Another artist that you didn’t mention, but I like a lot is Mikuro. I love the way they drew summer Camilla and the colors they chose, and some of the other character, and I like how they drew Dieck. I think when it comes to muscles, Dieck has the best in Heroes because of the way they drew him and did plegian Kris great as well. My favorite artist is Kita Senri though, the art is just so legendary, and they do Tellius characters the best especially Ike, and I love that Christmas Altina and Sanaki. I’m hoping that she will also get to draw Ranulf’s next alt, and older Boyd whenever he gets into the game.

You didn't mention Hino Shinnosuke, but his style is so unique and beautiful, Legendary Leif is still my favorite from him. I also absolutely love Joshua Ascended's art, it's so rich in detail. And young Boyd's art is already one of my favorites!

Small nitpicks: seeing as Kaya8 is a Japanese artist, the 8 is pronounced "hachi", which is how you'd say 8 in Japanese. Also Okuma Yugo is female, which explains why she's given us as much manservice as she has.

Oh damn my bad, yeah I actually thought if I should say 8 as Hachi but I've said Eight for so long I stuck with it in the end As for Okuma Yugo that's my fault entirely, I did research on every artist to not misgender them and most evidence about Okuma was people referring to her as "him" so I thought that was the right thing, sorry for the mistake there

Akihiro is my fav artist thank you for mentioning them I feel like they don't get enough love, I was obsessed with Mila's art when it came out. It has this renaissance vibe that is just so unique that I think the weird proportions actually give it an extra air of stylization. The only other art I would have mentioned is Sedgar, he's so fucking beautiful and for what

Glad to see I'm not the only one who loves the Shadows of Valentia artstyle, it felt like a history book when i first saw it, still think the same and still love it, it's so unique And Mila saying "CALLA, CAGADA" killed me, bonus points because of that

-Be Valentine Lucina's artist -Make one of the most beautiful arts in the whole game -Doesn't make more arts -Refuses to elaborate further -Leaves I still hope that artist will return soon, that Lucina is something else

My favourite artist has to be azu-taro, the colours has such a light feeling to it and it stands out a lot for me. Legendary Claude, Tsubasa, Halloween Sothis, and Summer Ashe are the ones that come to mind for me, but all of the art he drew is amazing

Ngl, that artist completely slipped our mind while my friend and I were making a list, it's tragic cause they also make a ton of good stuff, only one I dislike is Resplendent Roy

I think my favorite artist is Amagaitaro. I love how she makes the characters look cute and adorable. I also love the details too, especially Nino’s art 😄

Totally love this video and agree with a lot of your choices. One of my favorites you didn't mention was ascended Joshua. I loved his overall design and the awesome perspective of his hands in his attack pose and then the added daggers in his special was the icing on the cake

Yoo I'm glad you mentioned Enkyo Yuichiro! The only artwork I don't like from him is Halloween Nowi but it's more of a moral reason since it still looks amazing, I just like how soft he makes everything look, and to this day I still look at their art for reference for my own art, especially the colors. An artist I didn't see you mention is Yoshiku, maybe I'm super biased because they drew Freyja, who is my favorite FEH OC, but even then, their art is so gorgeous and detailed, and the colors, oh my god the colors, I love everything about it I wish they could return and do art for more than just the Book 4 characters.

Yeah, I've never been big on Charlotte, but her arts tell me a lot about her and I think that's incredible

Clicked for Oliver and I'm satisfied. His hurt art really says "my body is ready"

I also loooooove the berserker class, and they look the best on the DS games imo, the Fates ones are a close second (talking about their generic look)

I honestly forgot Harmonized Sonya was a thing, which means this video has made me realize that now with her new Rearmed Alt she now has more alts in the game then Mah Boi Merric, which makes me a bit sad. I think my number 1 favorite art would be Resplendent Eldigan, also on the topic of resplendents, and because she got mentioned, I also think that Nowi's resplendent is among the best Resplendents and I would also give an honorable mention to Merric's Resplendent which, much like Brave Ike's, looks dope as heck.

That reaction to valentine henriette is so perfect, it describes me perfectly when i saw it the first time Also, the reaction to Dancer Eldigan art make me say “oh no, he’s hot” too and is one of my motivations to work out to look as good as him asides from Majima and Sephiroth Great video, i enjoyed and have fun watching it

I actually love a lot of Corrin's art in Heroes. Her summer alt is adorable, her adrift is beautiful, her halloween costume is gorgeous, and her Brave alt is godly.

