@Lav I actually ended up buying a Dell Precision Mobile Workstation Laptop because I'm planning on doing design as my graduation. It's got a 4GB DDR5 RAM Quadro GPU. Works quite well for playing most games. It does heat up a lot while playing graphics heavy games like warzone

@@2eewoihwuef671 I doubt they sign a long term contract though, they most likely can if they really want to but AMD still got a lot of unknown factors - but more than likely they just didn't expect AMD to perform as well as they were this year, Laptop takes time to develop at the earliest it will be at year end before they can ship out some other models of their existing device with AMD chip

The consumers will be the last one to notice when a processor or laptop is better than other ones since the laptop has to be released before by the manufacturer. So manufactureres already 'noticed' that amd is better than Intel since you know it from their products

they probably feel the need to go even cheaper because people might not choose an AMD cpu over an Intel one for a 100-150 bucks. I am not saying It's inferior infact I haven't kept up with computer hardware for the last 5-6 years but I don't feel good with AMD for some reason

Because DVD players were most surely around in the 90's lol. I was born 1999, and even 4-5 we still used VHS. Maybe because my family was poor or maybe not. But I don't feel like DVD players were a thing back then.

I actually had a similar line of thought. And then I realized, I have shelled out $800 for a phone before on the grounds that I get tons of use out of it and it’s a device I “need”. I don’t really hem and haw over spending so much on a phone because I know I want and “need” the better quality and general longevity. On the other hand, I realized that I cheaped out buying a $300 Lenovo laptop that I “needed” for work, as well as personal use (photo editing, a bit of gaming, and then work). Now I’m spending a bit more on everything for the same reasons I do on my phone - more capable, usage experience, greater longevity (i.e. the quality of parts, as well as how long it will remain a capable computer as programs and things continue to expand and upgrade).

"just looks like a really old DVD player from the nineties" finally found a laptop that checks that box off for me!

Wait how long? Amd certainly has the best laptop cpus right now, but their tech isn’t being utilized to its fullest. Next year oems will take AMD seriously and put more effort into their AMD laptops for a good price. The G14 isn’t that great of a price but it’s still better than almost anything Intel offers.

I bought helios predator 300,amazing performance , loud cooling only downside.

i have owned a dell g3 3590 for the past 6 months(it has the same design as this) and the hinge gears grinded up the screws leaving me with essentially a desktop computer because im too scared to move around with it or close the screen or else it might fall off. I love the internals of this new version but the design is a huge deal breaker for me

UPDATE: Device overheated. Playing CS:GO. Stop code error message. Sent back to Dell. After repair (fan and heatsink), it over heated again. Same stop code. Returned for refund. Probably a one off issue. IDK.

@@shinigami6602 in case you don't already know, his laptop is now probably out of warranty and Dell won't repair it without asking for a ton of money. (there is a subreddit to solve the heating issues this laptop has, yes I own it too) its not a laptop you can use without extreme care about the heat, although once you solve the heat problem, its a powerhouse, it even has huge overclocking potential (requires custom cooling, can't be done by a simple user) and double the already great performance.

@@SalahEO I hope you haven't bought it already (I am a dell G5 SE user) this laptop requires you to attend to the overheating problem (there is a subreddit for controlling its heat, its name is r/dellg5se) if you have what it takes, this laptop will provide you with great gaming capabilities, but if you are just a normal user, do yourself a favour and buy something else.

I recently got it. It is awesome. I can play all games at 1080p high to ultra settings. To me build quality looks good. I have paired it with a good coolpad and easily cap temperature at 85 degree Celsius using Ryzen controller. Although I wanted Omen but its proce skyrocketed in my region for some reason so got this instead. Not disappointed at all.

