I've ordered the Hoka Challenger GTX in preparation of this winter which is supposed to be very harsh in Western North Carolina.

Could I ask you how you're finding them please? I've tried the regular Challenger and also the Speedgoat and find that they are both very slippery in the mud come the rainy season. If you don't mind please, is the Challenger GTX version really better in slippery wet conditions? Hope you're enjoying those North Carolina trails!!