Yooo deadass Legion’s art alone made me invest in them and with their refine and unique personality quickly they quickly became one of my favorite characters in the franchise. I refuse to play the SD remakes though. Oukawayu should have definetly been on the list for drawing Resplendant Deirdre which was a massive glowup, she looks gorgeous! Enkyo Yuichiro is a BEAST when it comes to coloring, I cannot describe how beautiful all of their work is. And also DAI-XT for drawing Spring Bartre, holy shit.

In general I'm not a fan of her nor her design, but I can't deny how great and lively that art is

10:31 For me when I saw Resplendent Amelia I immediately got Rogue vibes. And I honestly loved that, original art was still solid but emphasized the armor. The Resplendent art makes her "look" a lot more comfortable and open. (Remember she is basically a young girl in the end and she barely knew how to be a soldier at first, heck she even had a hard time lifting her own lance early on)

My other favorites: cuboon (fanservice) Asatani Tomoyo (Ayra, Larcei, most Eirika, some Ephraim, Naga, etc.) Yamada Kotaro (FE6 manga artist) Izuka Daisuke (just solid arts all around) Kita Senri (no one draws FE9/10 characters like her, unless it's Wada-sensei I guess) Hidari (FE15 arts are solid) Kakage (pretty ladies) Konfuzi Kokon (also pretty ladies) Kozaki Yusuke (just solid arts all around) Maeshima Shigeki (mostly the FEH OCs) PenekoR (just solid arts all around) Sencha (the female Corrin arts are divine) Yoshiku (Freyja, Peony, Lene, Triandra) It seems that it's hard for a main game artist to have "not solid" arts.

I know she was the lead designer for Sacred Stones but if I had to chose I'd love it if she made the art for Blazing Blade, after all it's one of my favorite FE games AND she has proven how natural her style is on that series

How in the world you forget Teita Can we some love for Arvis No alt yet,but his art is simple and perfect,the fire on the special art,the damage art. S tier

my personal favourite artist has gotta be Konfuzi Kokon (Nanna, Fiora, L'arachel etc) i've got a major bias because Fiora is my favourite female character in the series but i just love their use of colour, and i was concerned about Fiora's summer alt but they made it super tasteful and fitting for the character. i've gotta give a special mention to Halloween L'arachel because the mad scientist aesthetic is just so damn fitting for her and the contrast between her hair and lab coat is just perfection. Scion Nanna is great too.

I was actually heavily considering that artist cause they draw incredibly cute, Halloween L'arachel was incredible especially when Dozla got in as some sort of Frankenstein monster

My favourite art will always be New Year Gunnthra. That art is just gorgeous, so beautiful. And right after her, I also love Summer Laegjarn, Fallen Ike and New Year Plumeria

I enjoy Yamada Akihiro's art style for one reason - they won't look out of place in a Medieval Tapestry. But I am more of a Sachiko Wada enjoyer. That's because my first Fire Emblem game is Sacred Stones. I was immediately drawn to their art style.

Agree about Pirate Surtr, hopping to get him to +10 some day.

Woah! I had no idea that the artist that did Hapi's poses was the same artist that did all the work in Kid Icarus Uprising! As someone who LOVES the Kid Icarus series, that defs bumps up Hapi in my books as one of my faves! YES!!!!! Male Corrin, at least in my opinion, has my personal favorite alternates in the game! Female Corrin's art.....especially from the one artist is too "UWU KAWAII" it makes me wanna barf. Yes cuteness is great and all but the fallen fem Corrin art pisses me off. "I'm gonna make anime girl uwu dwaggon noises at you!" Fallen male Corrin tho....He looks absolutely bonkers and feral! I absolutely love it! He looks like he could rip someone in half! Especially in the damage/defeated art! My boi looks pissed! The Japanese voice performance for the fallen form is insane! I kinda feel bad cuz he pretty much tells the summoner, "kill me if I get out of control." That's pretty dark. Everyone rags on poor male Corrin but his alts are really awesome tho! The artists that have worked on all the alts for him are really well done! Bruh....and all the Fem Corrin stans are gonna kill me but...male Corrin > female Corrin hands down in FEH!

