I don't think so... they've been good for so long keep them.. they're a classic. So so happy you're back to AOE2. I personally think you have what it takes to be the next generation GOAT of this game. We believe in you Hera.

The team bonus is too good in team games. Franks feels replaceable in team games with Huns or other Paladin civs, Briton doesn’t.

Britons should not be nerfed. You should be nerfed.

Really nice to see that your channel is already doing well after the switch back to AoE. I was afraid that the algo would rek you but it seems like everything is fine

What a boss. It’s the will to win and S-tier speed and strats that makes Hera so good. What a fighter.

I don't think Britons should be nerfed. They don't get Hussar, Paladin, Bloodlines, Bombard Cannon, Siege Onager, or Siege Ram, so if it goes to post-Imp Britons have fewer options. Very easy to out-manoeuvre by cavalry civs. What they're really great at is controlling the game during feudal/castle age, but the entire game can change in castle age if you get hit by a few good mangonel shots. Without Thumb Ring, their extra range seems to be less effective than Ethiopian crossbows in Castle Age imo, until they get Ballistics. Powerspike with Arbs in Imperial is the last hurrah for the Britons in the game, unless you've been patiently trickling out longbows. Warwolf is great tech, but is only good if you're in stable position - won't really get you out of trouble. Cheaper TC is definitely strong, means Britons have one of the strongest Castle Ages in the game, but they're not going to save you against 30 paladins. That's just my opinion. I think as a civ, they already have a lot of weaknesses, so if their strengths get nerfed, a weakness should be buffed. Maybe archery ranges don't produce faster, but they get bloodlines?

Warwolf is good as a defensive tech against treb pushes and occasional shots at masses of units.

That post imp fully upgraded longbow with war wolf trebs push is pretty hard to stop especially if your able to like cav raid at the same time

The full game content is a huge plus. The shorts are great too, but its still a lot of fun watching these

Wheelbarrow meta seems to have evolved. Back in the day experts emphasize wheel in late feud when you have a ring of farms around the TC and maybe another 4 around the mill.

Love the content grind! Just started taking AoE more seriously again, and I've been maining Britons as I wanted to solidify my MAA to archers play. After watching your "Winning isn't that hard" video yesterday, I've been trying to think through how to best identify different civs power spikes and match ups in order to improve decision making & strategical goals. Do you have tips on how to improve my ability to identify different civs power spikes and use that information to better identify win conditions?

whenever a civ gets a free upgrade or saves alot of ressources at a certain age, thats a bigt powerspike, look at the civ bonuses to see when that is. Late game powerspikes is about tech tree and unique techs usually. U gotta learn the civs slowly to understand this

being that there are 42 civs, the odds of a person picking any one civ is about 2.4%. The odds of you losing are about 100%, so I'd say the odds are about 2.4%

I think Britons are perfectly balanced

WHO IS THIS MAN? WHO IS MONO? HOW IS HE PLAYING LIKE THIS OUT OF NOWHERE?

I feel like people let Hera get away with sort of just migrating his vills to somewhere else and making TCs. If Monoz had left a few xbow up there his mass would still have been strong enough to the damage that he did, but Hera would have lost another 5 villagers trying to expand with no map control.

5:44 how you wall so far away? when i do that the enimy can break it before i walk to rapair it.

The britons range bonus should only apply in imperial age. The Castle age range bonus is too strong for that early in the game.

Hera came back to AoE 2? Was the LoL content not successful enough?

In my opinion Britons should be nerfed by loosing access to halbs...that way they will at least have some weakness to heavy cav/hussar civs (although no thumb ring helps cav civs a bit I think extra range + halbs more than compensates). They seem too powerful in certain matchups at the moment.

Lmao, "just cos my MaA accomplished absolutely nothing doesn't mean they were useless"... a few mins later when the xbows arrive....

If anything they should get paladins or bombard cannons. Their cavalry is bad and so is their seige.

Just a suggestion to improve your vids, I think you should reduce the clicking sounds, I.e. clicking units around, creating villagers, and more as when watching Your vids I feel people including myself get stressed over all your clicking (might be because we know we can’t keep up with your apm). It would also make it easier to understand you.

Briton’s are sick because you usually have more military, better military, and super complimentary cheap tcs
