It is crazy to me as a huge comic fan how little Alex Ross is talked about when art is brought up. He is a legendary comic artist. Truly the go to example of "lifelike" art. Like god DAMN that art is pretty. The Alex Ross Doom? His Invisible Woman? Its like the only Invisible Woman art in the game that uses her invisibility to its artistic advantage. They havent made a ton of his cover work into variants, but every single one in the game is just insane.

Once he comes out in spotlight cache by that point it'll be reverted back to being a bad card. Granted I never thought he was a bad card on release, but a lot of people voiced their opinion on him to pass picking him up, and then they buffed him. Sucks because I wanted to pick him up, but had horrible luck in regards to spotlight keys, and then they kept releasing really really good cards that are now meta defining.

@xdrkcldx he might be f2p so he's not trying to spend all of his tokens for a card possibly? You know series 5 cards are pretty expensive to get while token currency is absolutely slow to get on collection tracks. Some people don't want to spend 50-100 bucks on bundles with 2k tokens

His actually pretty awesome and can be devastating. I had a guy retreat after dropping a Red Skull and a Red Hulk in the same lane versus a Surfer deck. He had no chance of winning that lane. (It was a Limbo location game.)

@@xdrkcldx yes, maybe the other 2 cards in the week are even worth trying, considering a key takes 6k credits(which is equivalent of 60$, in reality), and maybe he doesn't get nerfed by then🤷

New card acquisition is way too expensive, she would have got more usage if new cards weren’t so expensive people would have picked her up and played her but a lot didn’t even try to get her let alone play her. SD is over bleeding its users, they need to change things up sooner than later.

I agree on some levels but I'm free to play and haven't had any issues getting cards I want you just have to be selective in what you do go after

@@ryanbass2458 exactly my point because people need to be so selective because it gets expensive people won’t waste time trying a card like Makkari because they can’t afford to use keys. Then you have cards people won’t try because they think they are not great and they get buffed or it turns out they are actually good then you gotta wait forever for these cards to come back around. The system is very greedy and discouraging and a lot of players quite because of it.

Yep, SD are greedy pricks and I went from being well on my way to being a whale, to season pass only. No more bundles, no gold, etc. They're ridiculous. These days I only even get on to do some dailies then get off. Their ridiculous card acquisition is very off-putting. I gave up on trying to keep caught up. Half of these series 5 cards being series 5 is absurd.

Yup... most players can only choose to focus all their keys on one spotlight week because it absolutely sucks to whiff on a spotlight. So most people have to pick a specific card to go for and they end up either being good cards or overrated. Its hard to know which cards will be the best. SD could easily increase the amount of tokens and keys we get.. they choose not to because they are greedy. They'll probably continue to make 100m per year.. it wouldnt kill them to be more generous.

Sasquatch is hated because a lot of people skipped Sage to have the keys for Sassy. On release, it just felt a bit meh, and Sages true abilities began to shine.

Yep, I'm so happy with Sasquatch (for one thing she let's me play Havok as a legitimate powerhouse), but it did feel bad to see how many times a turn 6 Sage has won for my opponent.

Hey Alex! That Quake is the Steampunk variant and she is wearing gloves because when she uses her powers it literally breaks the bones in her hands and forearms. Those are special gloves created for her by S.H.I.E.L.D. to help with that issue.

My deck I can't play no matter what is surfer. Its my close friend's favorite deck, but every time I try it I crash and burn. Ive hit infinite 12 times with 12 unique archetypes, so i can pilot a lot of decks. Surfer is not one of them haha

Well you can’t really grind in this game. But people that started on release are around 13-15k and higher if they spend money.

Phoenix Force took me from 6k infinite up to 1700 infinite and climbing. There are so many creative ways to win and so many surprising plays you can do. It's much more resilient than it gets credit for, and I have never had more fun playing a single deck in snap.

i have been struggling to hit infinite in time for the past few months, even though i used to hit it every month usually within the first week, back when i was really obsessed, the first day (simply not enough time to play snap, been busy with work and other games) but makarri made it happen this month, so i cant complain.

My deck I currently play has war machine infinaut combo. My play line is sunspot on 1, armor on two, hope on 3, shuri on hope armor lane, skip 5, double power infinaut or she hulk and drop 30-50 power on turn 6 avoiding Shang chi.

I love She Hulk Infinaut. I sadly don’t have Hope, but I actually want phastos so I can discount the Infinaut and get him and S-H both out on 6 after skipping 5. I think it’s a cool use first the card, because bonus power on S-H or Naut is also just nice

lol. I've been playing around with Storm, War Machine, Legion. Definitely one way to shut down turn 6 plays.

i remember when we started playing this game and you had 5 viewers and i always told you that you would be big in this game some day! im so proud of you both keep going :D

Im glad to see Namora getting some respect. People consistently underestimate her despite the fact that she is easy to see coming, puts up predictable numbers, and is relatively easy to disrupt. She's earned me more cubes than any new card in the 3 months since I came back to the game and it's not even close.

I feel like with the "Win 3 locations" those who had her put her in Surfer decks to try to clear that, considering how many Surfer mirrors there were this weekend, I'm wondering how much that impacts her winrate.

I'm assuming that's a steampunk variant for Quake. So, there's your answer. Earthquake guantlets are definitely a trope in comic books.

I actually love Makkari. Granted, I'm using her in homebrews that I play for fun, but still. I think she is kind of underrated. That said, she absolutely should have been a Series 4 card, full stop. It is beyond insane to have her be an S5.

