I absolutely love Rush Duel, and even if it is only in a digital format (for now) I'm glad we're finally seeing some form of proper western release after so many years. Here's hoping we can see a physical release at some point, though I'm also content to just keep the Japanese cards I have as a novelty; based on how some OCG rarities like Premium Gold Rare and Collector's Rare have turned out when brought over to the TCG, it wouldn't surprise me if we also ended up getting worse versions of Rush Duel's foils.

Fun fact: graceful charity is a pot dealer and smuggles them along with the delinquent duo

This will need a part 2 in the future, ORR Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon is gorgeous. Dark Magician or Dark Magician Girl might get an ORR in Megaroad 2.

Even more the effect layout is better, telling you the requirement’s and the effect [requirement:] discard two cards [Effect:] draw two cards It clearly states the cost and effect, honestly wouldn’t be mad if they just made master duels next master rule rush rules

I wish this was in the tcg sure we have speed duels but it would be neat to have another play format

Yep, I feel like it could work in the same way they’ve been releasing the Speed Duel cards with just being boxes you can use to build decks or even try drafts with.

Yeah, it always REALLY bothered me how BMG's original artwork was so zoomed in compared to the rest of her card artworks released later on that said, my favorite is still the one from that Tin during the GX era (I think)

it might be possible that rush duels coming to duel links is meant to see how well rush duels will do here in the west and if it is received well enough they might bring the physical card game to the west

@GatorEXYGO rush duel has monsters that are exclusive to it, 1 group of monsters is the dian keto monsters, the dian keto monsters are younger versions of the old lady dian keto seen on the dian keto spell card

You mentioned Upstart Goblin being hard to see from a distance; as a kid, I actually never even saw the 2nd person at all! Because the shirt was green, I assumed it was the goblin's stomach. He was a LITTLE overweight

I’d love to see a sequel to this, particularly on the weird thing that Rush Duels did where they…. Just…. Made a bunch of old cards into partyers. That kinda thing is so funny to me.

It's actually a hilarious archetype-wide joke that ties in slightly with the Sevens anime and specifically Mimi's character. The series of cards is directly inspired by the economic bubble of the Japanese economy in the 80s, one of the most important time periods of their recent history and culture and one of the underlying zeitgeist about the era is the popularity of disco and the sort of lavish spending associated with that party scene (a famous piece of mainstream media that takes place in the economic bubble would be Yakuza 0, to give an example of what the culture was apparently like). The series of retro monsters taking on the Bubble Era aesthetic is directly referencing that time period and the joke in Sevens is that Mimi was trendy and acts into that culture but is viewed as outdated nowadays with her dialogue peppered with outdated slang and behavior (extra weird is that canonically she shouldn't have even grown up in that time period - being 37 she would have only been an elementary schooler by the time the bubble burst but don't think too hard about it). And when she first summons her Bubble Era monsters, there's an exchange where Luke says he vaguely recognizes the monsters and Gakuto describes them as "previously famous."

For me the redrawn artwork of classic monsters is the biggest draw, not to knock new designs but older monster designs have a occult/DnD style to them which I love and getting to see clearer images of them is great.

Man I wish the rush duel game actually got updates outside of Japan.

Konami is sitting on a gold mine by only having this game more in Japan.

@@GatorEXYGO as an I. I remember that when Invasion of Chaos came out I didn't care about any card except Levia. Sadly, it wasn't until years later that I finally got to tame the oceanic snek chungus.

I was a little disappointed with the Red-Eyes extended Rush rare, but Black Dragon's Chick is absolutely FIRE

Hell, I'll go one step further: Over Rush Rare *should have been* the 25th Anniversary Secret Rare. Borderless rare variant cards were a request that Yugioh fans have had for decades, and it's currently the only major TCG to not have that in their game...except in Rush Duel.

I prefer the classic card layout, it feels more classic and timeless, much like Magic's or even Hearthstone's cards (despite it being a digital game). Rush Duel's card layout looks way too flat, digital and modern in a bad way, the refreshed card art however, is amazing.

Magic's layout changed A LOT over the years and they're still experimenting with it.

Maybe I'm old, but "glow up" still doesn't sound normal to me.
