It was good! I've heard the show might have many seasons and we're only halfway through book 1 apparently so I feel like we might be watching it for the next decade unfortunately 😭. It's a good show but I don't want to br watching it for 6 years or something ngl.

The Bear is probably one of the best shows ever, ya'll should watch it if you haven't yet.

​@alnahian1796 the show is more about the relationships and the problems of being a restaurant owner. It's definitely worth the watch. It's a pretty trigging show because a lot of people with messed up childhoods can see their families in it. If you are looking for something more like the movie Chef, then you will be disappointed.

@@alnahian1796 it's a character drama dressed as a restaurant show. Very little about the cooking actually matters. Season 2 develops The characters beautifully, but it can be very stressful to watch at times.

It's okay. I'm half way through season 2 and I'm pretty bored. Not much of the humour is landing this season and the plot and character development is moving at a snails pace. Plus the constant shouting is incredibly grating.

The Bear is probably the only thing even remotely close to a great show in 2023. Can't think of another one, as The Chosen and My Brilliant Friend aired in 2022.

Secret Invasion commits one of the worst sins of a bad show, it was boring and forgettable. It wasted great actors and performances, it wasted great characters, it wasted interesting plotlines, it wasted a crazy amount of money, but in the end, I don't even care enough to get angry or upset about any of it because the show was so boring. I barely remember anything from it. If it was bad like the later seasons of GoT or Heroes or Picard seasons 1 and 2, then it would at least elicit an emotional reaction from me and make me mad. But Secret Invasion was bad in a way that robs me of any energy and makes me completely apathetic and just bleh.

You guys should watch Silo. It was so great. I'd say it tops my list easily. My top three would be Silo, The Last of Us, and Foundation.

Something not many people have seen is Scavengers Reign. It gives out Lost vibes and has very creative flora and fauna for alien planet, a bit like Made in Abyss anime, except you can talk about the show to other people without looking like a weeb nonce.

Honestly way i crying in season 1 of made abyss make me scare watch season 2 😢 I actually hear about scavenger reign and how original it is

I met Garth Ennis at SDCC once and on Q&A line asked question about Crossed he had a good answer. I’ve read all of Crossed, though because I’m a huge zombie genre fan. Not all story arcs were good, some downright bad, depends on the writer

The only new shows I watched last year were Fall of the House of Usher and Blue Eye Samurai. They were both amazing.

Good pics overall. Blue Eye Samurai and Pantheon were phenomenal as well. The Bear was great. I could not get into Beef. The humor was there. And the acting for sure. But the premise felt super super forced. Oh and I really enjoyed Krapopolis. I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea. And LOL at you dorks not watching Succession. That show is a masterpiece. Always will be. It won't be out of it's time until the apocalypse. Speaking of which... Silo is dope.

Loved Beef, 9/10 show for me, and Succession was fantastic. Not sure about the Bear, enjoyed season 1, but absolutely hated the ending and season 2 feels very flat as of three episodes in.

@@sneakykangarooman442 keep going on season 2. You won't be disappointed. One episode in particular. You'll know when you see it. I'll try to get back on BEEF eventually. I just have to be in the right place to watch a show about people setting their lives on fire. That's what I meant when I said the plot feels super forced. But I'm only a few episodes in. And homegirl using a gun as a dildo was a bit tryhard for me. A24 is doing big things in general. So I'll always keep up with whatever they release. If you haven't seen Pantheon or Blue Eye Samurai, don't judge the animation. Neither are "Anime". Both could definitely have been made as live action. But their budgets would have been absurd. Though I wouldn't be shocked if they eventually had live action adaptations some day. Especially Pantheon. Which completely resolves itself in the two seasons. No filler whatsoever.

