as well. Also, we're still waiting for the A350 and A380 :) Chances are, with the FS24 announcement, developers just stalled what they were doing, FBW included, and will resume when the devs' kit for 24 is efficient enough. So... not in 2024. In the meantime, Inibuild aircrafts seem the most logical expectation for the base models so far.
It appears there will be a lot more Physics added to MSFS 2024 (e.g. smoke/mist, "do not remove" tags fluttering, hot air balloons)? This will help with visuals and realism (and remove an advantage that XP11/XP12 has over MSFS 2020).
I am cautiously optimistic; still want to see pricing and hardware requirements. Want better VR support.
Will there be a replay function??
I need to know what the machine specs are before I decide whether to buy it. It doesn't matter how good all these new features are if I can only get it to crawl along at 10 fps.
Haven’t watched the video yet so I’ll delete it if it’s answered but do we know the price yet and if not what would you think it would be( flight sim 2020 was a lot for me)
I'm very excited, however as always I urge caution from all. These trailers are obviously made to accentuate the best and cover up the worst as we all know. Where there are real liveries from real airliners, there will only be a handful. I would be shocked if there was anything like the kind of numbers we see in something like FSLTL. Where I am VERY cautious is this mission structure. I adore the idea, but I don't want the structure to resemble the landing challenges and one-off missions we have currently, I want career paths. I want a campaign mode. I want everything you do to mean something, I don't want it to simply be for score, after which you move on to some completely different type of flying mission for more score. I want this to be essentially a living, breathing world to inhabit, and for you to find your place within it. Something like Air Hauler 2, but with whole branches worth of career choices besides simply owning an air haulage firm and being able to fly as a pilot too. Someone, can't remember who, said they wanted Euro Truck Simulator but for planes. That's the kind of idea I'm hoping for, except I want more than that too. More than just haulage. I want to be a stunt pilot, a test pilot, an air medevac pilot, I want to be as many kinds of pilots as possible and I want a fully fleshed out career model for all of it. Please god I hope they are not just giving us one-off single missions with little to no actual meaning besides achieving a score on some online leaderboard on a server. Please put me at ease if you know better than me, but I haven't said Asobo clarify at all what this will all entail. All I've seen them say is that you can fly as different types of pilot, commercial flying, stunt flying, whatever. I have NOT heard them say, even once, that any kind of career path will be possible, which leads me to believe they are banking on me believing the sim will be something it turns out not to be in the end. And then when I say, on November 20th, that this isn't the sim I expected, they and other players will say "they never said it was going to be like that". It happens all the time in this industry. They may not have said it, but their promos certainly IMPLY it. I just hope that either they HAVE confirmed it's more than just one-off missions and I missed it, or that they have enough good sense not to violate my good faith and trust, which I have generally built-up in them over the last 3 or 4 years. I also believe you may be able to do even more than simply piloting, but at the very least may also be able to sail too. I would like to see career paths for sailing too.
👌🏻
Here's the scoop. They're not missions as far as I know, they are a part of the sim. This was designed by Paul Lange from ACES studios for FS11 which was called "something to do" way back in 2010. Dovetail Games implemented a rudimentary version of the concept for Flight Simulator World, but Asobo appears to have refined it. The original design was you drive to the airport, you get out of your car, walk to the aircraft and do a pre-flight walk around. It's actually integrated into the sim, you choose your aviation 'career' path. FSW from memory you had to complete each step along the way to get to the next level and progress. From these trailers it looks like the whole system has been fully implemented and done the way Paul envisioned.
I'm excited for it, my PC not so much.
It’s looking good so far, can’t imagine aerosoft are happy seeing inibuilds making an a330 too lol. you never know it might give them a kick up the ass to make their product better, after all there will need to be a good reason to pay for their model when inibuilds are making a good default one.
Day 1 for sure.
the new trailer look stunning and I love the new mission based approach (I fly A Pilots Life and NeoFly all the time as is :)). My main concern was and remains the compatibility of all the 3rd party mods from 2020 and and any upgrade fees 3rd party vendors might charge.
How do you get your clouds to look like that thats a wow moment too
I'm also very worried that it will be too havy on performance for those of us with moderate systems.