I've watched your reviews and also read reviews on Lenovo y 540, ASUS ROG Strix G15 and Dell g5 se. which of the 3 would you pick if you're using it only for trading and not gaming. I read reviews on trading laptops, and they suggested to buy a gaming laptop because it was more powerful and can handle many charts and graphics. @@KanannMoli mostly for gaming but I use it for school work too. But watch out playing high graphic games because it will over heat if your not careful. But it serves me well and 1-10 I would give it a 9

I actually love this old look, I like the desgin. If I am still playing gaming on laptop like college, I would but this.

Im gonna create a gaming laptop one day for you guys, so cheap that it's free. It will be thin af, so thin that you can't even see it. It won't generate any heat, and it will literally make a vivid imagination in your mind, with frame rate of what you desire. Couldn't find this model anywhere last year, finally settled on a MSI bravo 15, good news besides awesome laptop gaming on the go is that I can fry bacon on the north side of the keyboard bezel during a gaming session. ^^

Great Review...again! See Dave as far as I know, intel has like all rights when it comes to TB3. So i would not expect any AMD device to get thunderbolt support. Even if intel would surprisingly sell licenses to OEMs with amd devices, they would for sure charge so much money, that OEMs wouldn't include it to keep cost down.

There is something about his review which makes me buy even the most expensive laptops altho i think i am gonna love this laptop..

Let start with the Dell G5 SE 4800H cheap panel is straight up hot garbage their ms response time sit around 25 ms thus is unacceptable for CoD WZ, we need close to 5 ms. 🤬 Video and Photoshop creators mostly need their Adobe apps roughly at 96 sRBG - ntsc gamut this OEM is horrible and the brightness well there is none. Dell G5 SE 4800H panel stand at the 56 sRBG... we call that an action lawsuit. There's no work around abilities with this Dell unit seeing the lag performance is stagnating and it might explain why we don't have a e - GPU capability of no high performance secondaries sRBG 96-100 screen set up. The major issues with the dynamic air flow circulation. Somehow the Dell engineers had miss stepped their main chips cooling solution and reach pass the height of 104 c. Smartshit as of right now is more like an hack job gimmick than a leading -edge of advance technologies. 🤬 Dell right now as of all the OEM'S 4800h variants of models lead at the bottom of the fastest 4800h laptops.

@@jayrogue1908 thermals are good especially if u support the laptop from back to lift it up as the temps fall down substantially. Fan noise is also not annoying but the hinge was loose so I'll get a replacement. The only thing worrying me is the hinge but I think if u take good care it will work fine.

I like it when Dave always shows colour accuracy and reviews the display with Kurzgesagt videos. Pretty darn unique

I think the design of this laptop is pretty much similar with the first Alienware m15 model released in 2018. They share similarity in panel and even in the PCB design. And they are both amazing gaming laptop from Dell.

I have this same model but with a i7 10750h and a 2070MQ, and I will be returning it, gets extremely hot, thermal throttles, like Dave said, super cheap materials, 2 usb 2.0 (mind blowing), and Bios with errors since ignores changes on RGB keyboard. I would really stay again of this laptops atm...

Just pointing out one thing - At 0:53 you told that this is the world's first laptop which have Gpu and cpu both build by AMD, but there's a version of nitro 5 that is configured with a ryzen 5 and a rx560x, which of course are made by AMD

No Intel do not have anything on amd atm. Unless you compare cpu's that consume 200w+ to 95w ofc. Intel is stuck and have been stuck for years now, and they will begoing to 7nm in 2023 as it looks now... And by that time will amd be on 5nm+ and Intel do not Even have their new achiteture layout done yet, all the good engeneers are leaving Intel because of a rotten company culture, which intel's Leaders at intel can take the Credit for. The only cpu from Intel that is ok'ish is the 10600k and that is for gaming. Only. But People use their pc's for alot other things than gaming these days. Every other Intel cpu are either extreamly expencive and power/heat drain og allso to expencive but underperforming, compared to amd. And if you have Any doubt about if What im saying is right, just take a Quick look at the stock marked😉 and then start reading up on the situation.
