    I got mine recently, and with the little time I’ve been able to use it I love it so far! Use it with an 18-105mm F4 and Sigma 30mm 1.4 and it makes some great quality video when I film in HLG3! The battery life is doodoo tho. I did buy a Feelworld MA5 monitor with a 8800mah battery that I use with a dummy battery to power both my camera and monitor, and this is a great solution!

    I found one of these used for around 600$ usd on marketplace a few months ago and I jumped at it. I initially got it for a photography class at my university, but now that I have got into video, I’m super happy about its capabilities ESPECIALLY the 120fps at 1080p because I wasn’t even looking for that feature when I bought it. Now I’ve bought a nice Tamron 28-75mm 2.8 G2, the first gen Tamron 70-180m 2.8, a rode video mic, cage, side and top handle, and I have a v mount battery + external monitor on the way. Little worried about the overheating, especially since I will be shooting baseball, but still super happy with the investment so far.

    @@BeyondTheGame_E The reason I clicked on the video is that I was looking for a budget camera to watch my son's baseball games. If the camera is at a good price but then there are numerous other very expensive additions that are required then the wole package is ultimately not budget friendly. Most of u8s are not experts and so I wanted to get some help finding an affordable camera but this addition makes it where this is not under a 1000. Sort of makes the video title misleading for those of us who are amateurs. I walk away from this video still not having an affordable option.

    First an foremost, be for everything use from action packed motocross racing, to still shots and venturing going to do friends weddings etc.. but hwg… I’m getting into my first camera, I’m getting ready to start your video here so I have not watched it yet as I wrote this just a heads up, BUT, my go to beginner camera was looking like a Canon 7D Mark II with a 70-200/they also have a 70/300 used im looking at. . Now I’m not sure if you are familiar with motocross racing but I also need a good close up lenses for photos off the bikes, them in the area getting candid shots from not to far of distances. Hopefully auto correct didn’t slaughter this to bad. I don’t have a huge beginner budget, but I don’t want to compete color wise with some of the best cameras out to date. So if there’s a entry level that’s just a tad more… let daddy know!!!! Hahah

    Hey there, the Canon 7D mkII is quite old with old technology when it comes to things like autofocus, recording time limits, etc. I would personally look at the Sony A6400 in this video or the Sony ZV-E10 in that video kzread.info/dash/bejne/nIeJyaWbqrmfe6g.html. Regarding lenses, the 70-200mm is a great choice but you might need an extra one to capture things from up close. Something between 24 and 50mm should do. Hope this was helpful!

    It depends on your budget and how close/far you are from the action. A Sony 18-200mm lens will catch everything from anywhere but the image quality is not the best. A 70-200mm F/4 or F/2.8 on the other hand will offer much better image quality but it is also more expensive and you will struggle to frame any action happening less than 10ft away.

    Great video! Interested in the Sony A6400 for basketball and football videos. Would you recommend using it on a tripod for stabilization or buying lenses with in body stabilization? How do you deal with the footage not being shaky because all your stuff looks clean?

  • @BeyondTheGame_E

    @BeyondTheGame_E

    3 жыл бұрын

    For me it highly depends on what I'm filming. If I'm filming outside on a football field, I need a zoom that can go up to 200mm to get close-ups. So I definitely need a tripod because all my handheld sport action when I'm fully zoomed in is going to be trash. But if I'm filming basketball and I can be on the sidelines, I'll probably film handheld so that my movements are faster and it's easier (for me) to keep the ball in frame. So to answer your question, if you have a long zoom you absolutely need a tripod. If not, a bit of stabilisation in the lens might be all you need.

    The Tamron 70-180mm is a great lens. I use it myself. But there's no internal stabilization though so if you use it on a camera that doesn't have stabilization either (A6400), it can be hard to get good stable shots handheld especially when fully zoomed-in at 180mm. Also, when filming from the sideline, even the widest shot at 70mm will be too tight when players are just a few feet away you. Have a look at this video I made that explains it all kzread.info/dash/bejne/oaF7xrmepZOyfMo.html

But I personally haven't used it yet so I can't confirm how great it is or not. I do plan to do a review as soon as I can get my hands on one. As far as the Canon M50 is concerned, it only records 100/120fps in 720p and not 1080p. It also has a EF-M mount which means that you'll need an adaptor for your EF lenses or, if you buy EF-M lenses, you'll need new lenses when you'll get a new camera.

But if you are simply taking photos, I don't think you would have any overheating problems. But if you are talking about the image being too bright, that's going to be the same for any camera. Yes you can livestream with it. There are a few videos on KZread that explain how to do it. And there is an hdmi port but it’s a mini-hdmi I believe and usually they are not as stable as the full size. So typically it’s fine if you’re not moving the camera too much but not so great if you’re filming handheld for example.

    @@Snestor97 the further away your subject is from the camera, the more you have to zoom in. And the more you zoom in, the bigger every little camera shake will appear on your screen because it is amplified by the distance covered. The same way the slightest movement on a telescope makes you point very far away from your original target. So now imagine if that target is constantly running around. Obviously it’s a lot easier to keep up with a camera than with a telescope but, the longer your zoom is, the harder it becomes. Image stabilization will make it somewhat easier because it will avoid some of the shakes. Not the big ones though, it’s not a night/day situation.

    each PP option is a menu in itself (PP1, PP2, etc.). Just press the right arrow on any of them and it will reveal a bunch of options. The gamma setting is the actual picture profile. I used Cine2 for most of the footage in this video but keep in mind that I also did some color grading in post.

  • @BeyondTheGame_E

    @BeyondTheGame_E

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@millervision4532 First off, thanks for purchasing the LUT pack. Picture profiles are really a question of personal preference. If you want to go for the highest quality and dynamic range, you should shoot in SLOG2. But that also means a lot more work color correcting and grading every shot. The Cine and HLG profiles are much more convenient but there's no such thing as a best one. Just try them and pick the one you like. Same rule applies to the LUTs since they are creative LUTs. They each have a different style and I use them all in seperate situations. I even combine some of them sometimes. The key is to not go too hard on the intensity and adapt the exposure and colour of your original clips to get the best result.
