This has been super helpful. I've actually been climbing at the same rate, reaching 1600 for last week and now 1700 for this week. The tips are amazing for learning this game in no time! Love you man

The point about the siege workshop having to be on the hill reminds me a lot on the concept of "influence" in Go.

Very close match and definitely a good example for this ELO, opponent's build order & times were the same (slightly ahead) as his up until castle!

Good stuff, keep up the great work!

I watch my own games back and I often manage to pinpoint where I lost/won games. Super interesting

He does have the food just would have needed to ease a bit on the knight production. I actually liked the way the videos were before. This way you are more pointing out mistakes that are very obvious instead of giving useful tips like you were doing before. And btw. very good teacher! Good teachers repeat themselves over and over again!

So late moment but it’s much easer to go 19 pop scouts with franks by putting the extra vills he put on boar and sheep on berries instead. It only works for franks with their berry gather bonus. I’m sure the build is available for Hera’s subs also

Archers wouldn’t be good because you’d need to build ranges and get all the upgrades so it’s a long transition, so making siege to counter pike was better

It's because those players have a sponsorship or something that requires them to be signed up as a coach, but they don't want to do a lot of coaching so the price is to discourage too many people from doing it. At least, that's what I heard Viper say, not sure which specific players you are referring to.

I was more disappointed with the 3 tc play in early castle when he was already behind in military.

@@MisterBhuiyan I dont see what was the big issue with that. He was fully walled, opponent had scouts and spearmen. Neither of those units are going to be threat in Castle Age (only 1 barracks producing spearmen).

@@rotko4448 agreed. I think 3tc is the superior way to play in a knight war.

This video could also be called 'why we all hate Franks'. You know exactly what your opponent will do and still can't stop him. You outproduce him with 1TC and he holds you at bay. You then catch up with his vil count by playing better while creating the counter unit to his army and he still wrecks you. AOE2.net - Magyars have a 42% win rate vs. Franks.

I mean blue also had couple monks which helped a lot in the huge fight. Like Hera said red wasted too much time and didnt even have Siege or Monks to help with the fight. Edit. Also red lost too much of his army too early when he didnt have siege yet. Edit2. Also how was this because of Franks? Franks Knights are same us FU Knights (extra hp only comes in Imperial compared to Bloodlines). And you need a huge mass of Pikes to counter that many Knights.

Three tc is the better way to play this matchup i think. Red caught up in villager count but not in economy. Red only caught up in vills because Skillyourself idled his tcs a lot to mass more knights, which allowed him to outmass the pikespam. I don't even think red expected this hard of a push. In my opinion this game was less about the civs, rather than the better approach. I actually would prefer magyars in this matchup, but i just don't like the 1tc approach with a knight civ.

Stickler for language here. I would appreciate it if you could call players "intermediate" when they hit, say, top 10% of the community, which is currently 1372 Elo. Also consider calling top 1% players like Skillyourself advanced or high level without any hesitation. The fact that you are the top 1% of top 1% doesn't change this. Thank you.

Red wasnt playing badly, he just overcommited into his rush in blue base and lost the number advantage there. Then he commited into boom instead of pumping more pikes from a greater number of barracks

When you can see both sides you can even find fault in Hera or Viper's play. When you play and doing all those things, thats when the problem is
