Hobo is short for hoe boys. Field workers in the 20's to 50' often traveled by jumping rail road trains to get manual farm labor. True hobos would take no offense in the term. It's a badge of honor and hardship taken proudly. If you're not a hobo you're a bum.

Sam and gang, I doubt you will see this but I feel inclined to tell you, I have made several of your recipes or otherwise used them for inspiration for my own dishes. They always turn out great. But, I have to tell you, this is the one recipe I keep coming back to. It is delicious and I make it just as you suggest. BRAVO.

Years ago... and I mean years ago (like 30), Wendy's used to make a breakfast sandwich. It had ham and egg and cheese and your choice of sausage or bacon on a Texas style Toast for bread. I would put the Wendy's hot sauce on it and it was delicious. I would love to see you do your version of that. I miss that sandwich.

wendy’s has some really good one-off menu items sometimes, the boneless wings from like 2008 were soo good

Kids and I are having these in the morning. Can’t wait. Also, my kids got me the 7” Nakiri knife for Father’s Day. And…..what a great knife! Thanks Sam! (and of course mostly thanks to my kids for buying it for me). Keep up the great work!

Of course your weekly appearances on The DSC Show are the best. Your KZread videos helped entertain my wife when she was very sick. Now you bring joy every other day to my twin girls and me. Its a Texas thing. I was born in Arizona and it was always the breakfast burrito then I moved tio McAllen Texas, and it was breakfast Taco. Other difference is in South Texas its not machaca, its Machacado. Same thing, but different

@@jimwise7218 This is South Texas, I hate when people call San Antonio South Texas. The valley is South Texas.

When I make hash browns, I use the peeler not the grater. It goes faster, and then you do a quick rough chop. I like the way it cooks, with lots of crunch, but still soft enough to be chewy. And it holds together well for flipping.

Love what you do and the inspiration you give to try new things. I love to smoke meats and I try to incorporate some of the dishes you have shown in your videos into unique bbq items! Keep them coming!

Sam - In Texas breakfast tacos are everywhere. It's the burritos that are in short supply.

I guess it’s just a Texas thing because I’m in the military and when I got stationed out in California, I had asked them if they had ever tried breakfast tacos. And it was like I was speaking Chinese. They were so confused and were like what in the hell is a bean and cheese ?!

Breakfast tacos are my go to breakfast! I’ve never really been a sweets for breakfast kinda guy, and once I figured out that I could simply shrink down a breakfast burrito into some taco sized tortillas, my breakfast game changed forever!

I think I found my new favorite breakfast after binge watching 3 of your videos. Love that oval skillet. She's a beauty.

In Texas the breakfast taco is THE go to breakfast food, beside the kolochi, and every gas station even the big chains, carry their version of the breakfast taco. The best breakfast tacos are found in the little taco stands and truck all over. There are drive-thru mom and pop type places that are only open during breakfast hours. I'm in Florida now and miss having access to so many different breakfast tacos that you can find in Texas. My personal favorite is the carne asada, potato and egg. Yummm

Needs some guacamole salsa for the green stuff.

I'll have my personal chef start an hour before sunrise and make that for me.

ITS SATURDAY MORNING AND CHANCE N LOUIS IS ALWAYS RIGHT ! That looks delicious 😋

It was the last hotel stay during a long road trip and I stopped in Texas...for breakfast the had all the stuff for breakfast tacos (and chocolate milk) and it just turned out to be one of the most memorable meals I have had.

I'll tell you why "the breakfast taco gets so little attention" cause Sam lives in California, not South Texas, shoot down here we don't even have breakfast burritos, I didn't know that was a thing growing up

Bruh, I LOVE your videos. I've made the taquitos, and use the leftover meat and sauce, sauteed some green peppers and onions to make a Mexican French dip. Grilled some hoagie buns and added a bit of Monterey Jack cheese. MAN they were the best dip samiches I've EVER made. Thank you for you being you, along with Max and Chance. LOVE you guys. I'll also be making your breakfast enchiladas tomorrow morning. Can't wait. Mmmmmmm looks delish.

I made these for breakfast and his Oklahoma onion burger for dinner. Both were Better than i would’ve gotten at restaurants in my area. Seriously good tasting food.