The max grecke cull coming soon is fire. Artgerm is so good. Rose besch/ fiona so much great art I'm game

I'm not yet series 3 complete, but I've been all over Silver Surfer lately since I've gotten most of the cards to make it kinda work! That and I recently got High Evo, so those two are my shiny new toys that get the most play. I can't do much outside of series 3 decks yet, still missing all the spicy series 4 and 5s.

I love the namora shoutout. I bought her day one, played her for a day and then was done. I picked her back up this season and She was solely responsible for my fastest infinite climb ever.

Alex brings up sports as a Canadian and doesn't mention the final game of the Stanley Cup coming up lol

!mailbag After 1 year since spotlight caches where introduced, dont you guys think its time to improve it. In my opnion, we need to change or just get rid of the random 4/5 card-specially with duplicates only giving 1k tokens.

Got my brother into snap recently and he finally got to series 3 after a few months. I feel like sd should 5x the credits and boosters pre series 3 and give players all but ~100 (however many series 3 cards were in the game at launch) random series 3 cards once they reach that pool. With other live service games it only takes a few weeks to catch up to the latest content so that you can play with your friends, yet for snap the time it takes to reach the end game has only gotten longer since release.

Man Sasquach is killer in bounce decks.

Phastos would also work really well with Black Panther or Iron Man!

I don't see any downside to Phastos at all! Both reduced costs or higher power is good! Even on a late turn, he affects your WHOLE deck so your next card is buffed!

The downside is you will only draw 3 cards after you play him. So it won’t really matter. Sure, you can play a 5 on 4 or a 6 on 5 but only if you draw that on the next turns and it was discounted.

I have a WWBN In a deck that runs Iron Fist, Human Torch, Ghost Spider and drop Falcon to do it again. You get a massive torch and a decent WWBN

Mailbag: What if Makkari's text was "after the turn, runs from your hand to your last played location"? would her 4 power actually be too much at that point?

Imo it's worth it

I got to Infinite with a Makkari Sandstorm deck from ranks 88 to 100. 5 stars in the right deck but ONLY in the right deck. She was an MVP in the final game to reach Infinite. Wasn't winnable without her power and I played a card every turn so no power was wasted. 3 cards in hand at the end of the game.

Make her a 1-3 with the same text. Now you can play her anywhere but she still runs to a random location (maybe without restriction like jeff) if you dont play her. Can now be used with bounce, zoo and c3. Just an idea!

I love love love namora decks, just waiting to get beta ray next month to do a namora Asgardian Wong deck

If they wanted to buff makkari they would only need to make it so you can move her once

i have 3 suggestions to fix makkari 1 - change her to a 3/6 2 - change her text to say "after turn plays from your hand to a random location (if possible)" 3 - change her text to say "after turn runs from your hand to a random location" any of these would be enough for me to love makkari

15:25 Thanos often runs Mobius now and if they pig your Thanos you get a tasty 0/10 out of it

The reason why Second Dinner made Makkari a series 5 card is so when they do a series drop they can pick this card as a candidate instead of actually picking cards that deserve them.

I would like Makkari to go from the hand to a location that it can win if possible. If not just pick a random location. There is times where I wanted to play at a location to have more power but worry if makarri would fill up that location.

Max Grecke is awesome. Especially as most (or even all) of them are Rare. You get a lot of great art in comparison to 700g vs. some mediocre super rare variants.

I'd definitely be interested in revisiting this review of Makkari. As a Series 5 card that seems weak, and with Phastos + Arishem around the corner, I imagine most people skipped this week. So the 2% meta play is likely not reflective of how much people might try to play her. I fought some "auto play Agatha" decks and some very weird "discard silver surfer w/ strong guy + makkari" decks to dump hands consistently.

The Oilers are 1 game away from the cup and you ask about the Copa? And you call yourself a Canadian...

Still wondering why man thing is still a 4 cost with us agent being a 2 cost?

Question: Everyone and their mum is starting to get a little tired with the grind on snap is there anything that SD could do to make the the game more rewarding and more player friendly.(eg: better cashes, cheaper cards, more play rewards, ai bot rush mode. ECT.)

Nakia, Okoye, GwenPool and Phastos and you don't need Surfer. For Shaw. I think his viability will skyrocket after a few months. I think he's a Surfer almost auto include though.

mailbag: what emote or type of message would you like to see added to MS? Mine would be something that expresses, "all that for a drop of blood". When an opponent does the most, plays all 12 cards and still loses, to me playing like 3 cards.

MAILBAG - With the addition of the new Activate keyword, what existing cards should be changed from their current ability to an Activate ability? Seems like Zabu (In his current state) and Warmachine would fit really well with an Activate rather than On Reveal.

i think the one think that murdered War Machine was the "buff" to Sandman. I LOVED playing WM with Electro/Hope Summer. If i could draw right, play t3-electro, t4-Sandman, t5-WM and t6-Infinaut and a 1 drop which was most likely Ebony Maw. 27 t6 drop when your opp can only play 1 card was stupid. once you couldnt use WM and Sandman together the card just sucks.

In spite of beeing Brazilian I'm not a soccer guy, but Copa America is huuuuge here haha

Mailbag: Do you guys think that Snap ever would come out with a new card that somehow merged the 3 locations into one, and the goal became just for each opponent to have more power on their single side, rather than winning 2 locations (for that game). Thanks! Love you guys!

Is Namora only good with Jeff/Nocturne/Nightcrawler? I tried using her with Shaw and that was ooookay. Need some more ideas for the Namora deck as it’s currently just a moving wong/odin combo
