Aluminum is strong for its weight, great material. Essentially lighter titanium. That said I've dropped both aluminum and carbon fiber from two and a half feet (no this isn't a test that I do) and marked both. Lost a little ano on the aluminum, made a tiny little scuff on the carbon fiber. One day I'm cutting a ziptie at work, snap through, slap a steel grate with nearly a full force backhand. My hogue ritter's g10 scales took red paint off of the grate so I expected decent damage. Wiping off the red scuff revealed no visible damage at all, not a scratch even, and I gained a lot of respect for g10.

Those are definitely popular for a reason. Overall great version of the SNG. 🤘🤘

If you don’t have a strider yet what handle material would you recommend getting g10, titanium, or aluminum? I’m not partial to any specific material by the way.

I’d say for your first Strider the G10 or aluminum is a good choice. You can get a good sense of the knife is right for you and then decide if you wanna drop the higher $ for the titanium ones.

If the material doesn't matter to you, then just buy whatever pops up that you can afford. Go to Arizona custom knives at 3pm everyday. Most of the knives there are overpriced but they release daily at 3 and you can get some great deals if you're an early bird. New from maker striders almost everyday if you don't mind the markup.

I love your review, but bro, g10 is way stronger than aluminum. G10 is also more of a fiberglass than plastic. Great review though