Season 3 Picard, while a bit better that season 2, was still rough. They turned Riker into a deadbeat dad (leaving Troi and Kestra behind), and Troi into something worse (manipulating Wills emotions after the death of their shared son - that is after she saw her mother do the same thing in season 7 of TNG, and knowing this doesn't work). The wholesome relationship of Riker and Troi was great in season 1 of Picard, what they did in S3 is straight-up character assassination. Also the Changeling/Borg-plot made no sense and the villain (Vadic) seemed to have escaped from the Austin Powers movies.

I just finished the books, I really hope the series gets through them all, it's some cool trippy stuff.

Silo, Foundation, For All Mankind, and especially Monarch.

Succession, The Bear, Scavengers Reign, Vinland Saga

I want to watch the show 'From', since I have neighbor who worked on the production side, but becaue of its name I have the hardest time finding it.

Gen V is smarter than most people give it credit for. It's a deconstruction of Silver Age comics, the same way The Boys deconstructs The Golden Age.

From has the best premise. People end up in a town that they cannot escape from and at night monsters come to try and murder you. SO GOOD!!!

Fargo season 5 just ended, and I loved it. Any season of the show is well worth watching.

Bodies is good. But it just reminded me of how special Dark was. 😂

Came for the speculative sci-fi and alternative history, but it was just 60s housewife melodrama so I dropped it pretty quickly. If it gets better then it's a shame the first episode was so dull.

Here is what I believe peoples problem is with From season 2. Important stuff is happening but people aren't realizing that the stuff that is happening is important because they don't have the answer to why the stuff happening is important yet. From is a puzzle. In the last episode of season 2 a character basically says if we can put 2 pieces together it'll help us understand whats going on. The thing with this show is that everything has been planned out. The showrunner knows all of the answers. The showrunner spent 45 minutes explaining what all of the answers are to someone who works on the show. So when we see certain stuff in season 2 people regard it as being pointless when in actuality it is going to be revealed to be very important in future seasons.

I didn't save the name of the unhinged comic crazier than "the boys". What was it called?

in that fondation tv show way too much FAITH and not enought big picture galactique change, not enought psychohistori at all . Also veeeeery on the fence about the huge change they did to the mulet. Funny scifi show, awefull adaptation.

I feel like you guys didn’t get Barry’s ending, it was supposed to be anticlimactic.

if you guys (preston) haven't watched Succession or The Bear, you definitely should! They are both some of the best written, acted, shot, scored, and executed shows so far. Succession is almost perfect in my opinion, S1 is incredible, and each season only gets better. The Bear is still running, so who knows if it'll stick the landing, but both of its two seasons have been great so far, with S2 being even better than S1.

From is very interesting, definitely give it a watch...I have theories 😂

Reservation Dogs was amazing. So many amazing characters. Gen V was good but also had a dumb ending.

@@alanpennie8013 The ending was just so sloppy. I do love a show that is fun and entertaining despite how flawed it is. The best part for me is the conceptual commentary on the modern world. Wish some of the acting was a bit better?

From is planned out begging to end. I thought season 2 was great and advanced the story quite a bit, someone even escaped. I think you didn't pay attention. And no one even mentioned Silo, even George Martin is a fan.

Think I'll have to go with: Silo, Beef, Succession, DP and the David Beckham Netflix documentary.

From season 2 is amazing!!! The story did advance. The show takes it times. Its a slow burn and doesn't rush its story to satisfy people who want answers now.

Invasion S2 was the worst thing I watched last year.

I think Preston failed to get that they have no resources to build a complex in From, they're trapped in the town with no way out Not dragging him, just saying, the buildings they do have are aged wooden homes

I did and it was alright. Rick and Morty episodes are usually alright or boring rick escapades. Occasionally we'll get a VERY GOOD episode like vat of acid but thats becoming more rare.

The worst show was undoubtedly Ted Lasso S3. Major pacing problems, and plotlines that ultimately went nowhere. Then, just when you thought "they could stick the landing," they pulled the rug the rug out and had the main character leave in the most unsatisfying way possible.