YES I got so excited when I found out the KIU artist made Hapi, Fem Byleth and Miriel As for Corrin, well you're prolly already aware they're my most hated character of all time, BUT that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the art, and MCorrin got the best end of the deal with New Year and Fallen

@@TheGameShelf Uprising is such a great game and I am so happy to see that the artist still has some work outside of said game. (It's doubtful but I'd love to see another KI game someday - even an Uprising port would be great!) Nah I totally understand where you're coming from and Fates' poor writing really DOES mess up their character as a whole. There're a set of Drama CDs (you can find on YT) that helps make their characters a bit better and I sorta wish some more additional writing was added to flesh them out instead of making them into a Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu. I do understand where the dislike for Corrin comes from in the FE and Smash fanbase, but I don't like the heavy bias towards female Corrin because she's "cute." (Like I said her FEH art is god awful) Design wise, male Corrin is cool, too! Besides New Year and Fallen, his ninja and Adrift alts are great, too! Adrift gives him like this sorta dream like look (probs intended) and it really fits for him. All in all, their characters being the center of attention and overall writing all over the place in terms of said character development is just...a huge mess. I've said it before to someone but I guess what Corrin coulda been is appealing to me. I love the whole mythology inspo for the Dragon form as it's based off the Kirin (Japanese mythos) and Qilin (Chinese mythos) which are water dragons with deer antlers/legs from what I remember. Shoulda, woulda coulda but for real, Fates did the character dirty in terms of writing. And as someone who loves my dragon boi, Corrin would have been better off given a role where he's still important but not the center of attention. More focus being on the elder princes in the routes might have been the better direction.

MORE GAME SHELF LETS GOOOO

He might be a bit basic, but Kozaki Yusuke always does a good job, especially since Book V with the innovation of making attack and damaged art near identical, so attack and special can both be uniquely dynamic. I like Letizia, Reginn, Líf, Spring Sharena, and special shout-out to Ash and Elm’s special attack portraits. I vibe with Spring Est, but that’s the only FEH art DSmile has done so I can’t be sure about them yet.

@@TheGameShelf They apparently mostly illustrate light novels. The only other game I could find with them was a yuri visual novel called "OshiRabu: Waifus Over Husbandos". I found this wiki, Dengeki Wiki, that has their light novel work listed. They also post a lot on Pixiv. Spring Est is still my favorite thing they've done.

Hidari needs to draw more characters, Alm and Celica are fantastic but it would be so cool to see other characters with his iconic style

*Comentario obligatorio en español* Siento que con los años FEH ha sabido ubicarse mejor con su dirección artística, ya que han entrado más artistas, y de paso ya saben como vender mejor los personajes a través del artes y las poses. PD: Además, desde el cierre de Cipher muchos de sus artistas han llegado a FEH y han mejorado la calidad del arte del juego en general, por ejemplo Rika GODsuzuki, que si no mal recuerdo su primer trabajo en FEH fue Eldigan resplandeciente, y mira lo increíble que es (y que luego se superó con Ullr y todos sus detalles)

de mis favoritos que no salieron en el video esta maeshima shigeki (el que hizo a fjorm), me gusta como las texturas que les da parecen como que estan hechos de arena o nose asjasaj y me gustaron sus diseños de los hermanitos de nifl takaya tomohide (el que hizo a knoll y lewyn grande) tambien me gusta mucho desde cipher, y creo que las artes que ha hecho para feh estan bonitas y recientemente entraron dos artistas nuevos que espero continuen trabajando para feh c: el artista de resplendent lachesis y el artista de soren chiquito, estan bien bonitos sus estilos aaaaaa

OK IN MY DEFENSE, 2 things: -I just checked the artist and Ill admit, yeah Legendary Seliph's art is fantastic, totally an overlook on my part -Shez released AFTER this video was made, but god that art is so crazy good, makes you appreciate artists that make 4 different portraits

If we take any newer artwork released after this video, then Ascended Ishtar can be an honorable mention. Much like Soiree Ishtar and Resplendent Ishtar, Ascended Ishtar easily also outshines her OG design in Heroes.

I still love azu-taro's art. Almost every piece I see is magnificent, and they always seem to draw my favorite characters (But like, rip Tsubasa, because she definitely got the short end of the stick)

Another new one that deserves an honorable mention is thief Nina and Kagero. Thief Nina looks cute and something about her trying to dress like a thief is kinda funny; while thief Kagero looks pretty.

I know you are annoyed by the "Eirika monopoly", but that won't stop me from liking Eirka's standard design and Legendary Eirika designs. The standard design is a nice polish up to her original design from Sacred Stones and the Legendary design screams as a potential promoted version of her.
