My favorite swag found was a red plastic elephant key. When I was young my grandmother would take the whole family to the Philadelphia Zoo and they had these boxes at each animal's enclosure and you would put the elephant key in and a voice recorder would tell you all about the animals. All the cousins would fight over who got to use the key and over the years it disappeared so when I found one in a cache I was a super excited adult and my husband and I went back to the zoo so I could use it.

I don’t see many path tags in the wild either... but I love it too!

I keep a backpack full of coins, seashells, marbles, $.25 machine toys, different plastic figures, rocks, and other little things to fill up caches I visit. I always leave a lot more than I trade for, if I decide to actually take anything, and so far my favorites have all been coins, and calling card/signature items. There was a cacher who came by a series at a creek nearby a few years ago who left little plastic dinosaurs with googly eyes glued on, and their tag on the stomach. I kind of wanted to save all of them, given the (Abandoned for many years) state some of the caches were in, but I only took 1 since I didn't want to be greedy. That, and a small fuzzy chicken someone made are the only items I've actually kept, and they now sit on my bookshelf with different rocks, and fossils I've found, and collected.

I always try to stuff a cache with more swag than I found it with too. Especially ones I think kids are finding because it always makes it more like a treasure 😊 I LOVE finding signature items!! Even things that seem goofy. I've seen a lot of cachers say their stuff they make isn't very good or they wish they could buy personal items..... BUT if I can tell you put love into whatever it is then I love it! Dinos are one of my favorite things 😱😱😱 it would have been hard for me not to take them all either!!! As well as I love chickens! They are almost the same things 😝 at least my chickens think they are crazy strong prehistoric predators 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

I have hidden some pretty interesting stuff in my de. My favorite is probably a noise maker in the shape of a kangaroo that chirp whenever you shook it. It made a horrifically annoying noise but children loved it. I hit it in an ammo can and made the entire log about how I was trying to seal this cursed artifact away for all eternity. As far as finding things goes, I love anything video game-related and McDonald's toys.

Ahhhh!!! That sounds so magical and amazing omgosh 😱😱😱 some where still today some parent is trying to pass it along to another kid so they don’t have to listen to that lol 😂 I would be so excited to find that and read the log!!!!! Ali loves finding McDonalds toys too and I haven’t found any video game stuff yet but that would be rad!

Lots of cool swag. I should perhaps check out my local dollar store someday.

Yes! I love the dollar store. I’ve found so many cool swag there, but mostly I do amazon. And you have that amazing store so you probably don’t need to go to the dollar store!

Nice swag! I need to make a trip to the dollar store and pick up some swag. My bag is pretty low. There’s a local cacher who always hides a $2 bill in his caches for the FTF. I always enjoy trying to grab those, hehe

Owwwww that is super cool! I would LOVE the find that! We have a couple locally that puts coins at the caches that they find. It’s always 🌾 pennies or new coins that have never been circulated. It’s amazing 😱😱😱

I've only been caching for a few weeks. Most of the caches I've found are micros or too small to hold swag. Hoping to find some bigger caches when fall comes and the weather is nicer to do bigger hikes. I'm an artist so I like to leave little clay or art pieces I made when I can and also some kids toys that my kids have outgrown

Yay! Welcome to the Geocaching life 😋 I don’t know if you utilize the search area on Geocaching.com to find bigger ones but that’s how I find some good big ones that are not always hiking ones 😊 although waiting til it isn’t so darn hot to get those is a great idea! The weather has been hot and raining everyday here and it’s killing me lol 😱😱😱I would just die if I found one of your art pieces!!!! That is so darn cool!!!!

Most of the containers around here have terrible swag. It is usually all dirty broken old toys. I love finding path tags or other personal swag items like that, so far I’ve only found two 2 path tags and 1 wooden nickel.

Cool stuff. I usually don't grab SWAG. Most caches I find are too small for any SWAG. Then when I do find one in need of SWAG, it's not with me. It's in the car. Ugh!

I try and find stuff even for the smallest caches 😝 but lately I have been getting a lot of virtual sand bison tubes. And no matter how hard I try I can not find anything to fit in those little buggers 😆 I hate when I leave my stuff in my car!!! I’m terrible for that, so now I shove stuff in my pockets before caching as well as try and have my backpack. And sometimes I still forget something!!! 😭

"Ripped it open!!!" Yep, I noticed that. That Sumo Wrestler looked very uncomfortable. The train is great. Nice stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Cool swag, cool grandparents. We have stores over here, very similar called poundstretcher, I think I need to pay them a visit. My 7yr old loves the swag side of geocaching and the best thing she had picked up was a harmonica and a fidget spinner from the same cache. I had to put a few more things in to equal the value.

Owww I love the name poundstretcher!! 😮😮😮 makes it sound even cooler!! I love to put swag because I know so many kids who love the swag part. I know adults who do too, but seeing kids get excited is the best!! I would love to find a harmonica! That is a good find!!!!

Cool swag. I'm going to need to go shopping soon. Most of the swag I have been using is stuff I have collected here and there, but most of it is stuff the boys no longer play with. Some I bought as well. My box is getting a little light. I also thought of keeping my eyes open at yard sales; might be able to pick up a box of small stuff pretty cheap. I keep some stuffed animals in the back of my vehicle for those larger caches (not many around my area, but I have some on my list in case I find myself close).

I use stuff Ali doesn’t want too! Lol 😂 I find most of my swag on Amazon or 5 Below. I never thought of yard sales before but now I’m going to be stopping!!!

im very new tothe game but so far my favorite swag was a portland timbers pin ....but i am working on a first "hide" that is going to be a pirates treasure theamed that will be hidden on the beachfront by the river here in portland oregonit will have "fake gems, fake pirate coins...but somewhere inside and noted i nthe description will be a actual foriegn coin attached to the log book holder.
