Beautiful footage!
I respect Earwan's efforts in featuring the food culture in every regions of the Philippines. It somehow gives us an idea on how we could expand a possible market from his point of views.
Thanks Erwan and the rest of FEATR team for featuring my hometown, Bikol. Im proud of how popular our dishes are esp pinangat, kinunot and bikol express that even our German Head Chef in the company im working here in NZ knows our Bikol express. Keep featuring other regions food specialties to promote more of our Filipinos dishes.

I heard someone say bicol express isn't really invented in Bicol, but in Pampanga instead. Can someone clear this up?
Not an ordinary food vlog. Well researched and well produced. I hope you can also feature food in Albay.

Thank you very much
As a Bicolano, growing up, I thought gata is the default ingredient for all the vegetables because we eat with it everyday. Not until I worked in Manila where I usually get served disappointingly bland and uncreamy gata dishes so I resort to meat ones instead.
I had no idea that other parts of the Philippines does not use coconut cream in their dinuguan. That's mind blowing to me.
There are other Bicolano dishes that you should try, Tinutungan, Ginataang Kamias and Ginataang Santol. They are not well known like laing but they give so much flavor.
Bicolano food is fire! My mother in law who is Bicolano cooks the best Ginataang Santol. It’s not so mainstream but the world should have a taste of it!
Thank you for this! ❤ from a Sorsoganon.. also, I have a theory that the use of coconut became predominant in Bicol because of a larger group of Indians inhabited this region in ancient times.. it's primarily vegetarian and spiciness, with just tweaks for the seafood we have in the region, and other meat for the local palette.. you will recognise the Indian genes on most Bicolanos
I just love how Erwan narrates and explain everything! So informative! Di ka magsasawang panoorin ang mga vlog niya
Proud bicolana here watching from HK💖
I was born and raised in Legazpi City. Thank you Erwan for highlighting that legit Bicol express is mostly "BALAW" and not the canned coconut cream we see on tv or other food vlogs. 👏👏👏
Really really good content about Bicol, specifically Naga City. Thanks for visiting my hometown Erwan and team! 👌
Hello everyone 🙋♀ My husband Ricky born and raised in Calpi Bulan Sorsogon and I'm really looking forward FEATR will be featured the beautiful Sorsogon City in the near future please 🙏 Thank You sooo much Sir Erwan for sharing this wonderful, peaceful and beautiful place in Naga City 🙏🙏 🙌🙌Keep safe everyone 🙌🙌
Should've tried the dinuguan more. I think Bicol has the best version of dinuguan. It's creamy and not too sour unlike the other versions in the north.

Great content thank you for featuring my home province. As a Bicolano masakit sa mata yung ginamitan ng water based ang pagluto ng Laing at Kinunot it should be gata lahat, first is dapat ang gamitin is yung pangalawang piga then second is yung unang piga hanggang magmantika siya. Iba kasi lasa ng coconut cream or any preserved gata kumpara sa freshly squezzed na gata.

Lumbôd (Buko)- For salads, can be eaten raw since the coconut meat is so soft and sweet. Sunó- For kakanin pwedeng pang garnish sa kutsinta kasi juicy pa sya. Lukádon- Pangkakanin Laya- Yan yung pang-gulay talaga, dyan mo makukuha yung tinatawag nyo sa tagalog na Kakang Gata. Yung unang piga yun yung coconut cream. Yung pangalawang piga yun yung coconut milk. 👌 also Erwan, coconuts are natural laxative so please don't drink raw coconut cream/milk sasakitan ka ng tyan. lol.
kinunot is so underrated i swear to god.
Been searching for a food vlogger that features unique dishes from different parts of the Philippines, and finally stumbled upon your channel. Thanks a bunch and please continue doing these kind of content Sir.
I am from here in New York City but born in Bikol ( Ligao City ) and I WILLL NEVER EXCHANGED our bikolano dishes AT ALL as my topmost favorite dishes....ERWAN I am your no 1 fan of your blogging...you are very good in presenting each topic your getting into...suwabe and good looking guy too hehe...kudos Anne.... many more blogs to come 🙏
Filipino people should consume more contents like this. Just saying
We have a farm in Bicol filled with coconut trees. I go there to drink coconut water and eat coconut meat. We will bring the rest to our house for buko salad and coconut milk purposes. You can’t beat fresh coconut, especially if it’s in the coastal area.

Thanks for doing this Erwan. There's not a lot of Bicolano culinary representation in Filipino restaurants in Calgary and Montreal (Canada-wide even), so it's to see what other gems we're missing.
The traditional Pinangat (it actually reminded me of lasagna but in a leafy version😂) and Laing that has this drier texture..makes me hungry. Its the best I've eaten in Bicol.
that is bicol region… pili, coconut milk, and sili are the stars of bicolano cuisine… thank you for showing it Erwan…hope you could visit the other provinces..😁
Super love all your videos featuring bicol that’s my home place. Watching all those videos makes me wanting to go back home. Watching from canada
Very informative, when I visited a remote place in Mindanao, as a bikolano, I cooked kinunot because of abundance of pagi in that place, the natives ask for more....ubos lahat..
try our sinigang fish' which we called 'Cosido' 😁✌️
Bicol is definitely on my to go list for the cuisine for a long time now.

I'm a Bicolano and now staying in Makati, I'm from Naga City. My problem here in Makati is the price of the nyog. So expensive...we usually use 3 coconuts to cook for a single dish. We love a creamy, and oily dishes...hahaha
Thank you so much Sir Erwan for featuring our place.🥰Im so gratefull that I am Bicolana
I enjoy this new series a lot Erwan! The ube episode was also great...when I see the delicious bicol express I feel like cooking (and eating) immediately :)
That’s authentic Bicol Express right there. Lots of balao, sili, and pork is just “garnish” or sahog.
thank you for featuring bicolano food!! from kinalas to pinangat 😍 my mom and dad are experts in cooking laing, kinunot, kinalas, and bicol express too. It's always sold out here in our carinderia 😊
Loving bicolano authentic dishes ❤❤❤
You should visit Camalig next time. You should try pinangat there as well. They make the best Pinangat and Inulukan.
Camarines Su's "pinangat" is actually called "inulukan" in Albay. I had a friend from Camarines Sur who brought home with him pinangat bought from Camalig and his family was like "Bako man masiram. Mayong laog si pinangat." Haha.
If your Dad is a French, well, not a surprise you’re a good Chef
Erwan eating Bikolano food is making me salivate! 🤤 Balao is 🤎
FEATR deserves recognition/award. Thanks for doing this Erwan and your Team! 👏👏👌👌

I have been your videos for a week now and i love it.. nakakatuwa na malaman na mdami pa pala tayong hindi alam sa Pagkaing Pinoy at yung mga native na luto from other regions.. nakaka amaze.. parang gusto ko rin matikman😊 thank you Erwan and your team!
True blue Bicolana here, my childhood favorites: pinangat and kandingga! Thanks for featuring my region!
Thank you for featuring Bicol ❤️ as a Bicolano I truly appreciate it. To add, not all Bicolano's really knows how to perfectly cook the laing 😅 me for example, sometimes I can make a nice version of it and sometimes I don't 🤣 But it was indeed a nice food to try. Really masiramon ❤️ Hope to see you here in Albay Sir Erwan 🥰❤️
In terms of..cooking food with coconut milk,Bicol is the best..We cook meal,3 times..everyday..with coconut.😁