Hi Gavin. Why MSFS not recording my flying hours anymore? Whst can I do please 🙏 . Thanks as always.
Better performance. Of course there does come a time when better hardware is a way forward to improving you own experience. But the minimum specs are very low for MSFS 2024, however that will be on low to medium settings. I just hope that the new code will take away some of the stutters, also the micro pauses that occur as the simulator caches in the "geographical" "tiles", so to speak, as we fly from mountains, to open countryside then suburben areas at low level during the appraoch phase, which is an absolute immersion breaker for many. Many stutters can be the cause of poor internet as we stream in the landscapes from the servers, but I am hoping they optimise that side too.
I would have liked to see some more of the storms/tornados and supercells in the game. Will have to wait i gess.
I wonder if we will be able to copy and paste our current add-ons into MS2024?

I'll wait for your review. I'd like to see DirectX 12, multi-threading and FSR fully supported. And I really hope it's not Game Pass only.
They MUST provide the minimum decent features this time: - realistic flight model - ILS and visual landing aids OK Because in 2024 a simulator where crosswind landing is still unaccurate with PAPI not correct over an ILS leading you in the terrain is unacceptable ! Beauty and other features can't compensate this. And I hope they don't keep the exact old code which comes from FSX in 2007 that makes people require a war machine PC to handle the sim ! Weather radar capability is also very welcome.
The current version works great for me, it would be nice to need less add ones but based on how it was when 2020 first came out I’m kinda nervous about the quality control and maybe not a day one release purchase for me might wait for the first round of updates
You know, I have seen the trailer a few times, I finally caught something during the Monument Valley scene. There is a bird that flies away. We will have birds default in the sim, we won't need addons for that anymore.

Apparently they are. Just found that out myself.
@talon5368
14 күн бұрын
This is actually not 100% accurate. Asobo has said addons from the Marketplace “should” work, but they also will not guarantee anything. They further said that it will be on the individual developers to update their products for the new sim. Furthermore, they will be sending the SDK to developers to give them the opportunity to update. While this does mean your current addons should work in the new sim, it also suggests that the developers could charge an upgrade fee or charge for the addon again if they so choose. From a developer’s view, it makes a lot of sense financially to charge at least an update fee. From a consumer view, it’s a disappointment. I would be cautiously optimistic at this point
I hope they improve the responsiveness of the UI.
As not seen in this video but in other videos, I saw the label "Azure AI". I wouldn't be surprised if there will be a deluxe or a pro version with a monthly fee to get the "Azure AI" feature as an AI feature will not be for free.

I’m just not seeing a reason to leave FS2020. This looks like an arcade game. I don’t want an arcade game, I want a sim. I don’t care about missions or career progression as this is not Call of Duty. Asobo/Microsoft are pushing away the simmers in favor of the casual gamer. X-Plane is superior in every way
@jeluna

💯 my opinion as well! I'm feeling uncomfortable with this new casual and fun concept. I want a "Adobe CC Suite" like Sim, the pro and hardcore side, not the "Playstore Photo and Editing Apps" like concept we now see, the very casual, fun, colorful, game ish, teen ish, etc!
the scene with the Cub has nothing to do with missions because it was in the "Explore the world" section of the trailer
Something that I didn't like is that it doesn't seem like they improved the lighting of the airports, the xplane 12 in lighting looks better than the msfs2020, and another thing it seems that the clouds still have a low volume which makes them look very transparent
I want the missions to be dynamic so theyre not the same 6-8 missions or same areas over and over
I don’t even want to do a walk around in real life, imagine in the sim 😂😂😂
There's so many details in the trailer than many of them just get missed. Like the bobbing ships in the ocean, going to be challenging landing a heli there. The camera also, you're going to have to move to take shots right. Careers have multiple aircraft, so is that progression built in. It's sad that you are not into the aviation activities. Try not to think of these as missions but opportunity to try other forms of flying. If you are going to stick to airlines, that's such a shame, hopefully you'll try some and post videos! 👍
What has happened to the cockpit builders. I bought 2020 on the expectation that I could integrate it with my cockpit build. I wasn’t able to remove or move around parts of the aeroplane to achieve this as per X-Plane. I’m still waiting on that promise from ASOBO…. Will this be integrated into the 2024 version? I hope so….
day one for me!
MSFS promo videos have been pure fiction since MSFS 2002. We only really know when it's released. We'll buy it anyway in the hope that it will fix issues from last 2020 update. I'm hoping it doesn't brick too much of my payware.
Can they guarantee all our payware will move across? If not then no rush . It's going to be buggy as hell for a long time 😅
Well re: GSX and Rex Accuseasons there is a chance that Asobo has integrated those in the sims instead of developing them. Time will tell. The sim looks beautiful, there is no doubt about that but there are big questions about the compatible add ons. I know Asobo said that, ‘virtually’ everything on marketplace should work without additional development (even though the developers have a choice to update their add ons with the new SDK) the big question is what about add-ons purchases via external stores or markets? I got plenty of things I purchased direct from the developer markets or other publisher markets and not marketplace because of sales and discount they run in the past so we need to know about those. Finally, we need clarity about performance. Despite having a I910k CPU and a 3080 I experience stutter and fps issue using NVIDIA recommended settings. Asobo said that MSFS 2024 will make better use of memory and CPU multi core and multi thread but this is something we have to see for ourselves. Day 1 purchase for me (even though I have game-pass) because I am interested in the top version of the package (deluxe, or whatever it will be called).
It certainly looks amazing, but I think I’ll hold back awhile and see how the eager buyers fare with this. I can’t help thinking that we’ll go through the same process as MSFS2020 whereby we’ll have years of bug fixes and updates before it’s mature. Ultimately this is the future though and we can’t stand still, so I’ve not doubt I’ll make the transition especially if it includes so many of the features that we’re paying for as addons right now.
I bought msfs2020 at the start if this year, just to make myself feel like it was worth, im probably going to wait a year or before I'll get 2024

