I like that the Devs are active with the community like this. Shows they care about their actual game and not only about their paychecks (wich ofc everyone does).

It is genuinely incredible how much effort was put into this by the devs and the community, can't wait to see more of this!

When the core fell in first fight and it started falling directly onto allies ny breath caught in my throat But then it rolled to the side down hill and i breathed out in relief…. Then i busted out laughing as their base collapsed xD What a roller coaster ride!

Just here to say this is the best looking one so far. You can see exactly what all of the players have selected all at once, what they're looking at, etc., all very clearly, and that 60 FPS is just so buttery smooth.

More forts please! Really miss all your forts videos. But enjoy you playing it more than the tournaments

Finally nameplates for forts!!!!! that is such a huge improvement for viewing, love it already! here some additions after watching the whole video: the overlay looks quiet good, though its missing some marking that a team already won one point (maybe thats what the star near the progress bar is supposed to do?). and maybe disable the firearcs and mouse cursors? its a bit too noisy seeing all that, when there is already so much going on

It is so nice to see another non-live-stream forts video on this channel again. How i have missed this. I am so glad it is back, if even for a one-off.

Wow! The production value of this is amazing. Really looking forward to more league matches. I do hope the overlay can be a bit bigger in the future though; it's fairly difficult to read on mobile (edit: specifically the resources, the rest is great)

Cleanest overlay and UI on Forts tournament I saw so far, huge improvement from the last one.

I missed these super clean 60 fps with the last hit replay types of videos, that doesn't mean I don't like the longer streams (love to have those to watch in a lazy afternoon), but still, nice to see them coming back a bit.

nameplates! \o/ heckin' finally we get some nameplates and core health that's actually visible! my wild take on the UI: - the goal to see better what players are actually doing is worth pursuing (lower the entry barrier for new people to actually understand what is going on). the 200 APM player curser updating once per second is not helping, maybe limit it to showing the firing arc UI (this gives the viewer a heads-up about what's happening instead of sudden explosions) and if that would indicate off-screen as well, that'd be great. maybe a different way of showing what players are doing would be interesting, like a quick overview about buildings each player has or has just placed or is currently aiming. there's a line between "you see everything by just looking at a base" and "now you have the base on screen a second time, we essentially see spreadsheets fighting (think about eve-online for a second)" to answer the question of "why is this polybridge exploding" - name/core plate could in most cases be offset to a place in the ground where it cannot be in the way of anything. I guess this overlay is a mod of some sort, I hope the devs somehow integrate that properly and let map makers pin that info to a specific place near the core this is getting more than I planned to write on it, but I love the direction this is going and I believe tournaments are great to attract players and the easier it is to understand what's happening, the more players we get in the community. my "inspiration" is essentially based on starcraft and eve-online tournament UI also: good job on pronouncing DerBenzinpreisvergleicher, I don't think it's necessary for him to shorten the name anymore (or would that break UI? :D). time for new german names on the field!

I'm new to everything that I've just witnessed yet I have an appetite to be part of this creative destruction.

I'm really interested in Forts esports leagues! I'm only afraid that after a season or two the top players will have figured out a stable meta of you always take this commander and do this build order and that trickles down as the agreed upon "best" way to play Forts.

The league will be going for approx 4 months, and a selection of the round robin matches will be cast by Incurus like this one. The status of the league will be tracked on the Challengermode website (link in description)

That also caused some Germans to create YT/Twitch channels with constant/daily Forts content (Goldspammer, Salzwerk, Armordillo, DankeMerkel, Der Goldjunge) and recently again also bigger content creators like Bonjwa, Pietsmiet, and a lot others (together with the named ones) are streaming and creating videos. So there is a solid German Forts community now and growing.

sometimes, watching such recordings of matches, I am convinced that I play better than these "professional players". Seriously, who builds a defense like that at all? There is no need to talk about the construction of the foundation - everything is incredibly bad. Although, in any case, it's fun to watch (at least as a novice battle, lol)

Just would like to give some feedback, I like the infographics, but the labels on top of the forts are way to large when zoomed out, they cover half the forts wich I think is kind of annoying. All we really need is a number and the corresponding name in the bottom graphics, the oldschool core health percentage on the core was fine. And the blinking mouse pointers are really, really distracting, while they don't really add much in my opinion.

Why are they all german tho🤔

that reactor HP UI is way too intrusive, can't see anything. very obnoxious given it's relatively useless info, when the core is under attack it's like over. maybe try having it only show up temporarily any time the core takes damage.