This is really fantastic And only flying airliners in this sim is getting boring. Flying airliners only is degrading the enjoyment I get out of the sim. There are so many other aviation aspects we should try. What a time to be a simmer
Walk around and finding defects!! 😂😂😂 Imagine finding a loose rivet in the engine cowl and saying “Nope, not taking that!” Then spending the next hour going to a different aircraft and delaying your day by an hour or two. 🙈
I'm keeping my expectations low personally. Fingers crossed its great, but come on, its gaming.
Why would you believe they'd release it August? This is a major corporation. They just release it based on their time table and not ours. Lol
Trailers always look better than the sim . Watch 2020 trailer and ask your self , does my sim look and work like it?
Are we assuming there are NO addons in these clips?…
The reason we can be sure it isn’t the Aerosoft A330 is that it will be finished by November 19th. 😈
Graphics is the last thing they need to work on it looks great already. What we need is a proper ATC for IFR airline simmers. I really hope it's not a copy and paste. I'm on xbox series x, so we don't get all the good mods that pc players get. Therefore, we deserve the right to complain a little more.
It looks very promising. The elephant in the room for me is will it run on my PC and what internet speed will I need. But I hope I will be able to outrun the elephant.

I think the things like walk around / passengers (if they end up in the simulator) will require one of the higher cost packages. With so many high quality 3rd party aircraft around - just offering a greater range of stock aircraft for the higher versions might not be enough to tempt people to upgrade.
This is going to batter everyone’s CPU

Lol sounds like Richard Hammond.
I think I will wait and see the "real" system requirements, and the real capabilities other than fancy textures and etc. Then I will decide. As a simmer since FS4 I can easily say MSFS2020 is less system hungry for what it offers. However, it also has the worst support system.
if they make a pc version I might upgrade, never buying an xbox port again - horrendous performance if you're a pc user (even on high end rigs)
As said before: Day One Purchase.

As a casual sim pilot, I sometimes go weeks between flights. And it is incredibly frustrating, that I am often asked to insert a disk. I have missed more flights because I could not get my Premium Deluxe edition to run than I was able to fly than I have actually flown. Since SU 15, my Fenix does not render a its hull nor do the controls react to mouse clicks. For the most expensive piece of software on my computer even without counting the add-ons I bought, the instability and especially the terribly coded copy protection are inacceptable. So, will I buy MSFS 2024? No. Unless they guarantee (e.g. by trusting their customers) that it works even if I leave it be for a few weeks, this is a colossal waste of money and an insult.
Personally, I’m not impressed. For the main reason that FS2020 was supposed to be the final version with updates as necessary. For those of us who forked out good money to get 2020, including numerous add ons, having to do this again for the next version is not welcome at all. It’s issues like this which made me give up on flightsimming with FSX many years ago.
Never mind all this other gimmickry, just fix the bloody stutters!
